Mike scanned his surroundings to find himself in an unfamiliar place. With panic in his eyes, he mumbled to himself, "Where am I? "
With his instincts telling him to look to his side, he found that not only was he surrounded by people with animal-like features, but some also had long, pointy ears. Fascinated by this discovery, he thought to himself. What was that glowing light?
He thought of what happened (" Mom, I'm going to get some things at the store. I'll be back. On his way, he encountered what other people call pure madness. He could not believe it himself; he had been pulled into what seemed to me like a circle with ancient writing on it, the thing he only saw in fantasy anime. The light engulfed him, But before he could be fully engulfed by the bright light flashing from the circle, his last scream was, "Mom, I love you…." but he could not finish the whole sentence.
Mike suddenly returned to reality with a voice: "Hey, wake up ". Thinking he was finally done dreaming and expecting to see his mom in front of him, reality slapped him on the face. In realisation, he found that his mother was not there but a big man with scars on his face and one across his left cheek. But what he saw next were people being dragged out of the cart one by one as if they were goods to be sold. Not all were lucky, as they got their heads chopped off. "You come out" pointing at Mike, with a confused look but curious at the same time. He tried lifting his arms, which seemed heavy from the start, but ignored it; now he realised he was chained to the cart. " I said hurry up" The moment he jumped out, he was bitten for the first time in his life, and that is when he realised that these people were not on good terms with them and they were slave traders.
What he had next shocked him, "I got a silver wolf here," pushing Mike forward. He was hard to obtain, and they are the rarest demi-humans; you know what that means, right?" "Yes, I know." He tossed a pouch to the slave trader, and his eyes glowed at the sight of a pouch full of gold coins. "Is that enough?" "Yes," Toran replied. But before you go, be careful. They are not normal.
Mike was, bitten again and again; anger fuelled him, and he was ready to kill anyone. He begged God to help him for the first time as he did not believe in God. His hands flicked, and dark energy was emitted from him.
They loaded in a cart with one of the girls who was sold alongside him. "She's human," Mike mumbled to himself. She looked frail and had given up on life. She did not say anything, and neither did Mike. All he thought about was escaping from this place, but there was no chance of him doing so as there were other traders in the cart with them. And the thought of what would happen if he failed hunted him further. Upon arriving, Mike was shocked to see it was a big mansion, a noble lived there. He had expected that this crazy thing would only be done by a mad scientist looking for test subjects.
They were both put in a cell and looked up. It looked like it was not the first time this had been done. Moments later, a girl their age came and threw them some bread; it was as hard as a brick. They both had one. But the girl next to him finished it in no time and looked like she was still hungry. Though hungry, he shared it with a girl next to him. "My name is Mike, what's yours?" She hesitated at first and said, "Thank you for the bread. I'm Rin," her voice sounded dead, but she still forced a smile on her face.
