Looking at her sisters battered body lying on the hospital bed, her mother and father sobbing to the side, Chen Xio-Rui feels an anger surge through her like she has never felt before. She had warned her parents not to agree to her twin, Chen Roujin marrying the psychotic son of the Fu family, Fu Beichen, no one realising the hell that awaited Roujin. The twins were polar opposites growing up, whilst Roujin took to the high society life of China, Xio-Rui was more for the peaceful and thrilling life. She didn't like conforming to the rules and regulations that came with being a eldest daughter and she knew from a young age that Roujin was the one that deserved the title. She never missed a piano lesson or ballet lesson, then their was the elocution lessons along with many more. Xio-Rui however, would sneak off to learn things that she thought would benefit her more in life than learning how to play Beethoven. When Xio-Rui was twelve she moved to the golden mountains with her grandfather and learned skills that made her a self made billionaire to this day.
As she looks at Roujin's still body, she can't help feel like she may have underestimated the true extent to Beichen's evilness. One thing is for sure she is going to make him pay along with everyone else. She looks to her parents devastated faces as she sits beside her sisters bed.
"How long has he been doing this?" Her father looks at her and when she sees the look of guilt flash across his eyes a snarl breaks through her plump lips. No words needing to be spoken as to how long her sister has been suffering.
"Xio we wanted to contact you from the first time but Roujin had made excuses. Over the last year the beatings have gotten worse. Plus the girl that Beichen apparently loves returned and made out your sister was hurting her out of jealousy."
Xio-Rui takes out her phone and dials her personal assistant's number. She wants information on these people and she wants it now. As she tells Min-su to bring her laptop she starts forming a plan in her head. Her parents look at her and see a dark look cloud over her brown eyes, the look they know all to well. Someone is about to pay for what they have done and one things for sure it isn't going to be pretty.
The door to the hospital room opens and Min-Su walks in dressed head to toe in black, the Chen parents, Jihan and Chaeann, know that those that work for their daughter closely all wear black, they once asked her why and she simply replied 'it is a need to know basis'. Her father swears blind it is to cover up the look of blood. He knows that his daughter has a somewhat dark side to her job one that the judicial system in China are well aware of and none of them bat an eye at for she is on their side and helping those that don't hold power. It is a well known fact that if you have the money you can buy your way out of anything. It is one of the reasons why Roujin never pressed charges against Beichen because he would get away with it and the beating she would get after it would probably be the end of her life.
The Fu family were just as scared of Beichen and were secretly glad that Roujin was taking the brunt of his aggression. They will be added to the list because in Xio-Rui eyes they were just as guilty.
"Are our people still in the house?"
"Yes boss. They are ready to take action when needed."
"Roujin will be sent to the temple to receive treatment. Let them know that i will be going in as her and not to raise suspicion about my true identity."
Min-Su nods and gets to work on what she has to do, she knows her boss well enough to know that this is not going to be a quick job. She puts out a message through the elite team letting them know they are code black, the code that lets them know everything will be focused on one task. When she tells them the task the team start getting everything ready. Her parents watching as Xio-Rui is tapping away on her laptop her eyes scanning the information taking everything in that she needs to know. The door opens once more and four men dressed in lab coats walk in, her parents noticing the black clothes underneath. They bow to Xio-Rui and two of them start to sort out Roujin whilst the other two help Xio-Rui get into hospital clothes and make her face look like she has injuries underneath the banadges. A wheel chair is brought in and once the two girls have swapped clothes the four men disappear taking Roujin with them.
"Where are they taking her?"
"To the compound. The medical team are waiting and she will be safe their. You two have to play along with me being Roujin, I need to get evidence on Beichen for this to be legitimate. If you can't do it say now."
The two shake their heads, if it means protecting their daughter they will do whatever it takes. It is the least they can do for putting her in this situation.
"Boss he is here."
"Okay go and make sure everything is ready." She bows and quickly leaves the room whilst Xio-Rui starts putting on the leads that were once on her sister. She lays back and closes her eyes, her parents quickly acting sullen. Beichen walks into the room, his large frame immediately looking intimidating. He looks to Jihan and Chaeann nodding for them to leave him alone with his wife. They reluctantly leave, not sure whether he knows she is not Roujin. Once the two have left Beichen walks closer to her, his face getting into hers as he leans down and whispers lowly in her ear.
"You are mine Roujin. No matter what I do you can never leave me, it is you and me to the end.You just have to behave and not refuse me when I ask you to do something. You can do that right baby?"
Xio-Rui opens her eyes, the urge to kill him here and now nearly taking grip of her. Images of her sister in fear flashing through her mind. Beichen is nothing but scum in her eyes and he needs to see what it feels like. He needs to feel the fear that he instilled in her sister, the fear of not knowing whether or not today is going to be the last day that she gets to breathe.
