Kai leapt off the ruined skyscraper, landing amidst the blood-soaked battlefield below.
The ground cracked beneath his feet.
A graveyard of monsters lay before him—bodies torn, burned, and dismembered.
Kai raised his right hand.
A dark, ethereal glow surrounded his fingers.
Then—
[Skill Activated: Soul Binder]
A system window flashed.
[Class Change: ??? → Dark Soul Binder]
Class Acquired: Dark Soul Binder
Class Effect: Absorb defeated enemies' souls to increase power and abilities.
The shattered corpses trembled.
From each lifeless body, a blue-white wisp of energy emerged—souls, torn free from their earthly remains.
One by one, they soared toward Kai—hundreds of them.
A torrent of souls rushed into him.
The air vibrated with a strange hum as their power became his own.
His mana surged.
His mind expanded—memories of the fallen creatures flickered through his consciousness, their instincts, their experiences.
The monsters he'd slain—now a part of him.
Kai smirked.
He clenched his fist, feeling his new strength coursing through his veins.
Kai turned toward the rubble of a collapsed building.
He raised his left hand.
The earth trembled.
[Skill Activated: Earth Creation (Lv 8)]
Unlike before—where his golems were only twice his size—
This time, the entire ruined structure shifted.
The concrete and steel debris rumbled and twisted.
Then—
A massive colossus took shape.
A golem, ten times his size, its stone body reinforced with steel.
Its eyes flickered lifelessly—waiting.
But Kai wasn't done.
He activated Soul Binder once more.
A wave of absorbed monster souls poured into the golem.
Its empty eyes flashed blue.
Its massive hands twitched, fingers flexing.
It took a step forward—its weight causing a minor earthquake.
Kai grinned.
He had just created a titan.
From the shadows behind him, a voice whispered—
"Whoa…"
Kai's instincts flared.
He turned sharply—ready to attack.
Yet—
No system warning appeared.
She wasn't hostile.
Kai narrowed his eyes, keeping his guard up.
A young woman stepped forward.
Her black hair tied in a ponytail, sharp brown eyes filled with curiosity.
She wore a light combat suit, fitted with belts and pouches, her posture relaxed yet confident.
She raised a hand toward him.
"Hey! I'm Yumi. Yumi Shimizu. And you?"
Kai didn't immediately respond.
Something about her accent—not Korean.
Maybe Japanese?
She noticed his hesitation.
Then, switching languages, she repeated—"What's your name?"
Kai sighed.
"Kai. Kai Jin."
Yumi grinned.
"Oho—what a protagonist-sounding name."
Kai smirked.
She was definitely the talkative type.
Then—
Yumi raised a finger toward him, pointing dramatically.
"I want you—"
Kai raised an eyebrow.
"—to join my dream guild team!"
Kai and his giant golem tilted their heads in sync.
"…Pardon?"
Yumi clapped her hands together excitedly.
She started rambling—
About her dream of creating a legendary guild.
About becoming famous.
About being praised as heroes.
Kai simply sighed and turned to leave.
"Hey! I'm not done yet!"
She grabbed his arm.
And so—
For the next hour, Kai and his massive golem stood there, listening to her endless rambling.
Finally, she asked again—
"Will you join my dream?"
Kai deadpanned.
"No."
"Why.."Yumi ask her face question.
Kai replied.
"First, your dream or what this Legendary guild is stupid thing i ever heard.Second being famous?,girl we on calamity the people dead or those who alive maybe they rather die from join your weird dream.Lastly, please woke up to reality this such thing just a waste"
Yumi froze.
Then—
Her eyes watered.
Her lower lip trembled.
A single tear rolled down her cheek.
The golem behind Kai raised its massive stone finger, tapping Kai on the shoulder.
Its glowing eyes seemed… disapproving.
Kai turned toward it, annoyed.
"You too?"
The golem nodded.
Kai sighed, rubbing his temples.
"Ugh… fine. I'll think about it. Maybe."
Yumi immediately stopped crying.
Her face lit up with a smirk.
"Haha! Knew it..You fell for it!"
She thrust a contract in front of him.
"Sign here!"
Kai groaned.
"Damn drama girl…"
Kai reluctantly signed.
And with that—
He became the first member of Yumi's so-called "Dream Guild."
Kai paused.
Then—
A question struck him.
"…Wait. How many members do you have?"
Yumi grinned proudly.
"Just you!"
Silence.
Kai blinked.
"So…"
"You just.created this guild."
"Yep!"
"Then immediately asked me to join—"
"Exactly!"
"And now I'm the only member?"
Yumi nodded.
Kai closed his eyes.
Took a deep breath.
"…This is stupid."
Yumi shrugged.
"Well, it's a long road ahead, so be patient!"
Kai ran a hand down his face.
"…Forget it. Let's go."
Yumi beamed.
"So—where to, my new guild member?"
Kai smirked.
"To grow stronger."
Then,
Kai and Yumi sat on the massive golem's shoulder as it stomped forward, shaking the ground like an earthquake on steroids.
Yumi groaned, hanging onto the golem's head for dear life.
"Hey... how much longer? You're so strong, just run or something!"
Kai sighed. Hard.
"If you ask that one more time, I swear I'll throw you into the sky myself."
Yumi pouted. "Hmph! That's no way to talk to your Guild Master!"
Kai rolled his eyes. "Your guild has one member. Me. Against my will."
"Correction! A very prestigious, one-man-only, world-famous future guild!" Yumi grinned.
Kai facepalmed. "I swear, if dreams could kill, yours would've ended civilization."
Before Yumi could fire back, the golem stopped.
Yumi, unprepared, rolled off its shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "W-Whoa—HEY!"
She sat up, rubbing her head. "Ugh… What now? Are we there?"
She turned to Kai, expecting an answer. But he was frozen in place, staring ahead.
"Hey… what are you looking at?" She poked his arm.
Kai didn't react. Instead, he grabbed her head and tilted it up.
"OW, OW—HEY, GENTLE! I NEED THIS HEAD TO LOOK CUTE!"
Then she saw it.
Massive rocks, floating mid-air. Buildings, suspended in the sky as if gravity just said, "Yeah, I quit." The entire area defied logic, with debris slowly drifting upward toward the heavens.
Yumi's jaw dropped. "…Woah."
Kai stepped forward onto one of the floating rocks without hesitation.
Yumi… did not.
Instead, she stared at the rock suspiciously.
"It's fake, right? Just an illusion? If I step on it, I'll—"
Kai sighed. "Golem."
The golem nodded. Then it flicked Yumi forward.
"HEEEEEY—!!!"
She landed perfectly on the rock. Eyes shut. Body frozen. Not breathing.
A moment passed.
She peeked one eye open.
She was not dead.
She broke into tears.
"I THOUGHT I DIED. I SAW THE LIGHT."
Behind her, Kai was struggling to hold back his laughter.
Then he lost it. He burst out laughing.
Yumi turned red. "HEY, DON'T LAUGH AT ME—I'M JUST A SMALL, DEFENSELESS GIRL!"
Kai kept laughing. The golem's shoulders shook, as if it, too, was trying not to laugh.
Yumi puffed up her cheeks, then cracked.
She laughed too.
After a good minute of them recovering, Yumi wiped a tear. "Okay, okay… so what's next, Grandmaster?"
Kai pointed toward the sky. "We climb."
Yumi dusted off her clothes, stretched, and cracked her knuckles.
Then she took a deep breath.
"Alright then… LET'S FLY TO THE SKYYYY!!!"
