Everyone was speechless and in shock, Domer looked at Draco and then looked at Harlem and yelled "NO! IT CAN'T BE!" Domer just couldn't believe that Draco could have done such thing. Everybody looks at Draco and he looks at everyone in fear then he pleads everyone to listen to him as he tries to explain his innocence, but this couldn't convince Harlem, he was sure that Draco sent one of the two assassins and was behind the plan to kill Denver. Harlem pointed at Draco and tells his men to arrest him, but Draco resists, hits and tries to run away from the Nation Police.
All of this happening in the most respected place in the entire nation, Draco was cornered by officers of the National Police and was pinned down on the floor. Domer yells once again at Harlem to rethink his decision which seemed like a warning. Harlem asked Domer to calm down and that he will explain everything that Draco did and prove that Draco is the main culprit. National Police had handcuffed Draco, they picked him up and walked him out of the conference room, Harlem requested everyone to take their seats again and to continue the discussions. Harlem asked everyone to listen to his explanation of why he thinks that Draco was the teal culprit.
He started by stating that Draco was actually the prime suspect from the beginning and that his crime was only proved by just one mistake, the mistake was that he wanted to give his father a painless death. Everyone was shocked by hearing the statement, the statement sounded abusurd and logical at the same time. Abusurd because why would Draco try to kill his own father? And logical because he wanted to give his father a painless death which shows that he cared for his father but if he cared so much the why did he planned the assassination in the first place? So many questions were drooling over the heads of everyone present in the conference and only one person to answer that...
Harlem Joras.
Domer: You better explain yourself Director!
Harlem: Have some patience I'm going to explain everything...
Domer: we're waiting.
Harlem: During the investigation I found that both the assassins weren't related but coincidentally both of them chose to plan the attack on the same time. Why is that? Because that's the only time when Mr. President were vulnerable and without security covering for him.
The explanation so far was convincing but still it didn't answer "why Draco was arrested?"
Harlem: But the question arises, how did the assassins knew that Mr. President was without security that time? It's because someone from the Scorpions was giving information to the assassins and to trigger the attack the informant had to give the assassin a signal such as breaking a stick or throwing a stone and I was told by the person who was riding the Carriage of Mr. President that Draco was throwing stones at a nearby nest just before the attack happened.
Brain Trainor: If so? That doesn't prove that Draco is the killer right?
Harlem: Yes that is right but by investigating further I came to know that one attacker only used a plain arrow that was meant to pierce the heart of Mr. President and kill him but the other arrow that was shot had poison in it and was meant to paralyze Mr. President and kill him without any pain. The poison that was used to kill Mr. President is only found in the West Zone in the entire nation but since it's pretty rare, Draco thought that nobody will be able to find out that poison and he was right to think so until I discovered that the flowers that produce this poison only blossomed in the summers and the last stock was already stocked by Draco since Draco was the stock handle for the Pharmaceutical factory of the Scorpions.
Haroom Beram: but it still doesn't prove that it could be Draco, it could also be Domer or the right hand of Domer since all these three have access to their pharmacy.
Domer was surprised to hear how much Haroom knew about the positions of power inside the Scorpions Cult.
Harlem: Your point is right but what led me to suspect Draco even more is that despite Draco already had ordered the stocks of the flower of poison for the enitre quarter he ordered for more stock which was very suspicious. But the final nail in the coffin was the identity of the assassins that we found, the assassin was not from Takht but from a neighbouring land and it's not easy for anyone to enter Takht within the permission of any of the 5 top positioned leaders in each of the Zones and guess who passed the entrance of this assassin to enter into Takht and West Zone?
Domer: Draco...
Harlem nods and continue speaking.
Harlem: when Domer and Draco chased the assassins, Domer brought the assassin with him while Draco killed the assassin in fear that he will spill out the plan of Draco. When Draco came to know about the second assassin he wanted to know who sent him so that he could blame all of it on him. Now only Draco can answer what was the motive behind it and why did what he did. As for the second assassin, he was sent by the Ghors and the person who was helping him was from The Scorpions Cult. I KNOW WHO YOU ARE, SO SURRENDER BEFORE WE KILL YOU!
A crew member from the Scorpions tables got up with a knife and tried to escape. Dagger smirked and whispered "you fool Joras was bluffing". Harlem looked at the man getting caught by the National Police officers and the Scorpions members as he whispered "Bingo".
Domer was crushed in his heart, years of his trust broken in seconds. His brother and his member betrayed him and the scorpions. He was processing everything and thinking what to do next. All of this happening while the National News papers were noting down every possible action in the conference hall, all of it will be in the public within 2-3 days.
Meanwhile Harlem was wrapping up his speech.
Harlem: I'd wrap up my speech with this final statement. As Mr. Denver is still alive, I'll declare the elections a draw and reposition Mr. Denver the president of Takht UNLESS he doesn't want it. Draco will be taken under the custody of National Police and will be investigated further, I declare the 2nd Session of 1840 complete.
None of the Cults were happy with the decision but they knew it was going to happen. The Aves decided to leave for the North Zone right after the Conference itself. The Sharks and Slithers decided to leave for their respective zones on 5th February. Domer wanted to have a chat with Harlem once before he leave for West Zone. Domer walked to Harlem and requested Harlem to let him meet Draco once before arresting him. Harlem accepts his request and let's Domer meet Draco probably the last time. Harlem asks his men to bring Draco to Domer, Domer goes near Draco he looks in his eyes, he raises his hands and gives a tight slap to Draco. The sound so loud that it could be heard throughout the conference hall. Domer asks Draco why he did it to which Draco replied "I just wanted to be the president and beat you to be the best son." This broke Domer, he sat down in disbelief and Harlem ordered his men to take Draco away. Draco was taken out along with another member of the Scorpions, both were kept in a carriage and were sent to central prison. The Central prison is in the outskirts of Central Zone and near the border or Central Zone and East Zone, all the Cults were planning to leave soom after. The carriage was guarded by 2 horse riders from the front and 2 horse riders from the back, there were 2 horse riders guarding from the side, all of them weilding a shield in one of their hands, a spear in their other hand and a sword in their sheath. The convoy went ahead with on of the officers in charge. Everyone was banned from following the convoy and that the two men got arrested were now National Police's responsibility.
Domer and his men left the Conference hall to rush to the Cult house, rest of the clans did the same and from there on all the clans were supposed to go to their respective zones.
The convoy carrying Draco was running as fast as they can, they stopped for nothing and run at full speed. They crossed the steep woods and were finally in open grounds, The convoy had travelled far from the conference hall had almost crossed it's capital by 11:00 PM in the night, the had travelled for 6 hours non stop and decided to rest for a while in the Police Shack in the sight. The convoy stopped there and the riders got up from their horses, as soon as they got down they got attacked by arrows and few men! The men attacked to kill the officers and not Draco. They killed all the officers one by one and kept chanting
"VICTORY TO GHORS!"
