Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: The Final Break

The tension in the room was palpable, thick with the weight of the truth Seojin had just uncovered. Zhao Wei stood in front of her, his eyes cold and calculating, but beneath his calm exterior, there was a flicker of concern. Seojin could feel it—he was worried.

Worried because Seojin had discovered the truth. Worried because she was the key to everything they had planned, and now that she was free from their control, nothing was certain anymore.

Seojin stood still, her hand gripping her gun tightly. She had one shot at this—one final chance to stop everything. But the cost was high. Every moment of hesitation meant more lives lost, more of the world slipping into the hands of those who would destroy it.

"Do you really think you can defeat me, Seojin?" Zhao Wei's voice sliced through the silence, almost as if he was testing her resolve. "You're just a piece in a much bigger game. A tool. You've always been a tool."

The anger inside Seojin flared, her pulse quickening. "You've already lost, Zhao Wei," she said through clenched teeth. "You can control people, you can manipulate them—but you can never control me."

Zhao Wei's lips curled into a smirk. "You're wrong. The system is already in place. You'll never undo it. You'll never stop us."

Seojin took a deep breath, the weight of his words sinking in. The system. She had thought it was destroyed. She had thought the global compliance program was gone. But if Zhao Wei was right—and the alliance had rebuilt everything—then they were just getting started.

"I'm not just going to stop you," Seojin said, her voice gaining strength. "I'm going to end it."

Behind Seojin, Kade and Minji were already moving. They were positioned strategically, eyes trained on every exit, every shadow in the room. The tension was thick, but the sense of urgency was greater.

Zhao Wei's eyes narrowed. "You're out of time. The system will lock down again in a matter of minutes. Once it's back online, there will be no stopping us."

The words hit Seojin like a punch, but she didn't falter. No stopping them? No. She wasn't going to let that happen.

Her eyes flicked to the monitors on the wall—the same ones that had displayed her father's last project, the ones that connected the global network. Every piece of technology in this room was tied to Project Nocturne—the program her mother and father had been building to control the world.

She didn't need to hesitate anymore. It was now or never.

"I don't care about your system, Zhao Wei," Seojin said. "I'm going to destroy it—once and for all."

Seojin moved quickly, her hand reaching for the control panel near the far wall. Kade and Minji took positions, ready to cover her, but Zhao Wei wasn't standing idle. He stepped forward, his eyes cold.

"Don't think you can just walk in here and shut everything down, Seojin. You're not the only one who's capable of controlling the system."

With a flick of his hand, the screens shifted, and suddenly, the room was filled with real-time data, live feeds from across the world—governments, military forces, every major entity under the alliance's control. It was the full extent of their reach.

But Seojin didn't hesitate. Her fingers moved over the console, bypassing the security protocols one by one. She was so close.

Zhao Wei's voice grew louder, desperate. "You're playing right into my hands, Seojin! You think you can stop it? You think you can just erase all this?"

"No," Seojin whispered, almost to herself. "I'm not erasing it. I'm restarting it."

With a final press of a button, the screen blinked. The countdown clock appeared, ticking down to zero. The system was crashing again.

The lights flickered. The room hummed with the energy of the system struggling to stay alive, but Seojin could feel the control slipping away from Zhao Wei's grasp. The tension was so thick it was suffocating. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, but there was no turning back now.

Zhao Wei's face twisted into an expression of fury. "You think you've won? This is just the beginning!"

But Seojin wasn't listening anymore. She had already taken her shot. Now, all she had to do was finish it.

Suddenly, a loud explosion shook the room, the force knocking them off their feet. The room went black.

Seojin's heart stopped for a second, her ears ringing with the blast. When the lights came back on, the monitors were blank. The connection to the global system had been severed.

But as Seojin rose, breathing heavily, she realized something else.

There was another presence in the room.

A dark figure stepped out of the shadows. It was a man—tall, imposing, his face hidden behind a mask. He moved with precise purpose, his eyes locked onto Seojin.

Seojin froze. Her fingers twitched near her gun.

"Who are you?" she demanded.

The figure smiled, though his expression was hidden. "I've been waiting for this moment. I've been watching you—all of you."

Minji's hand went to her weapon. "Who sent you?"

The man stepped forward, his voice low and filled with authority. "I represent a far more dangerous force than you could ever imagine. And your actions today?" His voice turned cold. "They've only just begun."

Seojin's mind spun. More enemies?

Zhao Wei seemed to notice the figure now, his eyes widening in realization. "No... you—you're—!"

"Too late." The figure's words cut through the room, as if sealing their fate. "You've played your part, Zhao Wei. But your usefulness is over."

Zhao Wei's anger flared, but before he could react, the figure's hand moved swiftly, and Zhao Wei collapsed to the floor, unconscious.

The man turned back to Seojin, his eyes calculating. "Now, the real battle begins."
