A/N: Sorry for not updating, I caught quite a severe cold. I am fine now so the updates will be daily as always.

........

The night died out and the first ray of light fell on the now-destroyed mountain, the crater was shining like glass as the power of the last explosion made it an almost frictionless surface.

There were a few holes here and there that led to deeper caves in the mountains, silence lingered as no one was alive to witness this magnificent scene.

Inside one of the cave openings, you can see a narrow passage, if you enter it the other side is blocked by a large piece of stone.

On the opposite side of the stone, a body lay on the ground with piles of spiritual stones and a bag next to him.

Although he was unconscious his breath was vigorous and strong and each exhale made the dust fly off the ground.

Some of the spiritual stones in the piled had dimmed a little as they had lost some amount of spiritual energy.

Finally, after an hour and so, Yucheng opened his eyes and looked around. Feeling no pain in his body... not even the feeling of hunger he looked confused.

Then his eyes turned toward the piles of spiritual stones and saw some dimmer ones, he had some guesses in his mind as he lifted up his body and leaned against a nearby cave wall.

"Haaa, How long have I been out for?"

He asked particularly to nobody, and as he accepted no reply came, well he didn't need a reply anyway as being alive and happy was enough to make him plenty happy.

Still just to be sure he stood up, his head almost reaching the ceiling of the cave, taking off all his body he checked all the corners of his body.

Seeing no scar he released a breath of relief as he put his clothes on and sat down again. Although not physically he was mentally tired.

After all, even with all his experience being ganged up by hundreds of people was a first for him. Although if he had such an experience in his last life it would have been weird.

After a while, his eyes returned to calmness as all his emotions were hidden behind those deep blue eyes.

Stretching his muscles a little he stood up again and walked toward the pile of spiritual stones, taking out ten he put it in his pocket.

The last times incident increased his urgency and he desperately needed a way to get on the path to immortality. So he was going to implement his plans of bribing an outer disciple and getting started on his path.

Although it's an evil way from the looks of it, he had never questioned the morality of power but only the morality of the person.

After all who can say that a devil can't have the kindest of hearts?

In his last life as a businessman and politician he has seen too many types of people and his understanding of the nature of a person is one of the best.

After which he turned his attention to the bag his father had asked him to carry, thinking of that a helpless look appeared on his face.

After all, at first, he thought it was something important, but when he opened it he found only and piece of amber and some tattered book.

The amber was nothing special and it didn't react to spiritual stones in any way, so he concluded that it was just a rare piece of amber that was kept in a farmer's family as a heirloom.

He had also read every readable word of the tattered books to make sure that it wasn't a cultivation manual.

And to no one's surprise, these books turned out to be just some old storybook.

"Haa, well I guess I can use it to store sprit stones."

He muttered as he thought to make some use of the last thing his father gave him, after all even if this is his second life he still has accepted his father as his own.

With that thought in his mind, he bent down and picked up the bag, removing some dust from it he put his hands inside to take the amber and tattered books out.

As he put his hands inside, his hands touched something, it had the texture of fine silk and the shape of a pouch.

His emotions fluctuated, he knew something had happened and this would be either a disaster or an opportunity for him.

He wasn't happy for either, after all, there is no free pie in the world, especially a cultivation world. Although he acts like he needs a system, if he really got it he would be the most wary of it.

After all, asking for a system to lighten your own mood is fun and all, but if he really got it he would start to worry whose pawn will he be.

He closed his eyes and calmed his emotions, exhaling a deep breath he took out the pouch-shaped object from the bag.

Looking at it it was really a pouch, light brown in color with golden lines making a river pattern engraved in it.

It was just the size of a baseball, and except for some golds that were engraved it looked nothing special.

"Well, here goes nothing."

Saying that he used his other hand and tried to open the pouch.

"Hmmm"

He frowned a little as the pouch didn't open, putting more force he tried again but still got the same result.

Now using both hands he used all his force, his muscles burst out as veins started popping on his skin, he put so much force that his hands would have bent steel by now.

But there was no change in the pouch as if it wouldn't be affected by a change in the environment.

"I guess the one behind this is way beyond my strength level."

He muttered in a calm tone, although a little frustrated his mood didn't fluctuate that much. As for not having a way to open it.

Well if he really couldn't open it that just meant that he wasn't meant for it.

Looking at the bag on the ground he put his hands inside and took out the amber stone, although it looked ordinary since this pouch also came from the same bag they must be connected in some way.

"I wonder how our family is connected to the immortal cultivators."

He muttered as he bought the amber near the mouth of the pouch, it started to glow a red color as his guess was verified.

Yucheng looked calmly at the glowing amber stone, a feeling of something picking his hands came a a drop of his blood was smeared on the amber.

It started to glow with a golden pattern filled with spiritual energy as the amber turned to dust, a lay of golden light was created as it entered the pouch.

A feeling of connection came to Yucheng's mind as he could feel that he could open the pouch now.

So he turned the pouch upside down and opened its mouth, as if flood gates had been opened things started to fall out of the small pouch nonstop.

There were thousands upon thousands of spiritual stones, some even had a golden glow to them as just their presence increased the spiritual energy of the cave.

Although Yucheng couldn't sense spiritual energy he could still feel the change in the environment. After spiritual stones tens of so thick books fell, followed by jade-crafted pill bottles.

Finally, an emblem masterfully crafted fell down, it had images of immortal gates carved into its surface with gold.

A single sentence radiating with gentle blue light was written in the center of the emblem.

"Dao Walking Sect Inner Disciple"

Yucheng muttered as he bent down to pick it up from above the pile. Just looking at the emblem he made some wild guesses in his mind.

Thoughts that he in his previous life thought as childish also flowed but he didn't find them any weird.

As he thought of these changes, a sense of realization appeared in his mind and a smile bloomed on his face.

A smile that bloomed from the depth of his heart, a smile that he had only shown to his only loved one.. his adopted father.
