"Why do you ask?" I said looking at him. I went a bit closer and at that point our lips were almost on each other. I knew that what I was doing wasn't right... But I could not control myself. I thought he would push me away and move back but surprisedly he did no such thing. Then I started wondering "Does he want me to kiss him or does he also like me?"
I wanted to kiss him but I was scared if he didn't mean anything that I was thinking about. And if it was all made up in my head.
Then he moved his face and placed his lips on my ear and said
"You smell nice, what deodorant did you use?"
I was immediately shocked. Anyone would be shocked if they heard this type of question where there is a somewhat romantic air.
I looked at him and tried to cover my shocked expression.
"I don't have the luxury for deodorants. But if you said that I smelled nice .... Maybe it is my natural scent" I said.
I tried to make up something quickly and I was scared that Ben would not believe me.... Even though it was the truth. But surprisedly, Ben nodded his head and I let out a sigh of relief quietly.
I thought everything would be normal now and everything would go back to how it was before. That is no closeness, no almost kissing and definitely no romantic air anymore. As I kept thinking about it, the more sad u felt.
Then as usual I snapped out of my thoughts when Ben grabbed my hand and held it gently.
"Let's go, I still have to help you look for a very good job" he said and then we went back to the office where the girl that I think is his girlfriend was.
She saw us and went to hug Ben and oh my gosh, my heart hurts when I look at the scene. Ben then immediately removed her hands that was wrapped around his waist.
Then he said in a deep voice. "Um, Ella.... Wait.... Hold on..... We would do everything you want to do later..... Ok?"
The girl named Ella then nodded and replied "Ok, then I will be waiting for you in my room" "So what do you want?"
"This is Wendy" Ben said pointing at me.
"Hi" I said and she waved her hand.
"Hi Wendy, my name is Ella and this is my man... You probably know him since you came with him" She said while putting on a smirk on her face. Gosh, I felt like I should pounce on her and wipe that stupid smirk off her face.
"Yes, she already knows me. Cause she is my friend. So I brought her here to help her get a job and you will help me, right?" Ben said to Ella. Ella decided to help and we went through different jobs. She told me that I could start selling items that I got myself or I could start selling cooked food or many other things. We searched through different jobs but I haven't thought of what to choose.
