Ellie, Lila, Locke, and Lucas stood in the castle hall, watching Victor lead the men in black step by step, the tension as high as a drawn bowstring, ready to explode at a moment's notice. Ellie took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, she understood that panicking at this moment would only make the situation more unfavorable.
"Ellie, you're in charge of controlling the enemy's movements, we'll do the main attack." Lucas whispered, his voice carrying an undeniable composure. Ellie nodded slightly and focused her mind, her alien energy surging through her body in an attempt to capture the fluctuations in the black-clothed man's mind.
The corners of Victor's mouth curled into a cold smile, and with a wave of his hand, the men in black instantly dispersed, fanning out to surround them. "You guys think you can escape by hiding here? Too naive." His voice was cold and piercing, echoing in the empty hall.
Fighting instantly erupted as the men in black raised their weapons, a beam of energy shooting towards Ellie and the others. Lucas and Locke roared with rage, their figures were like electricity as they rushed directly towards the black-clothed men. Their speed and power caught the black-clothed men a bit off guard, and several black-clothed men who rushed ahead were instantly knocked out.
Laila, on the other hand, transformed into a black shadow, weaving in and out of the crowd of black-clothed men. Each of her strikes was accompanied by a scream, the speed and power of a vampire was displayed to the fullest at this moment. Ellie wasn't idle either, she managed to invade the minds of a few black-clothed men, causing their attacks to become chaotic, beams of light shot towards her own people, and for a time, the black-clothed camp was in a mess.
When Victor saw this, a trace of annoyance flashed in his eyes. He quickly made seals with both hands and recited words under his breath. Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently, and a spike broke out from the ground, stabbing towards Ellie and the others. Lucas and Locke reacted quickly, they used their bodies to protect Ellie and Laila, and the werewolf's hard fur and strong strength temporarily resisted the spikes' attacks.
"Victor, you vile bastard!" Laila shouted angrily, her eyes instantly turned blood red, and the black mist around her body grew thicker.
Ellie felt an unprecedented pressure, and she knew that Victor's strength was much more than that. She closed her eyes, trying to break through her limits and tap into the deeper levels of power of her powers. Just then, an aura flashed through her mind, and she realized that not only was she able to control the minds of others, she was also able to fuse her psychic ability with the power of her companions.
"Listen everyone, focus your mind and converge your power to me!" Ellie shouted. Lucas, Locke, and Lila looked at each other and without hesitation, followed Ellie's instructions and released their powers.
Ellie pushed her hands forward and a powerful wave of energy instantly erupted. This energy wave contained the strength of a werewolf, the speed of a vampire, and Ellie's psychic ability, and was incredibly powerful. The energy wave directly rushed towards Victor and his men, and the black-clothed men were sent flying out, crashing into the walls of the castle and letting out guttural screams.
Victor's face changed drastically, he hastily cast magic, forming a shield that barely resisted the energy wave. "Hmph, a little bit of skill, but that's not enough." He gritted his teeth.
Victor cast his magic again, and this time, a group of skeletal warriors came out from the ground. These skeletal warriors held weapons, their eyes were empty, and they charged towards Ellie and the others without fear. Lucas and Locke rushed forward and engaged in close combat with the skeleton warriors. Layla, on the other hand, kept releasing black flames in the air, trying to burn the skeleton warriors.
Ellie, on the other hand, continued to manipulate her powers, and she realized that the skeletal warriors seemed to be pulled by some kind of force in their actions. She focused her mind and tried to sever this connection. After some effort, she finally found the magical rune that was controlling the skeletal warriors, and without hesitation, she injected her psychic energy into it, and the rune instantly shattered.
The skeleton warriors that lost their control fell to the ground and turned into a pile of white bones. Victor's face became very ugly, he didn't expect Ellie's foreign energy to be so powerful that it was able to break his magic.
"It seems that I have to take action myself." A hint of viciousness flashed in Victor's eyes as a powerful dark force surged around his body. This power continued to coalesce, forming a huge dark vortex.
"Everyone be careful, this power is dangerous!" Ellie warned loudly. She concentrated all her spirit and tried to find the weakness of the dark vortex. Just then, she found a small point of light in the center of the dark vortex, which seemed to be the core of Victor's magic.
"I found his weak point! Lucas, Locke, you guys attract his attention, Laila, let's attack his core together!" Ellie quickly made a tactical arrangement.
Lucas and Locke rushed towards Victor once again, their attacks failed to cause substantial damage to Victor but managed to draw his attention. Laila, on the other hand, together with Ellie, gathered their power to the extreme and shot towards the core of the dark vortex.
Under the powerful attack, cracks began to appear in the dark vortex. Victor's face turned pale as he desperately tried to maintain his magic, but it was already a bit too much for him.
"It's now!" Ellie shouted as she unleashed all of her powers, creating a dazzling light. The light pierced right through the dark vortex and struck Victor's core.
With a miserable cry, Victor's magic instantly collapsed, and his body was knocked out by the powerful force, landing heavily on the ground. Seeing their leader fall, the men in black scattered and fled.
Ellie and the others collapsed to the ground in exhaustion as this fierce battle finally came to a temporary end. But they knew that this was just the beginning, the conspiracy of the mysterious organization was much more than that, and they, as soon as possible, had to find out the secret in the castle in order to truly stop this crisis. As the castle regained its calmness once again, Ellie looked at the dilapidated hall, and secretly vowed in her heart that no matter how many more hardships and dangers lay ahead, she would not back down, and would definitely guard the balance of this world.
