Who would win: Eubin or Morgan?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A tall, muscular man seated itself within Sunny's view as he stared at him with hate filled eyes. He was the father of the vile wretch who had caused 'Sunny' suffering his entire life. And if Eubin's theory was true, then he had also done well enough to earn his ire.
And yet, Sunny didn't lash out. After all, he was dreaming, and he was quite certain of it. Despite that, Sunny couldn't help but notice that his perception of Anvil was...exceedingly low. Like a trained pessimist, Sunny continued to analyse the flaws in Anvil from his limited perception of him with a saddened expression.
'Shoulders too tensed, incapable of quick movement should need arise. Stance 2 inches too wide, and so much more...you're so full of weak spots.'
This wouldn't do. Anvil, Morgan, all of them. They didn't deserve the opportunity to die quickly and easily, nor did they deserve Sunny willingly exerting mental effort in deciding the best way to torture them. That wasn't enough, that was far from enough.
He would bring out their best, watch them achieve their peak performance then crush their ideals like ants beneath his feet. He would watch Morgan suffer as he took everything from her.
Waking up with a frown on his face, Sunny scanned his room, the low hum of sounds of the rain that he was playing on his speaker gracing his ears as he got up from his bed and stretched. He wasn't sure if he had sent Eubin and the rest of them home, and he didn't particularly care either.
Taking off his clothes which he newly found uncomfortable after his harsh dreams, Sunny wrapped a towel around his waist and made his way into his bathroom, hoping for the hot water to wash away his anguish and prepare him for the new day.
As he bathed, he couldn't help but focus on the snake tattoo that coiled itself around his right arm. Each time he looked at it, a sharp inclination to cut off his arm and wait a month or two for it to regrow continued to gnaw at his mind. And yet, he resisted it.
It would be so easy, to just remove the appendage and any legacy of the past that Morgan had left on him. But he continued to keep it on his skin. A badge to remember the suffering he was forced to endure by her hand allowing him to wake up every day with new hatred.
Exiting his bathroom, Sunny blow dried his hair, throwing on black cargo shorts before making his way to the kitchen. A low hum reverberated through the kitchen door as Sunny slowly pushed it open. Standing there wearing his favourite apron was Eubin, cooking with a smile on her face with a gigantic grizzly bear calmly seated in the corner of his room.
Sighing, Sunny walked over to the animal, running his hand through it's fur as he gave it a small smile. 'How cute.' Sunny thought to himself, silently making his way towards Eubin and coming into her field of view in seconds. She was cooking a steak, one of Sunny's favourite dishes.
Noticing his presence, Eubin calmly cracked a small smile as she never took her eyes off her cooking. "If you stand next to me shirtless, I might lose concentration over my cooking." She commented with a small laugh, taking the opportunity to tease Sunny as he looked away from her with a bashful expression.
"My eyes are up here woman." He growled, turning around and seating himself on the floor, using the bears soft body as a back rest as the two lightly playfought. Today he would be in the presence of the man he hated, one who had worked with the people he hated the most in the entire world.
However, that didn't give him the slightest excuse to no longer appreciate the presence of those he had come to appreciate. They did not deserve such disrespect, and he was quite sure he would kill all those who offered such disrespect towards her. 'Is this the life you would have wanted...Revel?'
A simple thought, 'Sunny' held Revel close to his heart and such a connection didn't seem to fade even after her death. He knew that he'd probably come face to face with her killers eventually, yet strangely he felt infinitely patient when it came to revenge for her death.
She had wanted to die in that moment or at least wanted to suffer. It was such a foolish, incredulous idea to give your life to atone for past sins. What other atonement could there be aside from moving forward? And yet, she left him. All alone.
But he wasn't furious, nor was he enraged. His rage was hidden in a deep guttural part of his soul that he knew would reveal itself should the time come. Not even a fraction of it had been quelled by the deaths of three hundred thousand.
Sunny's mind was pulled from his darker thoughts by a rough tongue sliding down his face, the bear had seen him deep in thought and decided it would be a good idea to determine how he tasted. 'How odd, now I'm going to be sticky from saliva but he's too cute to get angry at!' Sunny mentally exclaimed, or at least as close to an exclamation he could get.
Soon, he found himself seated close to Eubin, both of them eating breakfast calmly and quietly in silence as they enjoyed each other's presence without saying a word. The mere fact she was there with him was soothing, he didn't need to fear being alone.
"Sunny, do you want to meet your sister?" Eubin's tentative voice tore through the silence like a knife, her eyes not meeting his own as she nervously continued to cut out pieces of her steak. She knew Sunny remembered her, he remembered everything 'Sunny' did. But the emotional connection had died.
In fact, quite a few of his emotional connections had died. And yet, with the reverent and loving tone he used whenever he spoke of Revel, the venom he used whenever someone so much as mentioned the name 'Morgan', Eubin was at least suspicious that he might have an emotional reaction.
