As the ten-lined blue battle force settled over his body, he felt unprecedented strength surge through his veins, empowering him to an unstoppable degree.
He stopped falling into the abyss
He reached out to the sides with his arms and caught on to what he could only think of as the walls of the hole he was falling through.
His hands embedded themselves into the walls, breaking them apart and creating a fissure with which he supported his weight.
Like piercing into flesh with sharp claws, he felt like a tiger, with strength coursing through his body like thunder crashing into the ground right behind one's ears.
Imitating a tiger, he exerted force with his arms onto the fissure, propelling himself forward like a tiger pouncing on its prey.
He flew up out of the abyss, feeling the cold wind caress his face as he kept ascending.
Soon, he reached the top where the ground under his feet had once collapsed and caused him to descend into the pits of hell.
He felt as though he were flying. Taking a step in the air, he found that he could, and taking another, he began to walk.
As if climbing a set of stairs he ascended further.
Looking up, he found the golden lotus, this time from the bottom and he was going to enter it straight from its stalk.
He shuttled into the massive golden stalk, and as if going up a gravity-propelled transport chute, he flew faster and faster—like a bullet in a gun's barrel, except he felt like an ant in a colosseum. The interior of the stalk was simply boundless.
The golden walls of the tube stretched on for seemingly infinite distances as his vision could only reach so far.
Encompassing him in his entirety, it seemed as though he was stuck in a spatial loop, regardless of how fast or for how long he traveled, the end was nowhere in sight.
He realized that something might be wrong, that he might have accidentally stepped into a trap.
The laws of this space were awkward, to say the least.
He could not understand what was going on at all.
Initially, it seemed that he did not have to understand it, but now he knew, that if he wanted to finish his awakening he had to discover what was within the lotus.
Recalling the previous series of events, of how he could utilize the battle force developed in his past life within this awakening space, he wondered if he could also utilize his Upanishad Formation.
And sure enough, the moment he began to channel his focus to the Dao of Gravity set somewhere within his consciousness, a five-layered array disc appeared beneath his feet.
Almost instantly he stopped moving through the endless golden tube and stood still in the center of this giant palace.
With solid ground finally under his feet, he began to feel relieved.
But not for long as he realized that he wasn't stuck at all.
He was falling again, or was he?
The abyss had re-entered his vision and it was becoming larger and larger by the second.
Was the abyss devouring the golden lotus? Possibly.
Was he going to stick around and witness the scene, potentially being dragged into the abyss himself? Absolutely fucking not.
And with that thought shooting through his mind and into his body, the Upanishad Formation lit up brighter than ever and began to spin.
It spun faster and faster and Han Xuanyuan ascended with supreme acceleration, his momentum unrivalled as he crossed massive distances in mere moments.
Finally, he could see the end in sight, the lotus bottom.
The connection point between the stalk and the flower was a massive blurry boundary line.
It was seemingly transparent but he could not see through at all, as if a swirling fog were clouding his vision itself instead of the boundary.
Closing his eyes and imagining his surroundings based solely on his senses, he flew towards the boundary.
As he entered the boundary he felt as though he were suppressed within a pool of water, his ears were immediately plugged up and he could not breathe anymore.
Opening his eyes he saw that this boundary was not pierced through at all and instead only stretched inwards when he tried to walk into it.
With his fist clenched and his deep blue battle force surging, all ten sea dragons appeared at his fist.
Channeling all his power into this single punch, he threw it at the boundary, immediately tearing a hole in it.
Smiling at his own unstoppable power, he enlarged the hole by tearing it up further with his hands, it produced the exact sound of ripping a piece of cloth apart.
Entering the flower's megasporangium he felt light-headed and the battle force around him began to flicker, the Upanishad Formation under his feet also dimmed substantially.
In front of him, he could see a perfectly spherical deep purple seed-like structure.
It slowly spun about a fixed position, shining in a dark light its surface gleamed with unfathomable energy.
In front of the aura of this object, he felt absolutely minuscule, as though his very existence could be wiped out within a single breath.
But he braved himself, tightened his battle force, and instilled more focus into the Upanishad Formation.
His battle force deepened visibly and the runes of the array discs under his feet brightened up and began to squirm with greater frequency.
Step by step, he tread closer to the treasured seed.
Powerful winds swept over him, he crossed his arms over his face but still suffered several cuts on his arms and face.
His legs felt heavier by the second, as though weighed down by countless sandbags, each step caused his battle force to solidify and the lines to become jagged.
Eventually, he came to within twenty meters of the seed, but no matter what he did, his body could not be moved not even an inch, backwards or forwards he was being pushed from all sides until he could only passively withstand the pressure.
