Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: The War Begins

Seojin's breath was steady, but her mind was a storm.

Her father's ultimatum still rang in her ears.

"Help us complete the compliance protocol, and I will let your mother go."

It was a lie.

A twisted game to manipulate her. And he thought she would break.

But he had underestimated her for the last time.

She glanced at the screen, where her mother sat motionless in that cold, sterile room, and something inside her snapped.

Seojin lifted her gaze to meet her father's eyes. She had already made her decision.

And it would be the Council's undoing.

Across the city, Minji gritted her teeth as she and Kade loaded up their stolen SUV with weapons and explosives.

They had one shot at this.

Minji tightened the strap of her tactical vest. "We go in loud."

Kade let out a breath. "Suicidal, but I like it."

She glanced at him. "Seojin would do the same for us."

Kade smirked. "No doubt."

They shared a silent nod. Then—they drove straight into the storm.

The alarms blared before her father could react.

Seojin's fingers twitched as the control panel on the desk flashed red.

Emergency Override Activated.

Her father's expression darkened. "What have you done?"

Seojin's lips curled. "I planned ahead."

BOOM.

The first explosion rocked the facility.

Her father's guards rushed forward, but Seojin was already moving. She grabbed a metal pen from the table, flipping it in her hand before slamming it into the guard's throat.

He choked, collapsing.

She spun, grabbing his gun just in time to fire at the others.

Her father barely flinched as chaos erupted. Instead, he smirked. "You think this will end the Council?"

Seojin exhaled, adrenaline surging through her. "No."

She aimed the gun directly at him.

"But it's a damn good start."

Minji and Kade stormed the entrance, bullets flying.

The Council's forces pushed back, but they weren't ready for an all-out assault.

Minji ducked behind a column, reloading. "Seojin better still be alive."

Kade fired a shot, dropping another guard. "She's too stubborn to die."

Minji smirked. "True."

But they had no idea if they would reach her in time.

Seojin's father dodged her shot at the last second, disappearing behind a reinforced door.

Seojin cursed, racing forward—but she wasn't alone.

More guards flooded in.

She took cover, gripping her weapon. She had to reach her mother.

The hallway was collapsing into chaos, smoke filling the air.

Then, in the distance—

A familiar voice.

"SEOKJIN!"

Her heart stopped.

She turned just in time to see Minji and Kade barreling through the wreckage.

Relief crashed over her.

She wasn't alone.

This wasn't just her war anymore.

It was theirs.

And they were going to win.
