Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – Be Sure To Pave The Way!

Yoichiro Furuta.

Dr. Hubungkun had a brilliant mind.

Even though he couldn't awaken as a hunter, his genius allowed him to secure a position in a company specializing in hunter weapon development.

Through his tireless work, Dr. Hubungkun achieved extraordinary results, earning recognition and standing out among his peers.

However, this very success bred resentment. Many were envious of his brilliance, and some despised him outright.

Among those was Rachel Riccoli, who went so far as to fabricate allegations against him, accusing him of sexual harassment and having him dismissed from the company.

Dr. Hubungkun's appearance only made him an easier target for ridicule.

His thick glasses and unkempt hair gave him an eccentric look, worsened by stress-induced hair loss and his obsession with research.

He was the epitome of the misunderstood genius, unappreciated and mocked despite his unparalleled intellect.

The allegations—though entirely baseless—were enough to destroy him.

The company didn't even bother investigating Rachel Riccoli's claims before firing him.

This left Dr. Hubungkun drowning in anger and bitterness.

The betrayal by his colleagues and the world's unfairness fueled his desire for revenge.

Even though he had never been a man of violence, the frustration built up until it overflowed.

A month after being dismissed, Dr. Hubungkun showed up at the company, armed with an invention of his own making—a weapon born from his despair and thirst for vengeance. His primary target? Rachel Riccoli.

It was during this moment of retribution that the final boss noticed him and recruited him into the Strangers.

In the original game, Dr. Hubungkun narrated this backstory with pride, though the specific details of his revenge against Rachel Riccoli were left ambiguous.

The mature rating of the game implied the event was extreme, but nothing explicit was shown.

Still, the fans had plenty to say:

"Isn't there a comic or something about Dr. Hubungkun's revenge story?"

"Dr. Hubungkun vs. Rachel Riccoli. Can someone explain what he did? CG included!"

"His appearance doesn't match his vibe. Someone should make him handsome!"

"↑ That might be impossible, though…"

Despite the debates and curiosity, Dr. Hubungkun remained a fan-favorite character for his blend of genius and moral ambiguity.

---

Knowing what was to come, I had already instructed my people to monitor Dr. Hubungkun's situation closely.

When the news of his dismissal reached me, I decided it was the perfect time to act.

That's how I found myself standing before the disheveled figure of Dr. Hubungkun in an alley.

He sat slumped against a wall, his face pale and trembling, vomiting from what seemed like both stress and alcohol.

In a few days, he would reach his breaking point and begin crafting his infamous weapon of revenge. But I wasn't about to let things escalate that far.

"Hello, Dr. Hubungkun... Ahem, I mean, Mr. Yoichiro Furuta."

Seeing him in real life felt surreal. It took every ounce of self-control not to blurt out his nickname from the game.

"Ugh... Who... Who are you?"

His dark-circled eyes flicked toward me, the bitterness and exhaustion clear in his gaze.

His lab coat, now stained and crumpled, hung on him like a ghost of his former life.

The sight was almost pitiful.

"Go away, kid... I'm not in the mood for company," he muttered, wiping his mouth after another round of nausea. At least he didn't have the energy to lash out physically.

"It's truly unfortunate, isn't it?" I began, keeping my tone calm but sympathetic. "A genius like you, brought down by lies and slander."

"...What?"

His body stiffened. Slowly, he turned his head toward me, suspicion and anger mixing in his gaze.

"What did you say? Lies? Slander? What do you know about it?"

"I know the truth," I replied evenly. "You were framed, weren't you? Rachel Riccoli fabricated those accusations, and the company discarded you without even bothering to investigate. It's a disgraceful injustice."

Dr. Hubungkun's hands clenched into fists. For a moment, he looked like he might break down entirely.

"Who... Who are you?" he croaked.

"Allow me to introduce myself," I said, extending a hand. "My name is Rouvelt Eldra."

His eyes widened in recognition.

"Rouvelt... Eldra? The heir to the Eldra family? The golden prodigy of high society?"

"Yes, that's me," I confirmed, a slight smile on my face. "And Mr. Furuta, I've come here with a proposition for you."

"A... proposition?"

"I want to recruit you," I said simply.

The disbelief on his face was almost comical. He blinked at me, struggling to process my words.

"Recruit... me? For Eldra?"

