Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Divine Destruction

The evening seemed peaceful in the family home, the warm glow of a lamp at the center of the table lighting up the joyful faces of Ryuu's family members. Sitting around the meal, laughter filled the room as his father told a story from his childhood.

"Do you remember the time you challenged me to a race, Ryuu?" his father asked, smiling. "No matter how fast you ran, I always had the upper hand."

Ryuu burst into laughter, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"It was just a matter of strategy! I almost had you!" he replied, teasing his father.

Mei, his older sister, sighed.

"Don't listen to them, I'm the only one here who can beat them at everything they do!"

"We'll see about that tomorrow! We'll race to the river, that's where I'll prove I'm the fastest!" Ryuu exclaimed, excited by the idea.

"There's no harm in dreaming, little brother," Satoshi said, raising his glass of juice.

The moment seemed perfect until suddenly the earth trembled beneath their feet. A deep rumble shook the house.

BOOOOM!

Objects fell from shelves, and the walls vibrated violently. A heavy silence settled.

"What was that?" Mei asked, her eyes wide with fear.

Ryuu's father stood up hastily, his expression becoming serious.

"Stay here, I'll check," he said in a calm but authoritative voice, before rushing toward the door.

Before he could reach it, another sound, even more powerful this time, shook the house.

KRRRAK! The ground trembled violently, and the door shattered, thrown back with devastating force.

Ryuu's family rushed to the window. Outside, horror unfolded. A massive figure loomed on the horizon, its gigantic shape slowly approaching their house. The creature was both humanoid and monstrous. Its features were inhuman: it had no eyes, only two pairs of wings extending from each side of its head. The wings, enormous and translucent, quivered, emitting a supernatural glow. Behind the creature, a serpent-like tail stretched out, slithering through the air with unsettling grace.

At the top of its head, a giant wheel with eight handles turned slowly, adorned with mystical symbols. The lower half of its body was covered in a black hakama, and a white belt cinched its waist, adding to its sacred and menacing appearance. The aura it radiated was both divine and devastating.

SWOOOOSH! The air around the creature vibrated like thunder, threatening to consume everything.

"What... what is that?" Mei murmured, her voice trembling.

Ryuu's father suddenly stood up, his gaze hardening.

"Stay here. I'll take care of this," he said in a determined voice.

But before he could take a step, the creature raised a colossal hand and struck with irresistible force.

BAM! The wall of the house gave way under the impact, sending splinters of wood and stone flying in all directions. The family recoiled as Ryuu's father lunged forward, desperately trying to push the creature back.

"Run!" he shouted.

The creature, unmoved by the family's cries, made a swift motion with its serpent tail. SWOOOOSH! The tail collided violently with Ryuu's father, sending him flying several meters with a deafening crash.

"Dad!" Mei screamed, rushing toward him.

She knelt beside him, but another wave of energy from the creature forced her to stumble back a few steps. SHHHHOOOM!

"Noooon!" Satoshi yelled, rushing to protect his sister, but he was brutally thrown to the ground by a blast of magical energy. KRRRASH! He rolled several meters before crashing into a tree.

The beast, unaffected by the family's screams, approached slowly. Its wings fluttered harder, and an apocalyptic wind began to blow around it. The creature only moved forward, terrifying everything in its path.

It was then that Ryuu, terrified, felt something inside him, something powerful, awakening. He had never felt this before. A divine, burning, uncontrollable light began to shine around his body. RAAAAAH! He leapt forward with a scream of terror, and suddenly, a massive light engulfed him, bursting around him in waves of pure energy.

The creature's wings slowly began to form on him. A whirlwind of enraged energy tore through the air, and his arms stretched out, transforming every muscle in his body. He absorbed the soul of the divine creature in an instant of chaos and blinding light.

The celestial wheel appeared above his head, spinning endlessly. The creature's massive wings unfurled behind him, and a powerful roar escaped his lips, a cry mixed with pain and rage. He had become the creature, a fusion of divine light and primal power.

BOOOOOOM! The house collapsed under the explosion of energy. The ground cracked, chunks of stone and wood flying in all directions as Ryuu, in his divine form, began striking relentlessly, breaking everything in his path.

He then turned toward his family, his eyes now soulless, his mind drowned in rage. He saw his sister Mei scream, his brother Satoshi lying on the ground, his father defeated and lifeless. He didn't understand what was happening, he couldn't control anything anymore. SHHHHOOOM! A final blast of energy swept everything in its path, and his family, all his loved ones, were reduced to dust.

RAAAAAAH! Ryuu screamed in pain, his cry echoing through the air as shards of light burst from his body. But little by little, the light faded, and the beast collapsed upon itself, leaving Ryuu trembling, human once again, his eyes filled with horror.

He slowly rose, his body covered in blood and ashes. Around him, the landscape was devastated, his home reduced to rubble. He looked around in horror, his mind grieving and broken.

"No... No... No..." he murmured, tears streaming down his face. "What have I done..."

"What have I done... What have I done..." Ryuu murmured endlessly, his trembling hands resting on the debris of what had once been his home. The bodies of his parents, Mei, and Satoshi lay there, reduced to ashes and ruins, and he could only look at them in a mixture of terror and absolute pain.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." he screamed, his words distorted by his sobs. He rushed to the remains of his father, clutching the charred pieces of clothing, his face marked by an endless suffering. His tears flowed like a torrent, but nothing seemed to erase the crushing weight of what he had just done.