And yet, Sunny slowly turned to her, pointing his knife in her direction half heartedly and stared at her. "What good would that do? I don't have the right to go see her yet, in fact, I'd do more harm than good." Sunny commented, Eubin raised an eyebrow, beckoning him to continue and so he did exactly that.
"I'm wanted worldwide for genocide, I'm hunted in the underworld for being too strong, once shit hits the fan, I can barely protect anyone close to me. If you look at things objectively, I'm a failure in every regard. What right does a man who committed genocide have to see his sister?"
His self-deprecating language roused Eubin's ire as her indifferent expression quickly turned into a scowl. She stared at him before pointing a knife in his direction "You didn't commit genocide, that was an act of self defence. All of them came towards you, you had reasonable suspicion to believe they would harm you and that's what they tried to do. Also, don't you dare call yourself a failure, do you know how many lives you've saved?"
A low laugh escaped his lips as he looked at her, yet there was no humour in his tone. "I've saved so little in comparison to those I've killed. What right does a murderer have to be enraged when he is murdered? None. And so those who know people I've killed will naturally come and hunt me, and they will take the lives of those I'm close to if I'm not constantly careful. If we're being objective, I'm sick in the head, Rain doesn't deserve to be around a person like me."
Silence panned out through the room, Eubin's expression flashed with sadness and mild rage before quickly calming herself. "And we do? Do my sisters and I deserve to be around someone as 'lowly and odious' as yourself? We don't deserve to be treated poorly and yet we remain around you despite that. Do you know why?"
Sunny stared at her with an expression of confusion, not particularly knowing how to reply and so he said the first thing that came to his mind. "Because I'm useful?" Eubin deadpanned and then burst into laughter, her light giggles permeated through the silent kitchen for a few moments before staring solemnly at Sunny.
"Is it that hard to believe people care about you and not Lost from Light?"
A deafening silence ripped between the two for a moment, Sunny's compulsion to speak the truth didn't flare for even a moment as he deemed the question rhetorical. Raising a hand to his face, Sunny felt the wetness of tears streaming down his eyes as he smiled at Eubin. "Ah, I guess it was."

In the world, certain men had reached such heights of strength that their existence alone shifted the world around them. Noctis, Solvane, Sevirax, Mordret, Sunny and so many more were prime examples of such a fact. In their presence, it appeared like fate itself took their side, pressing it's invisible hands onto the shoulders of their foes and making them submit.
And yet, such a force took a different form when in Asterion's presence. His mere existence appeared both ethereal and supremely profane, like an entity who this world did not deserve and so the world rejected him with equal vigour.
As he walked out his room with a sword at his side and two steel gloves with retractable diamond tipped claws, donning his dark blue suit with a blue tie and a white shirt, looking into his eye alone felt like an impossible challenge that Nephis had to surpass.
Noctis and Solvane followed quietly at his back, Solvane expressing a slight smirk upon noticing Nephis while Noctis remained entirely indifferent to her presence. After all, the two had been paid heavily to work for Asterion, Noctis to a lesser extent but Solvane was there for a single reason.
Lost from Light.
Song's ultimate problem solver and the undisputed power pinnacle of the world they lived in, she had never seen such a man in person and dearly awaited such an experience with baited breathe. Such a fact sickened Nephis to her very core as she finally overcame the pressure and met Asterion's eyes.
He had his arm outstretched, ready to shake her hand as she tentatively grabbed it. 'I can already feel it, he's impossible to throw.' Nephis thought as he shook her hand gently, the very feeling of his cold, smooth skin sickened her to the core. It was almost like touching the flesh of a dead man.
"Ah, you must be the Changing Star who I've heard so much about. Tied second in Orion's colosseum only below Lost from Light? How wonderful it is to finally meet you." Just like his presence, his voice felt like it didn't belong to a human, sickeningly sweet yet painfully insidious.
"Yes, I hope I can be of service to you today." Nephis replied, her posture not giving away her hidden rage at Noctis and Solvane as the man walked past her without sparing her a passing glance. Nephis quickly found her position behind Noctis and Solvane, staring at their backs as she analysed the guards of the other two family heads.
To her right was Anvil, surrounded by Gilead, Tyris and a third unknown individual with darkened hair standing next to her. On her right was Ki Song, staring at the two impassively as a woman who looked oddly similar to her stood behind her.
'Moonveil.' Nephis thought to herself, her eyes gliding over towards the next individual as she noticed Eubin chatting idly to a man of above average height. He had black hints in his pale white hair which was tied up firmly as he stood with folded arms listening intently to her advice on cooking.
But what caught her attention was the tattoo of a snake coiled around his arm. Her breathe hitched, the world around her seemed to stop, every background character fading idly into the distance as she focused entirely on the man before her with rapt attention.
"Sunny?"
