Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: I'll change my fate

A week had passed since Kiara awakened in a real body.

When Kiara opened her eyes, she looked every day in this unfamiliar room, burning with fever. Only one maid had cared enough to watch over this body - Elara Larousse's body, which was now hers.

"What kind of life you lived, Elara?"

Looking in the mirror. Kiara studied her reflections. her fair white skin, long dark hair, and crimson eyes, her lips were smooth and tender, giving her a cold or mysterious look.

"I thought I was possessed Sharing*n" [she refers to Japan's famous anime Naruto]

When I was young, I always watched anime.

Sitting in a nearby chair, Kiara looked around the empty room. The maid was gone, and despite being a noble, she was doing her servants' work.

Of course, I always do this kind of thing in the back.

[The wardrobe told everything that she needed to know about Elara's life. Worn dresses, faded colours, nothing befitting a duke's daughter. She found one decent gown in white and blue, probably the only thing worth wearing.]

The jewellery box wasn't any better. Everything inside looked old and neglected. "You live Three lives, and you'd lived like this?"

"And you called yourself duke's daughter?"

[I never thought the girl who saved my life live her life like that. In her past three lives, why didn't she change herself?]

She needed to learn more about this world. "Where's that maid? I need newspapers," Kiara said to herself as she left the room.

Kiara stepped into the hallway, the long, clean corridor and the corridors next side were Servant's quarters.

"Look who finally decided to show her face," one whispered, not bothering to lower her voice.

Kiara without looking at them steps forward to the servant's Quarter's dining room. There all maids were gathered.

A sudden voice comes to the room, a plate clatter, like intentionally someone doing that thing

"Clatter"

"Spalt"

"Oops!" A Maid said. "I didn't see you, Yura, you were sitting here."

a maid said with fake innocence. They had deliberately dropped food on Elara's maid, who had been the only one to care for her during Kiara's fever. She sat there trembling, unable to defend herself.

Kiara watched them a minute, and without hesitation, she grabbed a water jug and dumped it over the bullies.

 "How careless of me,"

Kiara drawled, matching their earlier tone. "I didn't see you standing there."

The silence that followed was absolute, broken only by the steady drip of water onto marble floors.

"My lady—" one of them began, outrage warring with fear in her voice.

"Yura." Kiara cut through the tension like a blade. "Come with me."

Once they were safely away from prying eyes, Kiara turned to her. "Has this been happening all along?"

"My lady, I—" She hesitated, then nodded.

Her common birth made her an easy target for those who carried noble blood in their veins, even if they too served as maids.

"If anyone harasses you again, you will tell me immediately."

The words carried the weight of a command, tempered by the gentle hand Kiara placed on her shoulder.

"Bring me old newspapers," [but before go changed your cloaths] Kiara instructed, watching as she hurried away with renewed purpose in her step.

As Elara made her way back to her chambers, she pondered the hateful looks that seemed to follow her throughout the palace.

'What had Elara done to earn such universal disdain?" "What role had she played in this drama to be cast as the villain?'

"Your life, Elara," I promised myself,

 "I will rewrite it entirely."

The weight of the task ahead settled around her shoulders like a mantle. This was more than just survival now—it was about redemption, revolution, and the rewriting of a story that had gone wrong three times before. This time, the ending would be different.
