Charlotte was now packing her stuff as fast as she could. She was determined to leave the mansion the night itself.
'Hmm… I think it'd be enough for me for weeks. Ofcourse I'll be able to find myself a part-time job with which I could sustain my needs…' She mused as finally zipped up the bag. Now her eyes laid over the hanging portrait of her family.
"I won't cry anymore… I can't. It'd be me who would decide my future; Not anyone else." She mumbled beneath her breath.
"..." A sudden knock on the door alerted her senses and in a hurry, she hid the bag under the bed while glancing back at the door, checking if it was still locked.
"Coming…" She uttered in a loud tone and rushed towards the door to not bring any unwanted attention.
"Sis! What took you so long?" Jacob asked as he swept past her into her room with a deep frown over his face.