As if sensing her eyes on him, Beichen sits up a little and those brown eyes that he loves to see every day are looking back at him. He moves his hand through her raven hair as she looks at him. Xio-Rui knows that he likes his ego being stroked, for him having someone to be dependent on him. Time to play a game of revenge.
She raises her hand to his cheek, Beichen looking at her with slight hope.
"You won't leave me will you. It is you and me till the end right? No one else can come between us?" She gives him a sullen look and Beichen lets out a sigh of relief. He smiles at her and nods his head, the look in his eyes one he has seen plenty of times. One of complete and utter psychosis. One thing is for sure this white moonlight of his is going to see just what it is like to be on the receiving end of his wrath. Some women see the money and the facade these men have outside and think they are amazing, however they don't see the demon lying beneath the surface. Xio-Rui will show her just what being with Beichen is like.
"Beichen, can i go home? If i stay here people may ask too many questions and i don't want you to get any bad press for my mistake."
"Really baby?, you want to come home"
Xio-Rui nods her head and Beichen instantly starts taking off the wires, he helps her out of bed before lifting her up into his arms and carrying her outside the room. The dr that was looking after Roujin walks over and Xio-Rui notices he gives her a worried look.
"I am taking my wife home, she has a phobia of hospitals. Sejin deal with the paper work."
Sejin, Beichens assistant nods before Beichen carries Xio-Rui out of the hospital, heading for his car. He gently places her inside getting in beside her, he pulls her close to him wanting to keep her by his side. The moment he first saw Roujin he knew she would be perfect for him, he followed her and became obsessed with the way she seemed pure and innocent. She reminded him of his friend from the mountains when he was a child who had saved him. The only thing is is that Roujin didn't love him, the thought of her loving someone else sending him into a fit of rage. Right now though it seems like his persistence has won out. The look in her eyes when she woke up the look that he had been waiting for. The look of pure dependency, dependency on him. Which is what he has always wanted so that she would never leave him. How could she leave the man that she depends on with her life?, how could she bare to life without him?. It is that look that makes him know that if he dies she would die straight after, the thought of a life without him in it for a moment being too much to bare.
The sound of his phone ringing has him reaching into his suit trouser pocket and pulling it out, Luna's name flashes on the screen and he feels Roujin move out of his embrace and sit further away from him. He gives her a questioning look and she rolls her eyes.
"Just answer it, I am sure it is important. Maybe her goldfish drowned and she needs you to console her and help arrange the funeral." Beichen feels his heart stop for a moment, Roujin being jealous is not something he is used to. Is it really possible? has she finally fallen in love with him? Is she finally his completely? He answers the phone his eyes trained on Roujin. When she mimics Luna talking on the other end of the phone he bites back a laugh. This side to Roujin is something that he finds amusing.
"Luna, I am busy."
"Beichen I don't feel so well. Can I stay with you tonight please? LIke old times"
Beichen grinds his teeth Luna pretending like they had some previous relationship getting to him. The only reason he went along with it was to get to Roujin's back up. As he is about to say no a thought crosses his mind. A plan to see how jealous Roujin actually is and whether or not she is his fully.
"I am on my way back now. Tell Aunt Lu to get the guest bedroom for you"
"Okay thank you Beichen" He ends the call and watches as Roujin lies her head back and closes her eyes, the anger evident on her face. It may be sadistic but this is pleasing Beichen in ways he never thought of. His beautiful wife finally sir-coming to his advances and finally loving him like he has loved her.
Sejin gets into the drivers side of Beichen's Rolls Royce his eyes flickering momentarily to Roujin's through the wind mirror, a sickening feeling filling his stomach. He had seen the abuse she has suffered at the hands of Beichen and had hoped this time she would find the courage to leave but the moment he saw her in his arms he knew that she had no plans of going anywhere. All Sejin can do is try and stop the abuse as much as he can, whilst getting the evidence to help her leave. A girl like Roujin not deserving the life she has with Beichen, she deserved the world and was given hell. The only reason he has stayed working for Beichen is for her, as he drives through the busy streets he keeps looking back. The split second she stares back at him he sees something in her eyes that he has never seen before. Darkness, a darkness that Beichen usually holds.
Has he finally done it? has the monster finally snapped the angel to the point she is unrecognisable?
That thought alone fills him with a sadness and grief he has never felt before, the innocence of Roujin washed away bit by bit like each blow to her body was a wave crashing against the jagged rocks at a bottom of a cliff. Something telling Sejin that the Roujin he knew a few days ago has long gone.
