Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: The Dawn Before the Storm – Loguetown Arrival

The salty wind carried the scent of adventure as the Going Merry finally approached the famous Loguetown—the town where the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, had been executed. The city stood proudly on the horizon, its towering buildings, bustling docks, and crowded streets painting a picture of a town alive with history. For Luffy and his crew, this was their last stop before the Grand Line.

Luffy stood at the ship's prow, his straw hat casting a shadow over his determined eyes. "Alright, everyone, we're here. Do what you need to, but stay on guard. We've got a big journey ahead."

His crew nodded, each with their own objectives in mind.

Luffy had an unusual task ahead—one that none of his crewmates were aware of yet. He was planning to meet his father, the infamous Monkey D. Dragon. He didn't know what to expect, but deep down, he knew this meeting might give him insight into the world and its hidden conflicts. As he stepped onto the wooden docks, he took a deep breath and adjusted his hat. "Time to see what you're all about, old man."

Zoro was already stretching his arms, his mind set on replenishing his arsenal. His previous battles had cost him dearly, and now he needed new blades. He glanced at his single remaining sword and scowled. "I'm off to find replacements," he said, cracking his knuckles. "I won't settle for anything less than the best." He departed toward the weapons district, unaware that fate had already prepared two cursed swords for him.

Meanwhile, Nami took out a small notebook, flipping through the pages with a calculating look in her eyes. "Alright, listen up! We can't just go around wasting money, so I'm going to allocate an allowance for each of you. Spend wisely, or else you'll owe me with interest."

Usopp groaned. "Come on, Nami! We're pirates, not office workers."

"Pirates or not, money doesn't grow on trees!" Nami shot back. "Now, here's how it's going to work—Sanji, since you're shopping for food, you'll get the biggest portion. Zoro, you need new swords, so you get a fair amount too. Luffy, I know you'll just waste it on food, so don't even think about asking for more."

Luffy pouted. "Hey! That's unfair."

She continued, ignoring him. "Usopp, you do whatever weird thing you usually do, but don't expect me to fund your experiments."

Usopp sighed dramatically. "A sniper's gotta have his tools, you know…"

"And as for myself," Nami added smugly, "I'm keeping a little extra for emergency expenses. Pirates should always have a financial safety net."

Zoro rolled his eyes. "More like your personal shopping fund."

Sanji adjusted his tie, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Ah, Loguetown! A city full of culinary wonders! Time to find the best ingredients for our trip to the Grand Line."

As he walked off, he suddenly turned back, his expression softening as he looked at Nami. "Nami-chwan~! If you want anything sweet, just say the word. I'll make sure to get the finest desserts for you."

Nami waved him off. "Just make sure to get essentials first."

Sanji nodded and made his way toward the bustling market, ready to sample the finest foods Loguetown had to offer.

As the rest of the crew set off on their tasks, Usopp grinned to himself. "Alright, time for some upgrades. I need new materials, better tools, and maybe a little something extra for the trip ahead." He adjusted his goggles and strode confidently into town, looking for inspiration—and perhaps a new invention to impress his crewmates.

With each crewmember off on their own mission, the Straw Hats unknowingly set events in motion that would change the course of their journey forever. Loguetown was a place of history, a place where new legends would rise. And for Luffy, the storm that had been brewing in the shadows was about to make its presence known.
