The woman pushed back her hood, revealing a shocking face. It was Alexandra, Ethan's thought-to-be-dead sister.
Ethan's eyes widened in stunned silence. Alexandra smiled weakly.
"I'm sorry I didn't contact you sooner," she said. "But I've been working undercover, gathering evidence to take down The Syndicate."
Ethan's mind reeled. His sister, alive? Working undercover?
Rachel emerged from the shadows, her eyes narrowed. "How do we know we can trust you?" she asked.
Alexandra's smile faltered. "I know I've put Ethan through hell," she said. "But I swear, I'm on your side. I want to help you take down The Syndicate."
Ethan searched his sister's face, looking for any sign of deception. But all he saw was sincerity.
"Okay," he said finally. "We'll trust you. But you need to tell us everything."
Alexandra nodded, taking a deep breath. "It starts with our father," she said.
