I rolled on my bed feeling so happy that he proffered his likeness towards me but why did I turn him off? why didn't I wait for his explanation? chai Scarlett you're such an idiot.
The little conversation we had kept lingering on my head. I can admit that I like him as much as he likes me that's if he's serious.
I smiled oftentimes to the amazement of everyone unlike me that don't really care.
I prepared food for my siblings and parents on time before dashing out to work. On my way out I met my neighbor with his in-law and they offered me a lift. I didn't reject, I got into the car owner's sit and Mr Brown drove off. He kept looking at me at the rearview mirror and I caught him many times.
His in-law was looking so calm going through some documents.
I admired every bit of him but I can't let my guards down. I looked through the window humming on my mind. Though I looked out but my mind wasn't really there, it kept thinking about him, if I don't control myself I might loose it one day. The more I tried to avoid him is the more I'm so drawn to him. I'm trying my best to figure out what my mind is doing.
He dropped me off at my workplace and I once again became center of attention. My colleagues were looking obviously at our direction trying to see who was in the car, thanks goodness the glasses were tinted.
I went in giving them glare daggers. I don't know why they are so much concerned with things that had to do with me. Their jealousy is too much and I tried my best to overlooked their execs.
Its weekend already and everything has been set in place. My parents want to make it look extraordinary, they make provision for refreshments although my boss also promised to entertained people.
I'm so happy.
Finally I'm so going to be free. uuhhhh!!, I'm going to leave my desire life without thinking about work, work, work but am I sure? my mind is telling me favor awaits me.
Its 3pm and a lot of people had really turned up both the ones I invited and the ones I didn't I feel so honored that a lot of people turned up to grace my graduation. who am I?. My bestie came with some of his friends but he's really acting weird lately. I'm sure he thinks I'm seeing some old folks but since then I haven't explain to him, well I see no need.
I glanced around looking at the faces of people who came, I walked one to another giving them warm welcome. I got to where my neighbor was sitting with his wife and welcomed them, they placed their hands on my shoulders and prayed for me. hmmmmmm!
"I derived joy in seeing my apprentice excel perfectly. One person among my girls I can boast of and refer people to is Scarlett. She has this zeal of making things happen appropriately, I love how she's so diligent at work, her thinking humor is top notch, her hands are magical. God knows I love her."
Everyone applauded listening to the boss's speech. I didn't really paid attention to her right from the beginning of her speech as I was busy scrutinizing the people who turned up.
"Let's cheers to success, to excellent and to favor market." she added and I heard glasses clinging.
"One thing I like doing for my apprentices is to give them job opportunities so they can start up their lives. I was contemplating what to do for my Scarlett when I saw a job proposal from B.Stone scissors ✂️. I was like wow this is such a huge opportunity for her to get a more positive experience. Not only that, they offered an accomodation and I want to ask her openly, dear Scarlett would you like to accept this petty offer?
Shocked was written all over me and I was like who wouldn't accept the offer. I accepted without waiting, that has been my dream workplace and I can't believe there's no stress in me getting there. Oh my!!!! someone should pinch me let me wake up.
"who am I to say no?, yes! yes!! yes!!" I shouted aloud, I'm so proud of my self. I turned to my parents and I saw I'm proud of you smile on their faces.
Most of my colleagues who haven't been in good terms with me frowned upon knowing I would be working in a popular brand and I could tell what was really going on in their minds but I don't care.
After issuing of certificate, I went round appreciating people who turned out. This small girl is really blessed to have such crowd. My parents and relatives were busy entertaining people and my boss wasn't exceptional, she and her husband made sure to entertained the top personnel they invited.
I spotted Mr Brownstone and walked up to him, I have to be of good humor and show an appreciation.
"Thanks Mr Brownstone for coming, I'm so glad to have you around" I said smiling at him.
"Don't be too formal Scarlett, I prefer Brown" he said smiling back.
He really has a cute smile, see me having goosebumps. Ohh this guy can you just stop smiling you are making me go crazy. I feel like stealing his embrace, his eyes are so enchanting, his kissable lips are so wet. I robbed my eyes unconsciously without knowing he was saying something. I came back to my senses when I heard him said,
"Scarlett you are admiring me so much, do you want to kiss me?" I don't mind getting a kiss from you after all I have been longing for it for quite some time now."
I know he's teasing me which makes my cheeks flushed at pleasure for his compliment.
" I....I... I don't know what you're talking about Mr Brownstone" I stammered trying to defend myself.
He smiled gulped his wine before teasing back "dear Scarlett you owned my body, do whatever you wish to, I don't care."
He's so shameless, I rushed away from his sight before my heart aches from his teases.
