Kirei Kotomine wasn't the most talkative or the most pleasant person, but he definitely wasn't a monster, right? Kirei didn't enjoy his life much; he didn't know why he was alive, so why had he been chosen? But that didn't matter now. He had a deal with Tokiomi Tohsaka. Kirei looked at his hand and then at the circle in front of him before beginning to chant.
Iron and silver as the foundation.
Stone and the Archduke of Contracts as the cornerstone.
My master Schweinorg as the ancestor.
The cardinal gates close.
Begin from the crown and follow the bifurcated path that leads to the kingdom.
Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill.
Repeat it five times.
But when each is filled, destroy it.
Ready.
I command you, come to me.
Your sword shall control my fate.
Following the rules of the Holy Grail, answer if you accept my will and reason.
I swear here to embody all the good of the eternal world.
To expose all the evil of the eternal world.
By the seven heavens that bear the three great words, come to me from the circle of balance.
Protector of Balance!
When the chant ended, a flash of light blinded Kirei. When the light faded and Kirei was finally able to see, he found himself face to face with a woman. She had dark skin, piercing golden eyes, and long hair that reached the middle of her back. The color of her hair was a dark shade with lighter highlights. She possessed a striking figure and was dressed in a bedlah. The woman gave Kirei a cold stare.
"Are you my Master?" the woman asked in a dry voice. Kirei nodded as the woman circled him, then murmured, "Not very impressive."
Kirei looked at the woman. "Kirei Kotomine," he introduced himself with a smile, though it was clearly fake. The woman glanced at Kirei with annoyance before returning to her spiritual form.

Waver Velvet was a student at the Clock Tower who came from a low-prestige mage family. Despite his talent, he was often overlooked due to his lineage. "That's why I'm in this war—to prove my worth as a mage," Waver thought as he stared at the relic he had stolen from his teacher. It was a piece of black cloth. For a moment, Waver hesitated, but then he grabbed the cloth with a determined look.
Waver began to recite the chant. When he finished, a flash of light blinded him, causing him to fall onto his backside in surprise.
"Ho ho, it seems my Master is quite the amusing one," a voice said.
Waver looked up to see his Servant. He was a tall man, standing around 1.90 meters. He had dull blond hair and eyes as blue as the sea. He wore a buccaneer's jacket in a bold shade of blue, adorned with golden details along the edges and buttons, as well as golden epaulets. Beneath the jacket, he had an unbuttoned white shirt, revealing several tattoos on his chest. A silver cross necklace hung around his neck. He also wore white trousers and black boots that reached up to his knees.
Waver looked at his Servant in awe. He had actually done it—he had summoned a Servant and would now participate in the Holy Grail War. Waver smiled at the thought of the faces the noble mages would make when he, Waver Velvet, from a humble family, won the Grail War.
"I like your determination, kid," the Servant said. "I am summoned as Rider, but my true name is Roderick Stormsail. You can call me Captain." Rider introduced himself with pride before turning to walk away. "Now, kid, follow me. We're going to explore every corner of this city."
Waver watched as his Servant marched off and quickly began following him, all the while protesting that they needed to come up with a strategy first.

Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald is a wealthy and successful noble, a renowned mage of the Mage's Association, and a professor at Euryphis in the Department of Spiritual Evocation. Kayneth demonstrated genius-level talent during his time as a student. He became the youngest professor in the history of the Department of Evocation to take the podium. His magical lineage dates back over nine generations. Born with immense talent, he rarely, if ever, encountered any obstacles in life.
Kayneth would also proudly add that he had a beautiful wife. So why the hell did something go wrong? His catalyst had been stolen, and now he had to find another one. Kayneth looked at the piece of wood in his hand; he didn't even know who it belonged to. He had simply requested a powerful catalyst.
Kayneth turned to the magical circle in the center of his luxurious room and, with a growl of annoyance, began his chant.
When the chant ended, the circle flashed brightly, though Kayneth didn't avert his gaze. When the light faded, there was no one standing before him. Kayneth remained frozen, staring at the empty space. A vein pulsed on his forehead, but just before he could start cursing, he heard the sound of a bag opening, followed by someone chewing.
Turning around, Kayneth saw someone lounging on his armchair. Walking over, he saw the person sitting there—a man who appeared to be in his 40s. He had black hair, gray eyes with a metallic tint, and a scar that ran from his eyebrow, across his nose, down to his chin. He sported a medium-length beard and wore a red kimono with black details.
The man was reclining comfortably, eating some chips. "Hey, Master. Servant of the Lancer class," the man said in a bored tone. Kayneth stared at him, speechless.
"Before we get into any battles or training, I need a day off," Lancer added, munching on a few more chips.