He forced his battle force to surge continuously until it reached twelve incredibly crooked lines, strengthening his body massively but he still could not move.
Then he tried with his Upanishad Formation, focusing all of his mental power into the array discs he caused them to achieve a blindingly bright light.
The countless runes transformed and flowed like water in a rotating pattern.
The outer disc spun faster and faster, bringing the runes all the way to the edge, and then something magical happened.
A new disc emerged from the fifth, extending the count to six, and the area of the entire Upanishad Formation nearly doubled.
But he still could not move even slightly.
From behind he could see the darkness approaching, the abyss was going to devour the entire lotus.
The moment he laid eyes on the purple sphere he had expected that the awakening would only be successful if he could absorb the purple sphere.
But if this abyss annihilated the lotus seed, he would have failed his awakening and would probably not be able to cultivate his spirit ever again.
He began to panic, none of his powers were having any effect on this stalemate.
He recalled everything he had learned so far, his practice was incredibly limited so the search was not too extensive.
He determined that he had only one real option - to recall his sequence particles.
In his second life, he had managed to comprehend sequence particles and achieve Exalted combat power.
Unfortunately, his time was cut short as he perished during the ambush of nine Nebula Realm monsters.
His own cultivation base at that time was only in the Stellar Absorption realm, being able to cross four major realms was already an unprecedented feat, but acquiring a power set two super realms above him had put a serious toll on his body.
Even if he had not self-detonated, the backlash from releasing so many sequence particles would have ripped him to shreds anyway.
Now, as a mere mortal, five entire super realms beneath the cultivation base he had when he originally used this power, he was going to tap into it again.
The only reason why he even dared to try this was because the battle force and Upanishad Formation had given him significant confidence.
Blue battle force is not a normal cultivator's power, much less a mortal's; the Upanishad Formation is not something even a Galaxy Realm cultivator can treat lightly; but here he was, exhibiting utter mastery over these abilities.
In this world of spiritual awakening, the possible and impossible mix and merge to become a dream-like state where everything is nothing and nothing is everything in a paradox that eats away at all thoughts and transforms all of reality into a majestic abyss devouring the very essence of the universe and sending all cognition to a cold and dark prison for all of eternity.
If that is indeed the case, then the sequence particles of Injustice are the greatest justice for this world, ending all this hypocritical justice with the Rule of Injustice would be the true and ultimate justice.
So with this logic, since the Rule of Injustice was initially impossible to introduce into Han Xuanyuan's vessel is it now feasible to utilize the Injustice sequence particles as it would result in true justice?
There was only one way to find that out, that is to test the theory out, and sure enough.
With a roar, countless sequence particles flooded the scene, scattering in the megasporangium like stars in the endless heavens.
First, the pressure on Han Xuanyuan evaporated, as if it were never present to begin with.
Then his battle force began to soar and his Upanishad Formation became brighter than ever, the array discs under his feet lighting up to resemble the blazing sun on a hot summer afternoon.
The abyss was covered in sequence particles and its rate of ascension was greatly reduced, giving Han Xuanyuan more time to reach the lotus seed.
He rushed towards the purple sphere only to see that it was arcing with flashes of dark gold lightning, he braced himself and extended his index finger to make contact with the lotus seed.
With a grand explosion in his mind, countless scenes zoomed across his vision.
Depicting various strange monsters and alien creatures fighting with humans, killing them, torturing them, toying with them, and even enslaving them.
Reaping countless human lives, he saw endless scenes of misery and desolation.
Within three breaths he saw endless lives being lost and only a single word appeared during this experience - predecessors.
He was confused but he had no time to dwell on these matters.
Returning his vision to reality, he saw the purple lotus seed being absorbed into his body.
The golden lotus surrounding him like a colossal palace in the void disintegrated rapidly and left him stranded in the boundless darkness.
But he did not last long enough to see this scene perfect as the purple lotus seed was absorbed in just a few breaths.
His apparition was dissipated almost immediately, sending his consciousness back to his body.
His eyes regained focus and he saw Han Wutian look at him with an overjoyed expression, the skin beside his eyes creasing as he showed his bright teeth in a wide smile.
"Grandpa! I think I did it!" Han Xuanyuan too, was simply exhilarated at this result, he could feel immense power suppressed within his Linghun Aperture, simply boiling in reality.
"You did wonderfully Yuan'er, a flawless Ninth Grade Spiritual Abode!"
Han Wutian said, his voice overflowing with happiness and unconcealable pride.
He truly viewed Xuanyuan as his own grandson, and this touched him deeply.
Over the past two years, the man had gone to great lengths to give Han Xuanyuan the best of everything.
