Chapter 3: The Experiment

Ethan's mind was racing as he walked downstairs to the kitchen. He couldn't shake the feeling that something fundamental had changed within him. The dream, the strange sensations, the newfound powers... it was all too much to process.

As he entered the kitchen, Ethan's mother greeted him with a warm smile. "Good morning, sweetie! How are you feeling today?"

Ethan hesitated, unsure of how to respond. He didn't want to alarm his mother, but he couldn't pretend that everything was normal. "I'm... fine, Mom. Just a little tired, I guess."

His mother nodded sympathetically. "Well, you've been working hard lately. Maybe you just need a break."

Ethan nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. He knew he couldn't keep his new powers a secret forever, but for now, he just wanted to experiment and understand what was happening to him.

As he sat down to eat breakfast, Ethan began to formulate a plan. He needed to test his powers, to see what he was capable of. And he needed to do it without anyone noticing.

After finishing his breakfast, Ethan excused himself and headed back to his room. He locked the door behind him and began to pace back and forth, thinking.

Where could he go to experiment with his powers without being seen? Somewhere isolated, somewhere he could be alone...

And then it hit him - the old warehouse on the outskirts of town. It was abandoned, a relic of a bygone era. Ethan had explored it once before, and he knew it was the perfect place to test his powers.

With a sense of excitement and trepidation, Ethan made his way to the warehouse. As he approached the building, he could feel his heart pounding in his chest.

What would he be capable of? What secrets would he uncover about himself?

Ethan took a deep breath, pushed open the creaky door, and stepped inside.

The warehouse was dimly lit, the only sound the creaking of old wooden beams. Ethan's eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness, and he began to make out the shapes of old crates and machinery.

He took a deep breath, focused his mind, and reached out with his powers...

To be continued.

How's that? Should I continue with the next chapter?
