Chereads / Sponsor System: Harem With Infinite Money / Chapter 30 - Is There Something Special About Tina?

Chapter 30 - Is There Something Special About Tina?

When they arrived outside the girls' dormitory, Yana suddenly realized something was off.

Ever since she'd started university, her habit of keeping simps and hoarding backup plans had conditioned her to instinctively let go of Ryan the moment she spotted other people, afraid to appear too close to him.

Her posture immediately shifted to create some distance, adopting a reserved demeanor that made it seem like Ryan was nothing more than a motorcycle taxi driver giving her a ride.

The moment she got off the bike, her face showed a hint of panic. Ryan looked at her with a cheerful smile and said, "Get some rest early!"

The simpler the words, the more meaning they seemed to carry. Ryan wasn't the type to be scheming—or so it seemed.

If he was, then his depth was terrifying. With his financial resources, he could have any woman he wanted—forget Tina, there wasn't anyone he couldn't win over.

Yana couldn't help but wonder: Was there something uniquely special about Tina's fate or destiny?

But having encountered plenty of cunning people and holding a vivid imagination about the upper class, Yana couldn't help but feel a little uneasy at the simplicity and warmth of Ryan's words.

She forced a smile and earnestly said, "Ryan, Tina was upset today. How about I give her this limited-edition bag?"

"I know how much you like her."

Ryan lit a cigarette, looked at her deeply, and said, "It doesn't matter anymore. What I gave you is yours. Please don't reopen these wounds for me, okay?"

"Ah, I'm sorry!!!"

Yana was startled for a moment. Seeing Ryan's expression, it was clear he wasn't joking.

Now, Yana was the only one who knew about Ryan's financial capabilities. Honestly, with such a relentless financial assault, if he had deployed it earlier, Tina might already be expecting their second child by now.

But Tina knew nothing of this, and everything was happening solely before Yana. A hint of sweetness once again welled up in her heart.

"I'm not blaming you for anything!"

Ryan shook his head and gently said, "Yana, please keep all of this a secret for me, okay? At least for now, you're the person I trust the most."

Ryan thoughts were simple—he only had just over a 700 dollars left.

The Infinite Money System could indeed allow him to spend freely, but only on a bound individual. Since Tina couldn't yet be bound, it was frustrating.

On Yana, however, he could spend as he pleased, which made him consider temporarily living off her.

But he wasn't sure what the reward for his first counterattack would be, so he felt somewhat uncertain and guilty. He decided to wait and see the results of this first effort before making his next move.

"Ryan, I promise I won't say a word!"

Thinking back to Ryan's previous reputation for being a shameless simp, Yana nodded solemnly, looking as if she fully understood, and swore an oath.

Ryan let out a sigh of relief and tentatively said, "If my roommates and I go out for a meal, it might cost a few hundred to a thousand dollars. Would it be okay if you cover it first, and I'll pay you back later?"

Ryan fully intended to rely on her financially for now. After all, the money he spent was already charged to the system, so asking her to spend her own money wasn't an issue in his mind.

However, to Yana, his words nearly brought her to tears with emotion.

Brother Ryan was so down to earth! In truth, meals in the boys' dormitory wouldn't cost much at all, and guys typically hated inviting girls to join them for casual gatherings.

He had kept a low profile and lived harmoniously with his roommates for years. To everyone, he was just known as Tina's shameless admirer.

Even his roommates didn't know his true background. But now, by inviting her, he was undoubtedly signaling a closeness that surpassed what he had with Tina.

"Ryan, I'll listen to whatever you say."

Yana was so moved that she nearly cried. She covered her mouth, not knowing what to say.

In her imagination, Ryan had hidden his identity from Tina for so many years.

He had never mentioned any of this to his roommates either, but now he was inviting her, which undoubtedly felt like an acknowledgment of her status.

"This might be a bit of an inconvenience for you."

Ryan completely misunderstood her reaction. Helplessly, he laughed bitterly and said, "We'll probably just eat some barbecue near the school, not at some fancy place like Domina. We're just looking for something casual."

After all, fancy places would make it harder for students to relax.

Yana immediately wiped away her tears and said, "Ryan, I understand. I'm not that unreasonable."

Ryan panicked when he saw her crying, "Don't cry. If others see, they'll think I did something to you."

"Ryan, how much have you suffered over the years?"

Yana suddenly burst into tears. Though she had always been clever, adept at playing the role of a green tea girl or even a sea queen, at this moment, she couldn't contain her emotions.

In this instant, she felt that all her supposed cleverness was the height of foolishness. Most importantly, her so-called "wisdom" now seemed utterly laughable.

The man she had always looked down on as a foolish simp—what reason did she have to think so little of him? Why did he exude such unshakable confidence?

Putting aside Young Master Ryan immense financial resources, if he truly revealed his status, it wouldn't just be Tina. Countless women would willingly fall at his feet.

But ever since he entered school, he had kept a low profile, never flaunting his wealth.

No one else knew this truth; only she did now—especially after today, which had been so eye-opening.

Now, even his roommates were kept in the dark, proving how much he cherished this down-to-earth lifestyle. To him, this was likely just an ordinary college experience.

But now, he had spent three hundred thousand on gifts, another one million on topping up his card, and had fallen out with his goddess, Tina.

He spent such an astronomical amount but begged her to keep it a secret. This only proved how precious this low-profile life was to him.