Starting from etiquette to knowledge, Han Wutian had told him countless things, even teaching him basic skills for things like conducting alchemy, forging armaments, and rune engraving.
The mountain they lived on was expansive, to say the least, and they were completely self-sustaining.
Starting from the herbs and mystic plants required for alchemy to the ores and gems needed for blacksmithing, everything was either growing in Han Wutian's garden or could be collected from the neighboring mountains.
For the next couple of days, Han Wutian guided Xuanyuan in stabilizing his spiritual power and solidifying his foundation and reinforcing the spiritual abode.
Han Wutian was incredibly pleased with Han Xuanyuan's performance during the training and was happy to see that the boy had not relaxed despite finding out he had such top-tier talent.
After that, Han Wutian taught Xuanyuan how to produce divine senses.
"Divine senses are just an extension of your spirit. It is the primary power of any spiritual cultivator."
"They come in three main categories - penetrating, oppressing, and transforming"
"You may be able to cultivate all three, but it is best to focus on just one as you can only shape your divine senses into a particular form."
"Penetrative Divine Senses are the ultimate attack method of a pure spiritual cultivator. They possess thunderous power and the force to pierce through even the strongest defenses."
"Oppressive Divine Senses are the greatest protector under secret techniques for the spirit path. Suppressing everything like a domain and generating the strongest guardian effect like a battle force."
"Transformative Divine Senses are the most versatile, with the ability to conceal and disguise the user being the most basic utilizations. Producing countless metamorphoses in weapon intentions and establishing atomic precision through a spiritual domain."
And just like this, the days passed by, with each moment granting Han Xuanyuan new understandings and phenomenal break throughs in both cognition and power.
But of course, peace cannot last forever as just two weeks after this, hundreds of soldiers were dispatched to arrest Han Wutian.
Entire regiments of white-robed cultivators headed by experts in sky-blue robes soon surrounded Han Wutian's mountain. Their cultivation levels ranging from the Nebula Realm at the lowest up to the peak of the Galaxy Realm.
"We have you surrounded Han Wutian! You've evaded our search for long enough but we can still decrease your punishment if you surrender yourself!"
The leader of the regiment in the north called out, the wind from the mountain peak blowing his long flowing hair backward to reveal a handsome face.
The moment he heard this foreign voice Han Xuanyuan knew they were fucked.
He walked out of his room and was going to peek out of the window when Han Wutian pulled him by his shoulder and put a finger to his lip, signaling him to be quiet and not be seen.
Beckoning him over with his hand, Han Wutian opened a cellar door, one Han Xuanyuan had not seen before, and led him down to a dark and dusty basement where he finally spoke out.
"Listen Yuan'er, this may be a lot to take in at this moment but I want you to follow my instructions to the letter."
Han Wutian's voice was stern and serious for the first time since Han Xuanyuan met him, he knew they were fucked but now he realized not even Han Wutian was sure to get out of this situation unscathed.
Han Xuanyuan had just opened his mouth to say something but at this moment another foreign voice spoke up, this time a woman's.
"I'll give you ten breaths to get out Han Wutian! We aren't afraid of killing your sorry ass!"
She sounded very crude and unrefined but what she said made Han Wutian put on an even darker expression.
Taking out a spatial ring from his pocket and handing it to Han Xuanyuan who clutched it tight, Han Wutian spoke in a solemn voice.
"In this spatial ring are some spirit stones, a spiritual cultivation technique, a sword art manual, and the sword I forged for you."
As he spoke he made his way to the middle of the room, blowing at the floor to clear away several inches of thick dust and reveal a grand formation.
Taking a bright arctic blue gemstone out of the same pocket the spatial ring was taken out from, he placed it onto the central array of the formation and the whole thing lit up.
Dark purple light flickered onto the formation lines and the countless minuscule runes filled up with faint blue energy.
"This is a teleportation array, it can only transport one person at a time and you will go first. From where you land head west without stopping and in two days you should be near a city called Qinghe. Stay at the Pink Flamingo Inn up in the cloud district and I will come find you."
He spoke fast as he calibrated the array formation.
But it was not fast enough.
"Your time is up Han Wutian! Fire the bombs boys!" The woman shouted out again, this time commanding dozens of explosives to bombard Han Wutian's house.
With an ear-shattering explosion, the basement shook violently as dust fell from the ceiling and Han Wutian urged Han Xuanyuan onto the formation while he himself began to fortify the defenses of the room with his mystic energies.
In a couple more breaths, a transparent film covered Han Xuanyuan and shone brightly with purple runic characters floating around him.
Han Wutian gave him a small smile as in the next moment, Han Xuanyuan vanished from the location, leaving behind only some glittering dust.