He ran from piece to piece, but the reality of what he had caused remained there, frozen in the dust and ashes. He screamed again, a cry tearing through the air.

"I'm sorry..." His words were a desperate echo, an unbearable refrain.

After a long moment, Ryuu collapsed to his knees, his body exhausted and marked by pain. He wrapped his arms around his legs, curling up as if hoping to sink into the ground, to hide from his own grief. He fell against a destroyed wall of the house, murmuring endlessly:

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

His blue hair, now disheveled, fell over his face, obscuring his eyes filled with tears. The wind blew softly through the ruins, but Ryuu did not move. He didn't eat, didn't drink. He simply cried in the silence, cried endlessly, his spirit shattered. The days stretched on, turning into weeks. The village was now a desert, a lifeless land where only the shadow of pain lingered.

A month passed this way.

The wind gently blew through the devastated village, carrying with it the dust that seemed to cover everything in its path. The sun slowly rose on the horizon, casting a weak light over the scene of destruction. Amid the ruins, Ryuu was still there, sitting against a wall, his eyes fixed on his trembling hands, his gaze lost. He continued to murmur, tirelessly, like a desperate chant.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." His voice was weak, broken by pain.

Suddenly, a soft sound caught his attention. A calm, measured step, like a man who knew he was walking in a world where time seemed suspended. Ryuu slowly lifted his eyes, not really seeing, and saw a figure approaching. An old man, of small stature, stood before him. His graying hair and face marked by the years were anything but threatening. But despite his small size, the man radiated a certain authority and kindness. He stood straight, not rushing, as if he feared nothing around him.

He stopped a few steps from Ryuu, first looking at him gently, then bending slightly to address him.

"Hey, young man, what's your name?" The old man's voice was calm, but full of deep kindness.

Ryuu slowly lifted his eyes, his blue hair falling over his face, still murmuring, not really understanding the question.

"I... I'm Ryuu..." His voice was barely a whisper, and he turned away from the man, ashamed of what he had done.

The old man looked at him in silence, then gently sat next to him, though not lowering himself to the ground. Strangely, he seemed to be of the same height as Ryuu, even though the latter was sitting on the ground. He observed Ryuu, understanding that he had seen something horrible, something he wouldn't forget soon.

"Ryuu, tell me what happened. Why are you alone here, in these ruins?"

A shiver ran through Ryuu's body, but he finally lifted his head, his eyes filled with tears and confusion. He trembled slightly before speaking.

"It's... it's my fault. I... destroyed everything." He lowered his head again, tears flowing endlessly. "I killed my family... my mother, my father, my brothers... everything."

The old man nodded gently, listening carefully without interrupting. He understood that Ryuu's pain didn't just come from what he had done, but from his inability to comprehend what had happened. Makarov knew that Ryuu was still too young to grasp the full extent of his power, but something in him had reacted, without control.

"I'm Makarov." The old man introduced himself, smiling gently, a glimmer of kindness in his eyes. "I'm the master of the Fairy Tail guild."

The name Fairy Tail meant nothing to Ryuu, but the intensity of Makarov's presence struck him, like a comforting warmth that pierced through his pain. He felt that this man, though strange, only wanted to help him.

Makarov, with a nearly fatherly gentleness, placed his hand on Ryuu's shoulder, as if encouraging him to look up, to see the future.

"You've lost a lot, young man. But you are not alone." Makarov spoke in a voice that was neither authoritative nor too soft, but just perfect to calm Ryuu's devastated heart. "You are not the first to go through such a trial. But there is still time for you. The magic within you is special. Very special."

Ryuu slowly turned his head towards Makarov, his eyes full of confusion and doubt. He didn't really understand what he was talking about. The mention of magic confused him even more, but deep inside, something in him seemed to awaken.

"Magic...?" He repeated, lost. "What are you talking about?"

Makarov, while staying calm, explained in a reassuring voice.

"The magic you possess is called Take Over - Soul Divin. It's a very rare and powerful magic. It allows you to take on the appearance and powers of divine entities. But it is also dangerous if not controlled."

Ryuu's gaze became even more clouded; he couldn't understand. A part of him wanted to run away, to hide in a corner and forget everything he had done. But another part, a deeper part, felt that this magic could be the key to changing things.

Makarov looked at him intensely, his eyes full of wisdom.

"You must learn to control this magic, Ryuu. It can be a blessing... but also a curse if you don't understand it."

Ryuu, still stunned, looked at the ground, lost in his thoughts. He felt empty, like an empty shell. He didn't have the strength to respond immediately, but Makarov's words were beginning to echo in his mind.

Makarov stood up, looking around at the ruins of the village, then turned to Ryuu.

"You can't stay here. This isn't the end, Ryuu. I invite you to join Fairy Tail. It's time for you to learn to control your magic and find your place in this world."

Makarov's words seemed to weigh heavily on Ryuu, but a small spark of hope began to burn in his heart. Maybe this wasn't the end for him after all. Maybe, somewhere, a path of redemption awaited him.

He slowly lifted his eyes to Makarov, a spark of hope in his gaze. "Fairy Tail...?"

Makarov nodded, a kind smile on his lips.

"Yes, Fairy Tail. There, you will learn to master your magic and understand who you truly are."

Ryuu lowered his head, and after a moment of silence, he slowly nodded, as if he had just made a difficult but necessary decision. The path would be long, but he was ready to begin.
