Chapter 4 - Unexpected things

Violence warning!

"What do you want?" asked Alvero looking the boy before him up and down. The body shrank so much that even what he muttered was like a gust of wind.

The fingers of his hand continued to play nervously, his mouth seemed to open and close. Alvero was patient for so long that not a single sound was heard at last. What a waste of time. His behavior was not as excited as the letters and gifts the boy had decorated in his locker let alone for weeks.

"If you don't want to talk then I'll leave," Alvero continued turning to leave the boy. He didn't even mention his name to even introduce himself.

"No!"

The shout echoed in the restroom causing Alvero to flinch slightly. He didn't expect to be shouted at so loudly by someone who had been silent, even whispering as small as an ant. As if electrocuted he suddenly exploded.

His eyes narrowed with an unnerving aura, the air around them dropped even colder. Alvero was getting irritated, stalling for time.

Wait ... stalling? Damn it!

As soon as he realized something Alvero made a beeline for the door, but his hand was firmly blocked by someone else. The damn boy grasped his hand so tightly, he again did not expect such a thin body to have such strong strength. "Let go damn it! Tell me who told you to?"

Hearing Alvero's question seemed to trigger the consciousness of the boy who had been looking down. He looked up, a frightened look on his face as if he realized the terrible thing that was about to happen. He shook his head vigorously, while his lips left blood stains from being bitten unconsciously.

Seeing the person's reaction Alvero still pushed him hard without mercy. "I don't care if you had to or not, but you should know the consequences of your actions!" Alvero warned, while the face of the student who had just been warned began to tear up as if his mind was tangled. Between fear, anxiety, and helplessness.

Bang! The door was kicked open. The forms of several people in disorderly school uniforms could be seen. It looked like they were school gangsters, these bad boys wanted to beat him up? Then he would generously teach them how to beat people up properly.

"Yo, our school prince! Now you're gay too? I'm sorry we interrupted your intimate confession scene." His right hand holding the bat looked haughty while uttering a word of mockery.

"It's not good to grab all the girls in the school, now it's also a boy. How annoying your charms are!" chimed in someone in a tattered denim jacket.

"Really, we just want to tell you how boys should act!" Another supporter shouted with a face full of arrogance.

Judging from their very arrogant and haughty demeanor, it was clear they felt they were going to win. Especially with weapons, as if they were ready. Even if it was just a bat, that was not what a student should be carrying.

"I warn you to step aside now," Alvero said with emphasis. He didn't want to be bothered listening to the chatter of those obscure thugs.

"Damn it, how arrogant! See if you can get out of here alive!" Without a word, the first person to speak up came forward holding a bat ready to hit Alvero.

He dodged to the side, and while the blow missed Alvero kicked the other boy in the back, knocking him to the ground. Seeing this, the others did not remain silent, charging at him from all directions.

The cramped restroom was a mess. A fist flew up to strike him on the cheek which he caught before turning to punch the thug in the stomach, knocking him out cold.

"Arghh!"

A cry of pain rang out. While Alvero mercilessly took over the thrown stick, beating everyone who approached him to the floor.

"I warned you earlier."

Alvero stared at the people moaning in pain, looking at him with hateful eyes. While he just looked on indifferently, the weak would lose, so he became as strong as possible.

Moving as fast as the wind, his body turned backwards, holding the sharp object pointed at him with both hands. A sharp knife was about to stab him if he didn't hurry.

"Damn it!" Alvero cursed at finding someone who was much different in level than just a school thug.

Who knows when maybe while he was too busy fighting, someone snuck in. Sensing a different aura from the person in front of him, a murderous air.

"Whose orders are you?" Alvero asked angrily, throwing out the hand he was holding. Meanwhile, the man looked practiced, trying to find an opening to deliver a lethal stab.

Alvero was desperate to keep his focus and stance intact. His hands clenched into fists in front of his chest, giving him a safe distance from the assassin he had sent.

Really, someone now wanted him dead. Not just suffering.

A big, burly man who covered all of his face with a black mask matching his entire outfit. Despite Alvero's provocative words, the man did not respond at all which made him even more annoyed.

