Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Setting Sail

Noah wakes up when the sun rises over the horizon and emits an orange hue over the sky and ocean. Today is supposed to be an eventful day, so after quickly brushing his teeth and getting changed he immediately sets out

...

Noah's POV:

I arrive at the town as soon as the shop opens up, I love when it's peaceful like this, if only it stayed like this I may not want to leave. I head all the way up to the North Port where the only shipwright business is on the Island.

I push open the front gate to the shipyard and walk up to front desk. The old man who runs the shop is sitting there sleeping.

Noah: "Yo, old man Polo, I need you to get up."

I watch as Polo lifts his head up with a snot bubble still coming out of his nose. His eyes open groggily and his lips make a tearing sound as he opens them.

Polo: "It's you again, boy? Sure, you can look around again, I don't mind."

I grab a nail from the small tray on the counter and pop the snot bubble coming out of his nose.

Noah: "I'm actually here to buy something today, so get up and listen to my request."

All of a sudden Polo's shirt rips open due to him flexing his muscles from excitement.

Polo: "Ho ho, my boy! It only took you 10 years to make up your mind. This is a big day, I'm all pumped up! Tell me what you'd like and I'll have it ready as soon as possible. Anything to get rid of y-...I mean service you, my lad."

I look at him with a blank and slightly grossed out face. Just as crazy as always.

Noah: "Keep up that nasty attitude and you'll plague your heart to death. Anyways, I'd like to buy a small ship for only a few people, I don't know what you are in stock, so any condition will do."

Polo takes in a big breath of air and turns around to face the large entrance that leads to the shipyard. His voice booming with Excitement.

Polo: "Ruford! See what small ships we have!"

Ruford: "Aye, Sir"

Polo turns back to Noah with a gleeful smile on his face. Polo is so happy that this stupid Brat, after a decade of looking has finally decided to buy a ship from him.

Polo: "Just to get rid of y-...I mean just to please you I'll only charge you 10 million Belly. You can pay me when you pick it up later today. I'll get it all nice and ready for you."

I smile at him, with him trying to get rid of me, I can't tell if he's going to rip me off or not. But It sounds good enough to me.

Noah: "Sounds good enough to me old man. Now stop flexing before your heart gives out."

Polo looks down at his flexed upper body.

Polo: "I can't help it, I'm just so exci..."

Polo's eyes would roll back into his head as he fell off the stool he was standing on. He falls onto the hard wooden floor.

CRASH!

I lean over the counter to make sure his chest is moving up and down before I turn around and head out of the shop.

Noah: "Nevermind, I'm definitely glad to be leaving here."

End of Noah's POV...

...

Noah returns to his hut to organize his belongings. He lays out his clothes, his food storage consisting of dried alligator jerky and...actually that was it. Noah would bag up some of his Belly and load it into his wagon before he dragged it into town.

Noah: "Alright, let's see, I should get a barrel of water, some oranges, so I don't get scurvy. What else do I need? Bandages should be good. I can't imagine I'd need much else."

Noah would go around the village and collect all those things he just listed. As he would pass by the City's water fountain for the last time his eyes lit up in joy as the man standing on top tripped over his own feet and fell face first into the bottom.

Noah would burst out into laughter and point and laugh at the informant as he stood up completely soaked head-to-toe. Noah speaks loudly to draw more attention to the sight.

Noah: "Everyone look! That idiot fell into the water! He's completely soaked! He peed himself!

Noah would walk away once everyone started laughing at the man in the fountain. This was truly shaping up to be the best day of his life.

Once Noah was back at his hut he unloaded his wagon and put all the stuff he just bought next to his belongings from earlier. With all the stuff for his travels set, all he has to do now is wait for Sunset to come.

Noah's POV:

Noah: "I can't handle all this excitement. There's still so much of the day left. I guess I can go hunting one more time, but there's nothing in there that amuses me anymore. But, Marianne should be running out of meat soon, so I guess one last harvest wouldn't be too bad."

I grab my finger claws from my pile of stuff waiting to loaded onto my ship later tonight. I slip them on before I grab my wagon and grab it behind me into the jungle.

...

I take my finger claws off and stuff them into the back of my pocket as I load the last of the Beasts into my Wagon. 6 beasts in 4 hours isn't bad, it's far from my best, but at least time has passed.

End of Noah's POV...

