2. People in Power.

This is a story about those powerful people who have been fighting wars and battles, who have been protecting their people from the evil of the powerful people. It's a story about the Cults that took over a nation and dethroned the Dictator. This is a story about the Cults ruling over a country called 'Takht'.

Takht was previously ruled by an evil dictator for 20 years who was later defeated, dethroned and executed by groups of Vigilantes that emerged from various regions of Takht, formed an alliance and took over the Dictator.

After the Independence of Takht, these Cults took over the nation and formed their own soft government with 5 Cults ruling over 5 regions of the nation and the Field Force working along side them to form peace in the country. The 5 Cults that reigned over Takht were.

1 - The Scorpions 🦂

3 - The Slithers 🐍

4 - The Sharks 🦈

5 - The Aves 🪶

The Leader of the first ever Cult that formed - 'Scorpions' was made the President and Takht was propering and there was balance in the powers of Cults and The Police Force (Also known as National Force) for 35 years until.... the day came when one incident triggered a chain reaction that shook the power balance of Takht for the first time since Independence, for the first time in 40 years Takht was on the verge of a Civil War and the nation was heading towards the 'Cult Wars'.

23 January, 1840.

Denver Mahato is heading to the sessional Cult Conference in the capital city 'Taj' where all the Cult Leaders will meet and discuss about the Takht's future.

(Cult Facts - Denver Mahato, 64, is the leader of Scorpions, and the President of Takht since 1800 when the previous dictator was dethroned)

Denver is headed with his Cult Crew and his 2 sons Domer and Draco. There is silence amongst the men, Denver is reading the details of the discussions to be held in the Conference. Domer and Draco discuss within themselves about the Conference. Their convoy had horses and Carriages filled with the Cult Crew and National Force for protection and maintaining peace.

Scorpions reach the Conference hall which is a parliamentary building containing 300 seats and a speaker seat at the end of the room. The Speaket of the conference is always the head of National Force and this time a new head was assigned the position. DOP Harlem Joras. Rest of the Cults kept coming in small intervals, the Leaders of each Cult took their front positions with 2 their 2 main men with them.

Behind each front seat there were 50 seats for Cult Crew. Everyone settled in their seats, DOP came to his seat and alerted "Conference Winter Session Commence".

Denver Mahato: Honourable Speaker, Leaders of the cult and Cult Members, as a tradition of the conference, I the 1st President of Independent Takht will be starting the conference with the achievements and failures of our nation since past session.

Denver acknowledges the achievements and regrets the failures of the current government but it was more of a criticism to other Cults as if he was trying to make them feel the power of Scorpions. Scorpions being the most powerful cults had a soft power of the country but only Cult to rival them were the Slithers.

The leader of Slithers was Jon Moraca a man in his 50s who once worked with Denver. He worked with Denver in the first ever Cult that was made and helped Takht dethrone the Dictator, but Denver being the people's favourite leader and then later getting elected for the Presidency let Jon to abandon the Cult and start his own Cult called the Slithers.

The Slithers' money mostly comes from mining and weaponry business, the Slithers' highly relied on the weaponry business but during the times of peace the weaponry business becomes stale and hence to boost the mining business they bought slaves from poor villages of East Region. The Scorpions were against it, not just because slavery is wrong but also because this might make Slithers a lot of money which can be a problem later for Scorpions.

There were 17 polls in the conference but only 2 were decisive rest all were tied. Since no Cult wants the balance to trip, they don't interfere in each other's businesses. Despite Scorpions being the main Cult there, they have not much influence over the nation as a whole.

(Cult Fact - Each Cults earn money by their prime businesses spread across the nation and they have their own regions that they govern independently. The Scorpions reign over the West Region, Slithers over East, Aves over North, Sharks in the South and Spiders in the Central.)

The Conference ends and all the Cults leave to reach their regions. Jon leaves the conference with an angry look on his face and a revengeful idea in his head, the reason for his anger was the decision to stop slavery and purchase of human life. These were the 2 decisive polls that went against Slithers and were the only 2 decisive polls out of 17, the anger from Slithers was obvious. The conference seemed very good on the surface but deep down all the Cults were filled with all kinds of emotions. The heat between Scorpions and Slithers were visible to other Cults and this was the perfect time for them to gain more power.

As the cracks became apparent on the conference day, all the Cults began scheming and planning. The Sharks started the journey to their region as quickly as possible, the Aves decided to leave in the morning and the Slithers and Scorpions left eventually after some time.

Molvok Dagger - ...that chair is nobody's and the chair has never been a friend to anyone and he can't just pass down the Presidency to anyone, Cult Founders knew this might happen in the future so they made a rule that "No President shall pass it's position and power to it's heir or family, any such passing of will can't be accepted as legal election of President", did u forget your learnings Fred?

Fredrich: No my lord, it's just that I don't trust Denver Mahato, he can change the rules he resides in power now.

Molvok: don't you worry, nothing of such will happen until Jon is alive, Slithers are keeping the Scorpions in line and Sharks should keep good relations with them. Because I'm having a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen...

On the West Region the Scorpions have entered their territory and decide to rest their horses and wait a little, Denver comes out of the Carriage to take fresh air's breath and stretch. He leans to his feet and goes back he stretches his hands above his head then suddenly a whip of an arrow pierces Denver's chest, Denver still stands tall and runs for the carriage while pointing in a direction and yelling "THERE! THERE!" another arrow pierces right through his back from the opposite side, Denver rushes inside the carriage and closes it while some crew members run to find the culprits. Domer and Draco rush in both the directions from where the arrows were shot with 10 men with each of them, Denver is rushed to a nearby hospital quickly and the messages for an urgent Cult meeting is sent to all the Cults using the messenger pegions. Denver lying in the carriage tired, he removes the arrows from his body then touches the tip of the arrows and smells them, "poison.." he exclaims, he starts to fade while the Convoy heads to the hospital.
