"morning April." My best friend called out from behind me,
"Oh, May," I turned to look at her " what's up?"
"I'm glad you asked." She flashed a 50,000 megawatt smile,
"I just asked what's up."
And it was my reply that made me regret return her greeting that morning,
"Oh! So you are telling me that I, May, the future of this world, the hero who's gonna bring peace and joy is..." Her voice started to drift off as I continued my walk to school
"Hey, wait up." She called out when she realized I wasn't behind her,
"Now, I will ask again." I turned my head about 75 degrees to the right and narrowed my eyes
"what's up?"
Instead of her to continue her normal cheeriness and blabber on she just continued walking looking sober.
"It's just...I don't know how to put it... May you are..." She stammered
"I'm what?" I was scared she isn't normally like this,
"I planned us a really fun weekend." She was back to her normal cheery self,
"What?" I was confused,
"It's to celebrate my new phone."
"Oh, your parents finally agreed to get you a new phone."
"Yea." She put on a closed smile which usually means she's hiding something,
"Good." I gave a breath of relief "now we can talk to each other through the night."
We walked for a bit then she spoke,
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing, really." It was a lie I was thinking that the sudden mood swing was caused by Frank(her boyfriend) going into the forbidden zone and she was holding a life,
"Ok." We walked for a little bit when we got to school, she ran down the hall littered with kids and shouted.
"I will see you later for our outing today."
"What? I will have to tell my mom."
"Don't worry my mom called your mom last night."
"Ok." I saw her turn towards Frank's locker most likely to tell him about her new phone, I dropped my stuff in my locker and took out my chemistry note and textbook and went towards the lab.
....
I got to the lab pretty early cause there was no one was there even the teacher.
"Strange." I said to my self, then I heard the principal's voice then I suddenly remembered
"THE ASSEMBLY." I shouted and ran out of the lab, thank goodness that there was no one to see me like that.
I was already halfway to the assembly hall the I remembered something
"My books!" I turned back and hit someone
"Hi princess." He smiled and extended his hand, he was tall (taller than me), he wore a black hoodie and a ridiculous smile."I'm Brad and you are?"
"Taken." I took his hand and returned his smile "now if you would excuse me I have to get my books."
"Oh so you'er Stella?" He put his hand into his bag
"Yes, and what does that have to do with anything."
"Here," he handed me my books "I saw you run out of the lab without your books and I saw you enter with them."
"Wait, are you stalking me."
"No I was helping a princess."
Apart from the fact he calls me princess he seems nice
"Ok so, are you single or is there a-"
I don't know why put I slapped him
"Sorry." I turned and ran away but he had a smile on his face.
.....
I got to the hall just in time cause the principal was calling my name
"Stella Williams, kindly come up and escort miss Rogers home."
"May? What happened to May?" I muttered to my self what if my suspicious was true, oh Franky
When I got to the front row I saw her being supported by two girls in my grade, I helped her up and took her towards the door, when we were close to the door I whispered to her
"Now tell me who's the father, is it dear ol' Franky?"
She burst out laughing and almost fell down but someone caught her, I spoke too soon
"Hey Frank what did you do to may over here?"
May looked at me somehow and said "That's not Frank."
Oh sh*t I saw the hoodie and it was a black hoodie.
