A gaunt figure was seen in the darkness, his silver eyes burning with deep hatred, his breath, laboured. He moved slowly as two broken knives was seen visibly that it was easy to tell that he was been stabbed and did not have much time left to live. A distant sound caused the void to fry and space to undulate along with the loud voice of someone crying in complete sorrow.
He gnashed his teeth and bent in a kneeling position while his blood leaked out from the punctured skin of his body. It was impossible to reach the tree of life on time for healing and trying to travel 500 kilometers to the east is akin to suicide. Besides, he wouldn't be able to make it in time and end up bleeding to death. He immediately smiled, his teeth stained with blood.
He shook his head.
"Let's do this again, please. I don't want to die. I don't want our universe to be annihilated in this apocalypse. Let's do this again, please."
His voice was pleading, his eyes red. He could only plead for a second chance, however there was a condition to getting that second chance.
He spat out blood and brought out his pendant and unlocked the cover. He stared at the image engraved within. It was the picture of the Master Path, who was the Dao of Time.
The man in the picture had a keen smile on his face, but the one holding the picture was in a state of emergency. His skin cracked as blood spilled everywhere.
"Is it restarting?"
His heart raced, his chest moved up and down in anticipation. The Master Path had promised him a second chance to save his universe in exchange for his own soul however it wasn't said whether the process would be successful or not. He took it as a gamble. He prayed that he got that second chance even if it was for a brief moment. He waited for it to work.
The Master Path had promised…
The Master Path had promised. The Day of Time!
Suddenly the sky changed and everything was filled with gray. At that moment, the young man saw a powerful creature appear before him in an instant and it ripped his body to shreds, blood and body bits scattered on the floor, but he wasn't actually dead.
The gray power enveloped the universe making everything around to simply shift and drift. The world swayed like a ship in a raging sea.
The man smiled and the world was instantly reversed.
This was it, time reversal. He had actually sacrificed his soul just to make sure his universe survives the apocalypse. He was never getting his soul back, it now belonged to the Master Path.
He opened his eyes and he sat on a wooden chair, a strange static key in his grasp. He tried to recollect this part of his life. He knows that the universe would be destroyed and it was very soon.
The Master Path had only reversed him a day before the apocalypse would descend and that gives him an extra day to prepare.
The universe was divided into three parts. The Innerverse, the Outerverse and the Neoverse. The three cosmos were very large and powerful with humanity bearing the moving Ossis ark that is capable of rendering any enemy that invades this universe helpless.
Before time had been reversed by the Master Path Dao of Time, no one had known that an apocalypse would descend and it was actually what led to humanity's downfall.
The Ossis ark was taken and used against the humans. The Ossis ark wasn't just a powerful force that is offensive and defensive. It can actually release a horde of creatures that can fill up an entire cosmo, for example, the Innerverse, Outerverse and the Neoverse.
Now that time had been reversed, things would be done the normal way, he would stand a chance against the enemy. It would not be very difficult again!
The door immediately creaked open and a man walked in.
"Young Master Grant, your father demands your presence!"
The young man, Grant, his silver eyes opened and he stared at the elderly man before him.
This was the moment when his own father had told him to go steal the Ossis ark from the people who actually carried it.
Previously, he had refused to steal it due to it's immense power and how of great importance that it was to humanity. But now, his eyes flashed. If he would steal to save this universe, then he would do just that.
Grant immediately stood up and followed the elderly man. When he met his father, the great Saro, he was met with a cruel gaze that asked him to steal the ark.
"I want you to steal the ossis ark! I want that ark to be embezzled into the Randi house hold! I want the ark to be a symbol of your family's own prestige. Do you dare grant my wish, Grant?"
Grant's eyes was dim. The silver in it immediately sparked. He would not steal the ossis ark for his father's own legacy. He would steal the ossis ark for the safety of this universe.
Grant immediately ducked over and a black hoodie covered his face like an assassin. As he moved, the air around was boiling with Chakra particles, the very energy that humanity actually cultivated on.
