Chapter 5 - Palace Lord Luo Li

He effortlessly pushes through their blockade.

They truly are powerless against Ling Ye.

In front of him, what are they? Air?

"Attack him!"

Immediately, the empresses scoff coldly and charge at Ling Ye. Even if it means self-destruction, they refuse to let him ignore them. They will not allow themselves to be treated as mere air.

"Stop, everyone."

A cold, clear voice suddenly rings out, crisp and melodious, like a spring flowing through the depths of an iceberg.

"Palace Lord?"

The moment the voice is heard, everyone halts.

Ling Ye also stops, turning his gaze toward the Purple Sea Immortal Palace.

Under the watchful eyes of all, a figure begins to emerge. Slowly, gracefully, a woman steps out of the Immortal Palace.

She wears a delicate, thin dress in shades of pink and purple, her smooth jade-like feet treading effortlessly on the void.

When Ling Ye sees her face, words fail him.

Perfection.

No matter how many words exist to describe beauty, they all seem insufficient before her.

Her face is stunning beyond comprehension. Her figure is enchanting yet elegant, exuding both desolation and nobility, yet carrying an innate charm that is utterly captivating.

In her presence, the world itself seems to dim. Even though the goddesses of the Purple Cloud Immortal Realm are breathtakingly beautiful, compared to her, they seem like pale imitations of perfection.

Unlike the others, she wears no veil. Ling Ye silently acknowledges that someone as exquisite as her should never be hidden.

She is Luo Li, the heroine of the original book.

"Palace Lord!"

At the sight of Luo Li, everyone in the Purple Cloud Immortal Realm bows slightly in respect.

The forty-nine female empresses, queens in their own right, bow before Luo Li, the goddess among queens.

She is the most beautiful woman in the Universe. Her appearance, temperament, and strength are unparalleled. Throughout the heavens, no one comes close to her.

"Palace Lord, he suddenly broke in. We couldn't stop him," one of the empresses quickly explains.

"You may all leave," Luo Li says, her voice cold and commanding. "In front of him, it isn't just you. Even if it were someone else, the result would be the same."

Her words restore a sliver of confidence to the goddesses. In front of Ling Ye, all seem weak—not because they lack strength, but because Ling Ye is simply too strong.

"Yes," they respond, nodding.

Before leaving, they glance one last time at Ling Ye. Then, they retreat, leaving the matter in their Palace Lord's hands.

Now, only Ling Ye and Luo Li remain, standing high in the skies above the Purple Sea Immortal Palace.

The two face each other. Ling Ye's blood-red eyes meet Luo Li's piercing gaze.

While others can't bear to look at Ling Ye for more than three seconds, Luo Li is different. Even though she knows she cannot match him in strength, her innate arrogance keeps her unshaken.

"My Purple Cloud Immortal Realm has rules. Men are not allowed to enter," Luo Li says coldly, her voice cutting through the silence.

"And when have I ever followed someone else's rules?" Ling Ye replies lightly.

The strongest man and the strongest woman in the Universe stand face to face. Their strength and pride are unmatched, towering above all others. In every way, they are equals, a perfect match.

Luo Li's willow-like brows furrow slightly, but she relaxes almost immediately. Yes, the man standing before her is the one who makes the rules—never the one who follows them.

Ling Ye is the invincible existence of the Chaos Universe, bound by nothing and no one.

"Ye Tian has gathered the power of all realms to break through to the Boundless Realm. And yet, you still have the mind to break other people's rules?" Luo Li remarks coldly.

"Are you worried about me?" Ling Ye asks with a faint smile.

Her brows crease slightly as she turns away. "I'm not worried about any of you," she replies curtly.

"Oh? Then I'm curious—if Ye Tian wins, will you really marry him?" Ling Ye presses.

Luo Li falls silent.

The words hang heavily in the air.

Whoever kills Ling Ye will marry her. This was the standard she set long ago.

But now, with the day fast approaching, she finds herself unsure how to face it.
