"The emperor suspects him to be a spy of dragon clan."
"Are we going to investigate him?"
"His majesty haven't passed any edict about him yet. I think he might be executed."
"Let's just stay at guard."
Voice of two young males, discussing about his fate, was audible from a distance. Their voice sounds like hissing of snake.
Darius was lying flat on his stomach. The conversation between the youth, bring him back to the reality.
"Ahhhh" he gasped, keeping his voice to whisper, as he tried to move his body. His whole body was burning with pain.
"Where am I?" he thought, keeping the silence. He looked at the black and grey stone walls, with the carving of serpents.
"How I reached this place? What is this place anyway? Who am I? What is my name?"
He was feeling the intense soreness in his muscles, but can't remember anything how he ended up here.
Trying to move himself, he felt something beneath his stomach. "what is this?" his hands reached the object. Something of hard leather cover felt in his hands. As he dragged it out, he saw it was a book, covered with Black leather, with a geometric pattern carved on the top.
Watching the geometric pattern, flashes of memories rushed through his eyes.
"I am Darius, a local citizen, from a noble family."
"but wasn't I suppose to be at school? "
"No! I was supposed to be in my room."
Darius had been a cute and bubbly sixteen year old nerd of his highschool. As much as teacher have admired him, he was a common target of being bullied by other students.
"AHH" his head hurts. Another flash appeared in his eyes.
"Oh yes.. this dairy, I was exploring it. Was it some kind of portal?" "how come any such magical artifacts actually exist and ends up in a local antique shop."
Darius remembers that he went to visit an antique shop, to find something historical. His nerd mind will always lead him to find such things and then research on them. He found this ancient dairy and bought it, thinking that it might belong to someone from the past, and have something written which enlightens his knowledge further. But when he opens the dairy, it was empty. Not a single page had any single mark of ink on it. Only the top and back cover were carved with mandala geometrical pattern. As he tried to reach his laptop to search for the pattern, he got his finger cut by the edge of the dairy cover. A few drops of his blood drops on the page which was open. Instantly a silver and purple light flashed from the book, right into his eyes. The very next moment he found himself sitting on the purple grass. Among the luminescent woods of red and purple colour. It was dark in the night with two moons shining in the sky, one half crescent, the other was a new moon.
"What is this place?" He got dazzled watching this unknown land of mystic.
"Am I dreaming" he tried to touch the grass blades. It feels as much real as his own flesh and breath.
"It feels real. If it's really some other land, I should find a way to go back, and visit here later with preparation to discover."
As soon as he came back to sense, he grabbed his dairy back, which was lying beside him.
"If this dairy had brought me, it should be able to take me back" He shuffled through the pages to find his way back.
"What..?? What is this.?" His voice breaking as he again finds all the pages empty. "but how even that happened? There must be some way."
While he was completely invested in the dairy. His emotions raging inside his chest, for being unable to figure out, how this dairy works.
"BANG!" something really big, hit him at his waist, throwing him at a distance. His back hit the trunk of a tree and he fall on the ground.
"Intruder..! You think you can easily get your way into the serpents territory?"
He heard a loud, angry, but hollow voice. When his gaze followed the voice, and he went dumbstruck. Two giant serpents, at least thirty feet long. There heads similar to cobra with an eagle beak in the place of mouth. Their skin having beautiful colourful pattern. Their tail coiling on the ground.
"I... I.,," he tried to speak but his muscles didn't responded. His jaws tightened. The tail of one of the serpent reached him and coiled around him. He can feel his body squeezing. His breath breaks, nearly exhausted he felt his ribs about to be crushed any moment. He knew he was at his demise.
But he woke up. Where is it this time he don't know, but one thing for sure, the serpents didn't killed him.
"intruder, in serpents territory. Yes! That's what that serpent said. Which means they didn't realise I am from another world. Does humans also lives here?"
With his aching body, he tried to sit, thinking about the past he remembers now. He started observing his surroundings. The place looks like a cell in some underground dungeon. There were pillars on the walls with carved serpents on them. He stood up and walked through the place, feeling the gritty walls. From a distance found the exit of the cell, covered with huge iron rods and guarded by two serpents. He observed them from a distance.
Another serpent arrived.
"You both should join the festival of cazador. It will help to elevate your spiritual cultivation"
"we have this intruder to guard."
"i will put a captivating spell. As you say his cultivation is low, he won't be able to escape"
The serpent blows air from his mouth and transparent bubble type sheet appeared in front of the iron rods and then vanished in thin air.
"it done" he left informing the guards.
"The festival of cazador is special, and only happens once a year"
"we should really go, if we want to increase our powers"
"When serpiente constellation takes over the cazador constellation, it signifies the strength and gain of serpent over their foes."
"This time of year had always helped many of our elders in increasing their cultivation. If we succeeded to strengthen ourselves, we will also be considered the established clans man and will be able to enhance our form."
"we should really hurry, so we don't miss it."
The two guards discussed together, and left the place slithering the ground.
"So it's a great festival for them, it's a good time. No one will be coming any soon. I should hurry to find out how to get my self back"
He went back to the back of the cell, and looked for his dairy. He picked up his dairy. Observed it from every angle.
"I need to think harder. What exactly happened that this dairy brought me here?"
He asked himself, smacking the dairy on his forehead. He suddenly found the mark of dry blood on the front cover.
"Oh mine! It was my blood that dropped on the page. Does this works with the blood offering?"