Cultivation is actually a means to increase humanity's defense and it's absolute power. Meaning that there's a need for humans to become much stronger, and to do that they have to enter the divine rank. To enter the divine rank, you have to conform to divinity and create a divine soul that would align with the universe. After that, you can absorb chakras to complete each cycle that allows one to ascend the ranks.
These ranks are; Sentinels, Holy druids, Saints, Sovereigns, Ortusers, Primordial and Dukkhan.
Grant had recently stepped into the realm of a Saint and his strength was utterly devastating which means, it would not be a problem to steal the ossis ark and escape.
The chakras around him boiled and flowed into his divine soul. A partial skypit formed above him, ready to merit him an intense punishment if he go against the universe and absorbs more that he is to absorb.
The universal law.
After a while, the partial skypit dissipated and Grant vanished. While he had the idea of stealing the ossis ark, he also needed to be careful because the ossis ark can actually get offensive on it's own. It needed stalwart control and without that, it would be very Impossible to bring it back or even attack the people who held the ark.
A group of six moved gallantly with a six foot tall triangular ark, which had many bone protrusions. They held the handle of an ossis ark who's base glowed darkly with a tinted green.
Suddenly Grant appeared. With his hood covering his face, it was had to tell who he was. The six boys were startled and they retreated.
"Hand it over!" Grant threatened as his voice brought about a terrifying pressure and with a descent, the void was bent all the way backwards disturbing the universe.
The six boys retreated even more, their faces pale.
They were only Sentinels, and a Saint was enough for them to feel total despair. However when Grant moved forward, the ossis ark activated and a powerful force slammed upon him, space shattering around him.
Grant's pupils constricted and he moved to dodge the overlapping of space, but he was unable to dodge on time and ended up getting the full brunt of the power of space.
He spat out blood. The taste of blood reminded him of what the universe would face in the next couple of hours and his expression turned very serious.
"Hand it over and we would all be safe! I don't mean any harm."
One of the boys sneered. "Ptoi!" He spat. "We don't listen to thieves!"
The other five spat alongside, "ptoi!!"
"Ptoi,"
"Ptoi,"
and the moment they were done, the ossis ark responded along with their attitude towards Grant and attacked him.
At this moment, the universe seem to shrink rapidly that Grant felt as if it was the end of the world. Only a Primordial or a Dukkhan could have such destructive power.
The force of impact blasted him into the ground and a massive crater appeared while the cracks extended from one end to another, completely splitting the universe.
A powerful energy blasted forth from Grant, actually holding up the falling sky or void. He did not actually know what was falling, but it seem as if everything had shrunk down to the size of a small cage and he was like a dog within it.
The ossis ark's killing ability was boundless that someone like Grant was more of an ant in it's utterly destructive power, however Grant wasn't the enemy. He only needed a moment to reveal the truth to the bone ark and after that, he would be able to fight his way through to get the ark. However, just a moment is still enough to completely kill Grant. He would need to gamble again so that the ark wouldn't reach the chief executive order. That man had actually taken the ark and had released it to the enemy.
He did not want that to repeat itself.
Grant immediately pulled his pendant and unlocked it. The Master Path's smiling face was displayed in it. The truth of this pendant is that, it actually gives Grant a second ability to use the power of time.
The Dao of Time is actually different from just using miniature skills that has to do with time and space. The pendant allows him to use most of those mundane time skills for free. But when he had been dying the last time, he had actually summoned the Master Path and seeked for a second chance to save his universe, only that it was done in exchange for his own soul.
Whenever Grant remembers this, he couldn't help but sigh.
Immediately, the pendant shone with an otherworldly glow that caused the surrounding space to lock. The shrinking universe was suspended that it was actually surprising.
Grant moved out very quickly and approached the ossis ark with a blink.
As he approached, the danger from the ark increased from tenfold to a hundredfold and then a thousandfold.
It was suffocating that Grant began to think about not able to make it.
However, he succeeded. When he touched the ark's handle, his true intentions was passed into the ossis ark an the terrifying chill receded greatly that caused the six boys to shiver in shock.
They did not recover and Grant has vanished, leaving them in the void all by themselves.