Kariya Matou was a kind man who had left the world of sorcery behind and started a normal life, far away from the monster that called itself his father. So why was he now participating in the Holy Grail War? The answer was simple: he wanted to save the daughter of the woman he loved. "The girl doesn't deserve to go through Souken's hell," Kariya thought, looking at the terrifying old man in front of him with disgust.
"Jojojo, my dear son is about to fight in a Holy Grail War," Souken said with sarcastic excitement, flashing a mocking grin at Kariya. Then, from his robes, he pulled out an object and tossed it to Kariya, who caught it and saw it was a worn brick.
"It's a brick from Camelot," Souken said with a smirk. "I hope you summon a pretty Berserker," he added mockingly.
Kariya stared at the brick before muttering, "It's not hard to find something prettier than you."
Suddenly, Kariya felt something move inside him, forcing him to his knees. Souken gave him a cold, indifferent look as Kariya struggled back to his feet.
With shaky determination, Kariya turned his gaze to the magical circle in front of him and began to chant.
The flash blinded Kariya as Zouken laughed loudly. When the light faded, standing before Kariya was a short man. His face and head were entirely concealed by a deer-shaped helmet. His bare torso revealed a muscular physique, and he wore damaged, loose brown pants. Kariya couldn't help but notice the massive axe the Servant held in his hand—a giant golden axe with a wooden handle.
"Looks like you summoned a child," Zouken mocked as he approached Kariya.
With a single swing of his axe, the Servant split Zouken in two. The old man dissolved into a pile of worms that scattered across the room.
Kariya gave his Servant a small smile. "Thanks for that, Berserker," he said in gratitude. Berserker let out a growl at the worms as they burrowed into the wood around them.

Ryuunosuke Uryuu was a simple man. To many, he seemed like an average worker with a minimum-wage job and a boring life. But Uryuu was far from ordinary—he was a killer with over 40 murders to his name, and he was in the middle of committing another crime.
Uryuu looked at the poor child tied up in front of him before glancing at the open book. "Demons must be so cool," he murmured excitedly, pacing in circles as he examined the magic circle on the floor. Turning to the next page, he saw a chant. "Ah, I see. So I have to chant," he said confidently, only to frown moments later. "But my singing skills are pretty bad."
An idea suddenly struck him, and he turned to look at the child before him. "You, kid, I need your help," Uryuu said as he approached the boy. The child recoiled in fear, which annoyed Uryuu, prompting him to kick the boy, who whimpered in pain. Uryuu ripped the gag from the boy's mouth. "Now, sing this," he demanded, handing the book to the trembling child.
Terrified, the boy began to sing the chant. When he finished, the room fell silent. Uryuu's expression turned sour, convinced the boy had done it wrong. Before he could say anything, a white hand pierced through his chest. Uryuu's body burned to ash, disintegrating entirely.
The boy stared in horror. From the shadows emerged a woman cloaked in a robe, with a monstrous white creature with many arms behind her. The creature faded into nothingness as the woman turned to the boy. "Servant of the Caster class, at your service," she said softly.
"Tell me, Master, can you share your name?" she asked.
The boy hesitated before answering. "My name is Ronald. Ronald Barthomeloi," he said nervously as Caster helped him to his feet.
Ronald glanced at his Servant, her identity obscured by the heavy robe and a helm that concealed her face, though her voice revealed her as a woman. Caster took Ronald's hand.
"Tell me, Ronald, what is your wish?" she asked as they exited the house.
"I want..." Ronald paused, his voice wavering. "I want my parents back... and I want people like the one who killed them to disappear," he said with determination.
"Then, Ronald," Caster said, her voice resolute, "as your Servant, I will make this war easy for you."
Her eyes glowed a vivid violet beneath her helm as the duo made their way into the forest, the sound of police sirens wailing in the distance.

Inside a cave stood a massive stone structure shaped like a door. Before it, a magic circle began to form, glowing with an eerie light. From within the circle, two arms emerged, forcing it open with sheer strength. The hands gripped the edges, pulling up a figure—a man dressed in a filthy, tattered brown robe.
His body was covered in crimson tattoos, his eyes gleamed a deep blood-red, and his hair was as black as coal. Standing up with a sinister grin, the man let out a mocking chuckle.
"Well, well… it seems tricking the summoning system was easier than I thought," he said with a taunting tone.
He then attempted to walk toward the cave's exit, but suddenly, a chain shot out from his neck, binding him to the stone structure. The man cursed under his breath, turning his furious gaze toward the massive stone door.
"Damn it… looks like I'm still tied to this damn thing," he muttered, glaring at the structure with frustration.
...
"Anomaly detected = Semi-Beast detected. Preparing Grand summon."
A golden light began to emerge, but it was suddenly interrupted by a surge of dark energy.
"Summoning error."
The golden light was completely extinguished.
"Hehehe, looks like things are getting interesting… so just this once, don't interfere."
A shadowy figure grinned strangely before letting out another eerie laugh.
