Chapter 21 - Reason Behind Suppression

The office room's atmosphere went completely silent.

It was to the point that one could possibly hear a mosquito buzzing around—if they could even make it to the room.

"Hey, Old Bone, do keep your nutrients stored in a good place. Apparently, it can't be used yet." Ye Ming called out to a sulking old man by the corner.

At this point, the Elder Dragon wanted to stomp the ground and call it quits.

'Screw this crap! What kind of freedom was this?' He cursed silently.

"Oy, don't sulk too much. I permit you to roam around once you finish storing the things." Ye Ming suddenly said, causing the Elder Dragon to pause for a second.

Like a little child, he turned around and glanced at Ye Ming with a coy expression. "Roam around? How far the distance can I travel?"

"You can descend to other worlds if you want. As long as you don't make a mess or cause trouble, you're free to do whatever. Heck it, you can find your old flame and enjoy a lovely night."

Having heard that, the Elder Dragon felt as if he was already enjoying that moment physically.

"Rest assured, Young Master. I'll make sure they're in perfect condition and set up multiple protection. Anyone other than you or with your permission dared to step foot in it shall be blasted." It was as if he had been completely revitalized, the Elder Dragon appeared energized.

Just as he was about to make his exit, Ye Ming still decided to tease him a little.

"Is my mother going to be blasted as well?" He asked cheekily.

Instantly, the Elder Dragon lost his footing and fell flat on the ground with his face. For a Beyond Creation Realm to stumble and fall to the ground was an utter embarrassment.

However, anyone would have fallen flat to the face if they were accused of trying to blast Ye Qing Lei.

Without even bothering to react, the Elder Dragon stood up, patted his clothes, and left in a hurry.

Now that he was permitted to actually roam everywhere, including other worlds. He would capitalize on the opportunity and take advantage of the time granted.

Who knows when he would be called back?

With the Elder Dragon gone, Qing Lan, however, furrowed her brows and held a worried look.

"Is it going to be fine to let him roam freely?" She asked nervously. A Beyond Creation Realm being unshackled and allowed to descend to the lower world would pose a danger to the world itself.

After all, just one accidental powerful sneeze from them could easily annihilate the world. That was no exaggeration, but in fact, the cold hard truth.

It was the reason why whenever a high cultivation realm people descended to the lower world, they would have their cultivation restricted by the Heavenly Dao.

The reason behind it was to prevent an accidental disaster like that. With their full power, the Heavenly Dao would have been in despair if the world they oversee got annihilated because of a sudden sneeze.

"There's been records of numerous incidents about powerful cultivators accidentally destroying the world. Hence, their cultivation is always suppressed to the maximum limit of the world that the Heavenly Dao could endure." Qing Lan explained.

"Relax, did you forget we have a contract." Ye Ming chuckled and naturally understood where her worries came from.

Although there were billions of worlds, accidentally having them destroyed would harm the living. Not to mention, it would bring a lot of chaos to the order of the universe.

To make things easier to understand.

Let's say some of the world has advanced far enough to know some other world exists. Resources remained scarce no matter the level, so it was necessary to constantly compete for them.

They were neck in neck on the power balance scale. But suddenly, a powerful cultivator from above them, swoop in and destroyed one of the world. The world itself might be destroyed, but who was to say that the natives of that world didn't survive and continued to live?

However, it wouldn't matter because their opposing rival of another world would have taken advantage and enslaved them.

As for the culprit, they remained unscathed or even nonchalant by the situation because… they're overpowered.

Why would they care about those weaker than them?

"Young Master, that's not my point." Qing Lan seemed to have perceived his thought and shook her head.

"The Young Master only knows about the disaster caused by the powerful cultivator, but not the aftermath."

"Aftermath?" Confused, Ye Ming raised an eyebrow. "Wasn't it just the world being left in a mess and getting a hostile takeover?"

"That would have been the case 7,000 years ago." Qing Lan calmly said.

"When the Young Master abruptly left, the world became chaotic because you no longer oversee it. And the Madam was in a foul mood as well, so any powerful cultivator responsible for the destruction of a world. They would be captured and sent to the Madam for divine punishment. The cultivator not only lost their life but even their soul and chance to reincarnate was obliterated." She added.

In hindsight, those so-called powerful cultivators experienced True Death.

"Sheesh, no wonder people feared my mother." Ye Ming tried to whistle but failed. His attempt to whistle was quite comical—nearly causing Qing Lan to let out a giggle but couldn't due to the serious conversation.

His mouth was forming a very tiny "o" shape as he tried to blow out to create the sound. Alas, the sound was so terrible that Ye Ming gave up in the end.

"Anyway, are you worried my mother might punish Old Bone?" He cleared his throat and asked.

Qing Lan shook her head. "No, I'm worried that the elders might raise a ruckus about the Young Master's conduct."

"The elders?" Upon hearing the word elders again, Ye Ming's expression suddenly turned cold.

"Right, I was so used to calling the Elder Dragon as Old Bone because I despised the term Elder. Thank you, Qing Lan, for reminding me that I still need to do some sweeping in the house."
