Chapter 2: Checking Into the Hotel

"Thank you, Butler Wang."

With a shy smile, Ling Olivia didn't mind the disdain in Wang Fu's eyes. She was a kind and understanding girl, always remembering her mother's stories about repaying animosity with virtue.

At the moment, she was just nervous, worried she might say something wrong. Thankfully, one of the men in black on the plane had already informed her of the identity of the person meeting her.

"Hmm, get in the car."

Wang Fu nodded and turned in the cold wind, his slender frame exuding a calm strength. Despite wearing light clothing, his posture displayed composure and dignity.

Ling Olivia hurried to follow.

Once inside the car, she found herself seated next to a stern-looking man in black, sitting upright and silent.

"I've arranged a hotel for you. Tomorrow morning, someone will pick you up to attend the school's opening ceremony," Wang Fu said from the front passenger seat.

"Okay," Ling Olivia nodded but soon felt something amiss.

Her duties weren't just to attend school as a companion; she was also supposed to stay by the young master's side and care for him. Was the young master staying at the hotel too?

"Butler Wang, will I be staying at the hotel permanently?"

After much deliberation, Ling Olivia couldn't help but ask.

"After tonight, you'll stay at the Leng residence, accompanying the second young master. The auspicious timing hasn't arrived yet. When the time comes, you'll meet him. Don't concern yourself with unnecessary matters. Just focus on doing your assigned tasks properly," Wang Fu replied coldly.

Ling Olivia nodded earnestly. After murmuring a soft "okay," she sat quietly.

The car fell into silence. Before long, it stopped abruptly. Through the window, Ling Olivia saw a platinum five-star hotel, illuminated with colorful lights against the night sky.

Wang Fu didn't get out. Instead, the man in black beside Ling Olivia led her out of the car.

After explaining the next day's schedule and arrangements, the man in black left without hesitation. Ling Olivia was left standing in the luxurious presidential suite, wide-eyed and stunned, unable to process her surroundings.

Ling Olivia had never seen such a spacious, extravagant room in her life. It was so grand it felt like a dream!

Curiosity led her to explore every corner of the suite. However, many of the high-tech gadgets baffled her, and after fiddling around, she finally collapsed in exhaustion and fell asleep.

Barely two hours later, the alarm clock she'd used for years woke her. Ling Olivia was diligent and disliked lazing in bed. After washing up quickly, she cautiously used the suite's desk phone.

Last night, she'd asked the man in black, who told her she could use this phone to call home and let her family know she was safe.

The phone rang for a long time before someone lazily picked up. Hearing the familiar "Hello?" Ling Olivia broke into a warm smile.

"Weiwei, don't be lazy. Time to get up!"

A thunderous yell echoed on the other end after several seconds.

"Jie!"

"Weiwei, I've safely arrived. I'll call and write whenever I can. Take good care of yourself, okay?"

The sisters chatted for a while until a knock on the door interrupted them. Reluctantly, Ling Olivia hung up.

Two hotel staff members stood at the door, pushing in a cart laden with various breakfast items. Alongside the food was a beautifully tailored school uniform with a red-and-black plaid pattern and the emblem of Yingsheng Academy, a prestigious aristocratic school.

An hour later, a black Mercedes pulled up to the hotel entrance. Ling Olivia, now dressed in the elegant uniform, her simple demeanor radiating innocence, was escorted to her next destination.
