I gently pulled his long hair and continued, "You see, after taking so many steps, your hair only reaches your starting point. Of course, this spares the cleaners from having to sweep again, but if you want to turn around, aren't you afraid of stepping on your own hair? And if others pass by, they'll have to avoid treating your noble hair as a carpet."

"Hahaha..." He suddenly burst into laughter.

The hearty laughter was strikingly similar to Lionel's, but instead of feeling strange, it felt somewhat familiar.

Although he was a vampire, he made me feel at ease. There was no terrifying aura or malice about him, or perhaps he was just too good at hiding it. He also carried a sense of detachment, much like Hue, one born from having weathered the storms of time.

I also keenly sensed that within him, there was a powerful force, steering everything!