As soon as they moved forward simultaneously, Alvero threw a fist that was less quickly dodged, but still slightly off the mark. He deflected the upper fist to hit his opponent's jaw, knocking him backward.

All the while his eyes were still alert to the sharp weapon the man was holding. As the movement of the man in front of him quickened with slashes that managed to cut his cheek, he stepped back for a moment.

An unexpected attack came from behind and in front simultaneously. Alvero kicked brutally, struggling against the people holding his body from left and right.

The two thugs he had beaten up earlier were still able to stand up to him. What bad luck. As soon as a stab was about to touch his chest, he slammed his back and left shoulder into the person holding him from behind until he was knocked back.

However, the killer's movements were still fast. His stomach was mercilessly pierced by a sharp knife, making him arch in pain.

Alvero quickly collapsed to the floor while the two people holding him looked back at the pool of blood. They just realized something.

The knife was still stabbing him, but he couldn't just let this thing end like that. His hands quickly did not let the other person go, strangling the assassin firmly. Although the other hand's choke tried to get rid of it with great force.

With the last of his strength Alvero twisted his arm to grab the back of the neck smashing the other person's head into the floor making a painful sound between the bone and the marble floor.

The atmosphere became cold and deadly. Even the people who regained consciousness stared in horror at them. They ran towards the toilet door away from the bloody scene.

"Damn is he dead?" Taking a shuffling step his head was turned back, the little leader was clearly frightened now.

"Isn't this too much boss?" the trembling voice asked.

"Right, are we going to jail! It's not like the plan!"

"Why is there a hitman here!"

I don't know what happened they were lamenting fate. Accepting a high-priced person's request to play around scaring people was not to get involved in murder. They were still schoolchildren after all.

The last thing Alvero saw was the people leaving. The face of the person who confessed to him hesitated to approach before choosing to leave as well.

He was lying on the floor, temporarily clutching his pierced stomach trying to stop the bleeding. Although it was useless, his body was already limp, his eyes were dazed and unfocused. His consciousness was eroding.

All that was left in the restroom was him and the unconscious killer. Alvero regrets for a moment when Davon wants to accompany him, but is refused.

Is this how it ends? His life ending here?

On Friday, the school restroom was getting cold especially with the night coming. Maybe there would be a big news on Monday finding his body, while no one knew his last moment.

Two days without a single helper knowing his whereabouts. Would Davon send a message or ask him how he was tomorrow? After he disappeared for a day without any news, Davon must have been looking for him. He didn't want his body to rot in this smelly toilet.

So, Davon gave me a proper funeral. Thank you for being my friend.

Alvero was no longer struggling, his hand fell no longer suppressing the bleeding. While his eyes grew heavy, closing slowly. It was the last time those blue eyes opened.

. . .

The feeling of being away from the world. A silent atmosphere, without any sound surrounding him. He was alone and lonely, feeling like he was drifting in the wind somewhere.

A warm glow greeted his cold body. Giving him a warm feeling, his eyes remained closed not knowing what was happening as he got closer to the light. Was he in heaven now?

The long time he waited seemed to pass through such a long hallway. For who knows how long, he could only follow the current that carried him.

For a moment, it was as if the long journey had finally arrived. His body tightened, and the quietness returned. His eyes flickered open.

Alvero was greeted with so many people around him. Indistinct mumbling he caught, although he didn't know the content of the conversation he knew that it wasn't something good.

As soon as his gaze focused forward, he saw someone with a tall figure staring at him angrily. Full of anger and resentment, while someone desperately and sadly hid behind that person.

He was still in a daze looking around while his focus fell on two people from afar who seemed to be watching with displeased looks. The two were similar, even the expedition though one was outspoken, while the other seemed to be hiding emotions that Alvero could still read.

It was an unfamiliar environment, but he knew where this was. The uniform he was wearing was not her old school uniform. There wasn't a single person he knew here.

He looked forward again, as if he understood something. The hearing was getting clearer.

"Hurry up and apologize! You're really looking for trouble with the wrong people. Sinya, don't be afraid I'll protect you. Apologize to Sinya now!"
