Chapter 21
Min-soo couldn't shake off the feeling that he needed to define his relationship with Ji-hyun. He called her, asking if she could come over so they could talk. Ji-hyun agreed immediately, despite a nagging voice inside her that urged caution.
When the time came, Ji-hyun told Ah-rim about her plans, and they picked out a suitable outfit together. As Min-soo's car arrived, Ji-hyun took a deep breath and got in.
At Min-soo's house, Ji-hyun sat down, trying to calm her nerves. Min-soo changed into casual clothes and joined her, sitting beside her on the couch.
Without beating around the bush, Min-soo asked Ji-hyun what he was to her. Ji-hyun's heart skipped a beat as she replied, "I want you to be my boyfriend."
Min-soo's face broke into a radiant smile. He turned off his phone, leaned in, and kissed Ji-hyun deeply. The world around them melted away as they lost themselves in the kiss.
When they finally broke apart, Min-soo whispered, "I take you as my girlfriend." They locked eyes, the tension between them palpable.
As they continued to gaze at each other, Min-soo swept Ji-hyun off her feet, carrying her toward the bed. But just as things were getting intense, Ji-hyun's phone rang, shattering the mood.
Ji-hyun's eyes widened as she saw Ah-rim's name on the screen. She apologized to Min-soo and took the call, learning that Ah-rim needed her urgently.
It turned out that Ah-rim's boyfriend, Tae-oh, had asked her to stay over at his place. Ji-hyun returned to her own apartment, feeling a mix of relief and frustration.
As she settled into her routine, Ji-hyun couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Ah-rim hadn't called. She smiled to herself, knowing that she and Min-soo would have plenty of time to explore their newfound relationship.