...

As Noah arrives in town and approaches "Merry Meats" he sees a people running away from the place. As Noah walks up further he sees what's happening.

Marianne: "You pirate scum! Trying to leave without paying! I'll kill you!"

Marianne leans down looking to chop his head in half with a cleaver. A man is holding her back however.

Captain Bulgeye: "Cut it out, Marianne! Even if he's a pirate, if you kill him I'll have to bring you in!"

Noah continues to drag his wagon through the crowd rushing past him. Noah soon stand next to the scene at hand.

Noah: "Just let him be, Marianne. Pirates who stoop to those levels will get washed by the sea. Anyways, I've brought you my last delivery."

Marianne would continue to press her cleaver down onto the Pirates head.

Bum ass Pirate #1: "I'll pay! I'll pay! Just get this monster off of me!"

Marianne: "Pay with your life maybe, Scum."

Marianne's eyes soar up over to Noah as she stands up. Captain Bulgeye falls backwards and rolls into the wooden front of the store. The Pirate begins to run away, so the Captain stands up and chases after him.

Marianne: "Did you just say, what I think you said to me, Brat?!"

Noah: Yeah, it's my last delivery. I'm buying a ship and heading out to Sea.

Marianne would look Noah up and down before she motioned her hand towards the back of her shop.

Marianne: "It's about time, now drop all those beasts off at the back, I'll have your compensation ready for when you come back."

Noah: "you don't have to pay me, this is my gift for treating me kindly."

Marianne: "Don't make light of me, Brat. Back. Now."

Marianne smacks Noah upside the head before walking off into her shop. Noah would smile to himself as he dragged the wagon back to the back of the shop and helped the employee unload it. Once they finished Noah dragged his wagon back up front and grabbed the bag of Belly waiting for him. He hears the soft sound of sobbing inside before he walked off smiling to himself, feeling appreciated.

...

Now back at his hut, Noah loads 10 million Belly into his wagon and makes his way over to the Shipyard.

...

Noah: "Yo, Polo. I got your Belly, now where's my ship."

Polo walks out of from the Shipyard into the front end of the shop.

Polo: "It's all finished, we were just cleaning it. Now, where's my m-...I mean, did you bring the money."

Noah: "Yeah, I got it. Just give me a moment."

Noah heads out the sallon doors and grabs the handles on his wagon. He bursts it through the wall as he wheels it in.

Polo: "My shop, you fu-!...I mean, you could have just gone around through the Shipyard."

Noah: "Yeah, well I'm eager to set sail, so maybe you should have just had my ship ready this morning."

Polo: "Hmph! Just leave the wagon there and go get your ship from out back. We can drive it for you over to your hut for the small price of a million Belly."

Noah: "Shut it, you scam artist."

Noah would walk off to the back of the Shipyard as Polo ran up and jumped into the wagon full of 10 million Belly.

Ruford: "Ship's all ready for you, Man. It took me all day to clean this, so I'd appreciate it if you were careful."

Noah walks up and sees the spruce colored ship. It fits 2 people...if one of them slept outside.

Noah: "Hey, I spent 10 million Belly on this. I'm going to treat it like my baby." "Gorilla Stength!".

Noah grabs the top of the ship and the bottom and lifts it over his head. He rests the side of the ship on his head as he begins to carry it away. Ruford would stare in awe as he effortlessly carried a whole ship away, even if it's a small one.

Ruford: "Maybe I should start hunting. That kid's a beast himself."

...

Noah's POV:

After lugging my small ship all the way to my hut I plop it down in the water and immediately begin to load it. I make sure my clothes, food, water, and my 3.2 Million Belly are all on it. I head over to the base of a tree directly behind my hut and dig up my most valuable belonging, money wise.

I pull out a black fruit with a swirly pattern and a swirly white stem. I heard these are called Devil Fruits, but I'm not too keen on eating it, if I don't know what it is. I walk over to my ship and bury it in my bag of Belly, so if need be I can sell it.

Once I double check all my belongings I push my ship further out into the sea and climb on and drop the sail. I turn back towards my hut and reach up and clutch my headband.

Noah: "I'll be back soon, Gramps. That's why I didn't say goodbye."

Noah would sit down and watch the island slowly dissappear as the wind in the sail carried his small ship across the large sea of the South Blue with the moon approaching over the horizon.
