Chapter 18: The Foundation
Ethan sat in his small office, surrounded by stacks of papers and empty coffee cups. He had been working tirelessly to build EREBUS, pouring all of his energy into creating a solid foundation for the organization.
It had been a few months since he had first met with Sarah, and since then, they had made significant progress. They had recruited a handful of talented individuals, each with their own unique skills and expertise.
Ethan's eyes scanned the room, taking in the makeshift workspace. They had set up a small server room in the back, where they were hosting their own website and communication platform.
Sarah walked in, a cup of coffee in hand. "Hey, Ethan. How's it going?"
Ethan smiled, rubbing his tired eyes. "It's going. Slowly but surely."
Sarah nodded, setting the coffee down in front of him. "We're making progress. We just need to keep pushing forward."
Ethan took a sip of the coffee, feeling a small boost of energy. He knew that Sarah was right. They just needed to keep working, keep building, and eventually, EREBUS would take off.
As they worked, Ethan's mind turned to his finances. He had invested a significant amount of his own money into EREBUS, and he was starting to see a small return on his investment.
They had landed a few small clients, and the revenue was starting to trickle in. It wasn't much, but it was enough to keep them going.
Ethan smiled to himself, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. They were doing it. They were building something from scratch, and it was starting to take shape.
To be continued.
