Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Call of Destiny

My eyes snapped open, in front of me was a darkness as thick as ink, my ears echoed with the mournful sound of ghosts crying and wolves howling, my body was falling rapidly, but I never saw the ground. "What the hell is going on here?" I was filled with fear, struggling in this endless void.

Suddenly, an icy and bone-chilling voice rang out in the darkness, "Hmph!" This voice seemed to come from the Nine Hells, instantly making my cold hairs stand straight up. Immediately afterward, with a "Fall!" , I fell heavily to the ground like a falling meteor. "Hiss --" Painful pain came from my buttocks, I couldn't help but suck in a mouthful of cool air, secretly screaming in my heart.

I forced myself to endure the pain and slowly raised my head, and what met my eyes was a mysterious figure dressed in a black cloak. His entire person seemed to be completely engulfed by darkness, his face hidden in the deep shadows of the cloak's hat, his body exuding a chilling aura of death, a sense of despair that could make one's soul tremble.

I summoned up my courage and asked dryly "Who are you?" My voice trembled slightly in this eerie space, carrying a hint of fear that was hard to hide. However, he didn't move a muscle, just like an ice-cold statue, and had no response to my inquiry.

Nervousness grew in my heart, and I cautiously moved my feet forward in an attempt to get a better look at him. Just as I was about to approach, he remained motionless, as if he was unaware of my approach. I couldn't help but feel a chill in my heart, secretly thinking, "Could it be that he is really blind?" As soon as this thought flashed through my mind, I quickly reached out my hand, wanting to test whether he was really blind.

Just at the moment my fingers were about to touch him, he suddenly spoke coldly, "Have you played enough?" The voice was low and majestic, like a judgment bell ringing in my ears. I trembled in fear, my hand froze in mid-air, awkwardly frozen in place.

"Who the hell are you? What is this place?" I asked again, summoning up the courage, a little more urgency and longing in my voice.

He was silent for a moment and said slowly, "I am the God of Death, and this is my domain. You, on the other hand, have intruded into this forbidden place."

When I heard this, my mind went blank, and fear overwhelmed me like a tidal wave. "How did I ... I come here? Could it be that I am dead?" I shouted in terror, my voice filled with despair and helplessness.

The God of Death snorted coldly and said emotionlessly, "You're not dead yet, but your destiny has already departed from its original track, and from now on, you will embark on a very different path."

Filled with confusion and fear, I eagerly pursued, "Why on earth is this? I don't remember anything!"

The God of Death impatiently waved his hand, a ghostly light flashed, and a huge crystal ball appeared out of nowhere. Inside the crystal ball, images slowly emerged, seemingly revealing my dusty past ...
