[Hey guys this is going to be the third chapter out of the four chapters that I promised I was going to write today to make up for the delay in uploading new chapters in the novel. I got comfortable and started to pray to God to allow me convince the farmers. Belle brought a plate from the kitchen and gave it to me. When I checked the plate, I saw that there was fruits in the plate. I thanked her and took a bite from one of the fruits. The fruit platter consists of apples, mangoes, pineapples and oranges. I love oranges the most.
As I was eating the fruits, I heard a sound and looked around then I found out that Belle was in the living room. I beckoned at her and gave her some of the fruits. We ate it together. Then I heard some voices coming from outside. So I dropped the fruit platter and went outside. When I got outside I saw Belle's father with some men behind him. I knew instantly that those men behind Belle's father were the farmers that he went to call.
Belle and her mother brought some chairs for us to seat. When we all sat down, Belle's father introduced them to me and I greeted them.
"Miss Wendy these are my fellow farmers and they are capable of handling anything. They are strong and hardworking. They can till any land as long as you pay them" Belle's father said. I looked at them and I could see that they were not too old that they could not work and I know that some of them have male children that helps them in their farms. So I knew that they were good but now is the time to choose the ones who are trustworthy.
"Good afternoon everyone, my name's Wendy and I need some farmers who would help me work on my farm" I said. I could hear murmurs and I knew that they all wanted to agree when I dropped a bombshell. "But whoever comes to work for me would bring all their family and stay in my house to work for me"
The farmers looked at me. And I knew that they probably never expected that I would say such a thing since I know that no one would ever request such a thing. They talked to their selves and some of them agreed while the rest rejected the offer. I was happy because it was only ten people who agreed but that doesn't mean that I would accept all of them. Like I said the last time I would only accept those who are trustworthy.
I told them to wait for a while. Then I beckoned at Belle's father and went inside. I could hear Belle's father telling the farmers to wait and then he came in.
"Sir I know that you are busy but I just want to know who are the ones you trust out of all the ten who agreed to work for me" I said in a calm voice. He looked at me and thought for a while before saying
"I have five people who I trust and I know that they would never betray you".
Then he told me who they are and I decided to ask if he could work for me too. Then he agreed. I was so happy. I just want to be with the cute little girl named Belle. So after talking to Belle's father, I went outside to choose the farmers who would follow me during the apocalypse.