"Yes. A man of your brilliance deserves far more than what that company could offer. And more importantly... I want to help you get your revenge."

"Revenge?" His voice trembled.

"Yes. Revenge on Rachel Riccoli, who destroyed your reputation, and on the company that abandoned you."

His entire body seemed to shake as he absorbed my words.

"You... You think I'm talented?"

"Of course," I said sincerely. "You're a remarkable individual, Mr. Furuta. Your work has already proven that. You've been underestimated for too long, but I see your true worth."

Tears began to well in his eyes. The years of ridicule and rejection had left their mark, but my words seemed to break through the layers of pain.

"I need someone like you," I said, kneeling before him. "Join me, Mr. Furuta. Let's create something extraordinary together."

For a moment, he didn't speak. Then, with trembling hands, he grasped mine.

"Thank you... Thank you so much," he choked out, his voice thick with emotion.

It was a moment of raw vulnerability, and I knew I had gained an ally whose loyalty would be unshakable.

---

Two years later,

Dr. Hubungkun had become a cornerstone of my team. His inventions and ingenuity had elevated the Eldra family's projects to unprecedented heights, proving that his genius was truly unmatched.

---

At the point when I was 17 years old, Dr. Hubungkun is really satisfying and doing what I want.

I invented most of the dirty tools and facilities I will use in the future, as well as most of the inventions made by Dr. Hu

Bungkun in the game.

Other than that, Dr. Hubungkun himself is excellent, so he has contributed a lot to the Eldra family by developing and inventing a

lot in other ways.

Above all, great progress was made in the investigation of Lee Si-hoon's lineage.

Weeeee…

After school, Rize and I went down to the underground laboratory by taking the elevator of a research facility in Eldra under the umbrella.

The elevator door opened and we entered the laboratory led by Dr. Hu Bungkun.

Even if it's a laboratory, it's like a lobby where you can remotely operate various machines and watch them conduct experiments.

In the lobby of the lab, there are several assistants besides Dr. Hu Bung-kun.

"Dr. Furuta, I'm here."

"Ohhh! !"

When I called, Dr. Hu Bungkun immediately rose from his seat and welcomed me with his arms wide open.

"Welcome! Miss Rize, how are you!"

"Hello, Dr. Furuta."

Bowing and politely, Rize greeted Dr. Hubungkun.

"How is your research going?"

"Of course! We are doing a test to apply the power of student Lee Si-hoon's blood to a weapon with great admiration! The

probability of success is high!"

Haha, it's Dr. Furuta as expected."

"No! It's all thanks to you that I can do this kind of research! But you really have a lot of people! You can't believe that someone with such amazing blood is your friend!"

Dr. Furuta looked at the monitor with eyes full of research fever.

"If this research succeeds, mankind will be able to hunt monsters more easily than now!"

Of course.

It's the protagonist's blood.

"I'm looking forward to completion. By the way, besides blood research, are other research going well?"

"Ufufufu, of course I'm working hard on that too."

Hu Bung-kun let out a sinister laugh that we saw a lot in the original work.

"We are still diligently inventing and testing the tools that the boy will use when he becomes an adult.

Dr. Hubung Thun continued with a self-proclaimed cheeky smile.

"To believe that you have to be an adult to use it. With a very charming maid like Miss Rize by your side, she's very patient.

Ufufufu."

"Doctor Furuta?"

Rize coldly glared at Dr. Hubungkun.

"Did I say this too much?"

"No, it's not like that at all, Dr. Furuta. Rize is my best and most charming maid. Even if I'm determined to put up with it until

I'm an adult, there are many times when it's hard."

"…"

Look, how cute and charming it is to blush a little like this.

"Ufufufu, the soundproofing system has already been installed in the boy's room, so please enjoy it as much as you like when you become an adult."

"Yes, of course."

Will be very useful

"Young master…."

It looks like Rize can't stand it because she's ashamed.

Let's finish teasing and petting Rize.

"Whoa, whoa… Lord, master…"

At that time, a woman approached Dr. Hubungkun, exhaling sticky breath.

"Mmm, food… Master… Feed me…."

A woman kneeling down and grabbing the crotch of Dr. Bungkun's trousers.

The woman was Rachel Recoli, who framed Dr. Hubungkun two years ago and caused her to be fired.
