The third room revealed itself as being dimly lit. Dim, but lit none the less by some faint torches mounted on the walls. They provided just enough light to be able to see the contents of the room comfortably.
In the center of the room, lay a large stone tablet. It is a large tan stone tablet, with something pictured on it. It takes up most of the floor space of the room, laying thickly on the floor.
Ignoring the tablet for now, they decided to look around the room for anything else. It seemed like the rooms all had a couple elements that came together and connected.
In the far corner of the room, was a statue. The statue appeared to have some age, being damaged. Despite this, the figure remained visually distinguishable.
The statue was humanoid, yet not completely human. The limbs were skinny and elongated, and the face was androgynous, having wavy, shoulder length hair. Behind the statue, it bore wings. The statue bore some resemblance to a classic angel, yet something about it told him otherwise.
The only other thing in the room looked to be some feet poking out from behind the tablet. The feet were shriveled, indicating that they were dead, yet they were weary, they never knew what would await them in this dungeon.
They clutched their rock, despite failing against the chest, a 1-1 record wasn't bad. They got ready to throw it, or smash it into the humanoid if it reacted to him.
Creeping up to the figure, they tentatively glanced. It was clearly dead. The body was shriveled up, and laying dead. Just to be sure, they tapped the feet, and no reaction was created.
They now examined the figure. The figure was clothed in a long, grey cloak. It was tied together with a small ropes serving as a belt. It was a meager cloak, being slightly tattered, but it was decent. On the top of the hood, it had a large hood.
Currently being a flesh monster, they opted to close themselves. Untying the cloak, they now took it upon themselves. It felt good to have any kind of protection, from enemies, or future elements of nature. The cloak had decent thickness, so it would be very useful. They used the rope to secure the cloak.

They noticed that the cloak had pockets on the inside, quite useful. They put their key that they found earlier in the pocket. They held on to their light and rock, being the more currently useful items.
Now it was time to confront the tablet. After getting dressed in the robe, they walked over to analyze the tablet.
The tablet contains markings, much like on the wall, but the style was different. It seemed older, parts of the markings being faded beyond recognition.
The tablet consisted of two elements. It had both writing, and a picture.
Despite being able to use the spoken language of this world, they were unable to comprehend the written language. It looked like a scrawling of circles with different shapes inside and outside of them.
The picture however, they could see, and try to understand. The picture was of a group of people, all wearing tattered clothes, bowing their head to a robed figure. The robed figure bore a strong resemblance to both the figure on the previous wall with the strange arm poses, as well as the man that was dead before him.
Going back to the dead man, they analyzed him further. His body seemed that of a normal human, but he was strangely colored. His skin was grey, and shriveled. It seemed like he had been dead for some time, yet his body was well preserved.
Despite it being well preserved, it didn't seem like his death was completely intentional due to the awkward placement of his corpse.
Due to the corpse of the man in the robe, the picture on the tablet, and the altar, you decided that this whole deal was a cult thing. You thought that maybe the winged humanoid was their god.
They then came to a sudden realization. There was no obvious exit to this room. Now, they realized that similar to the second room, there was going to be some kind of puzzle to get out of the room.
It was now that they decided to survey all of the rooms once more.
1st room: Large and empty. contains nothing except for a pile of sludge where the beast used to be.
2nd room: Smaller room. Contains the black altar, a sealed metal chest, a pile of assorted bones, and a wall with a carving of a hooded figure doing strange arm poses.
Third room: Medium room, contains a large stone tablet, the corpse of the hooded figure, and the statute of the winged humanoid. On top of this, the walls are lined with torches.
"My goal now should be to open the chest somehow, if I can open the chest, it probably has something that can help me get out of here." They thought.
They decided to go back to the pile of bones. The assorted shapes and sizes might prove useful as tools to open the chest, possibly as a lever.
Laying out the bones, they felt an eerie chill. Despite all they had gone through, death and its results were still disgusting to them. But, their desire for utility overran that.
A large bone caught your eye. It appeared to be a large femur, but not from a human. It was solid and had a nice weight to it. If the rock ever failed, the femur would be a nice backup.
To solidify it even more as a useful tool, they decided to sharpen it with their ever-useful rock. They took the rough rock to the bone, knocking off bits and pieces, then carefully sharpening it, so that it could be used both as a lever and as a makeshift shank.
Scrape... Scrape...
A crudely sharpened femur was now in their inventory of items.
