Chapter 34: The Chase
Ethan and Alex sprinted down the alleyway, their footsteps echoing off the walls. They could hear the sounds of their attackers, shouting and chasing after them.
"We need to lose them," Ethan yelled, grabbing Alex's arm and pulling him down a side alley.
They ran as fast as they could, dodging trash cans and leaping over puddles. But no matter how fast they ran, their attackers seemed to be gaining on them.
Suddenly, Alex spotted a motorcycle parked by the side of the road. "Ethan, look!" he yelled.
Ethan's eyes lit up. "Let's go!" he shouted.
They jumped on the motorcycle, Ethan starting the engine and peeling out of the alleyway. They sped through the streets, weaving in and out of traffic.
But their attackers were relentless, chasing after them in a black SUV. Ethan could see them in the rearview mirror, their faces twisted with anger.
"We need to shake them," Ethan yelled, taking a sharp turn onto a side street.
The SUV followed, its tires screeching as it took the turn. Ethan knew they couldn't keep this up for much longer.
That's when he spotted it - a narrow bridge up ahead, with a sign that read "Weight Limit: 2 Tons."
Ethan's eyes lit up. "Hold on!" he yelled, gunning the engine and heading straight for the bridge.
