Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1- SUSPECT

Time: 2010

Place: A secluded FBI interrogation room, located in a high-security federal building in Washington D.C.

The room is sterile, minimalistic in design, with gray concrete walls that reflect the harsh, fluorescent lighting overhead. A one-way mirror covers an entire wall, where several FBI officers are watching the scene unfold. The only furniture in the room is a metal table, two chairs, and a single camera aimed at the young suspect.19-year-old boy, suspected of murder, sits in eerie silence, a calmness that defies the gravity of his situation. He is impeccably dressed in a black turtleneck beneath a sharp blazer, which rests over his shoulders, paired with tailored pants and a Casio watch, an aura of quiet sophistication surrounding him. His hair, messy yet controlled, is slightly longer on top, shorter on the sides. With pale skin and a composed demeanor, he gazes forward, betraying little emotion, a mystery wrapped in calm indifference

Agent Parker slams his hand on the metal table, his voice rising with fury.

Agent Parker:

"Tell me what we want to know! Now! I swear to God, you don't want to make this harder for yourself."

The boy remains silent, his lips slightly curled into a smirk. His hands rest casually on his lap, as if he were sitting in a park, not a room meant for unraveling secrets. Parker's frustration boils over, and in a moment of raw anger, he slaps the boy across the face with such force that it echoes in the room. The boy's head whips to the side, but he doesn't flinch. He just smiles, that same unsettling smile, as he slowly turns his gaze back toward Parker.

Agent Parker (gritting his teeth):

"Do you understand your condition now? Speak, or I'll beat you until your silence becomes a scream!"

The boy's smile widens slightly, but there's no fear in his eyes. Just a cold understanding of something that Parker cannot comprehend. He speaks in a calm, almost playful tone.

The Boy:

"So you know how I feel... interesting."

Agent Parker is confused, his face contorting as he struggles to decipher the boy's response.

Agent Parker (snarling):

"What the hell does that mean?"

Before the boy can respond, Agent Lawrence steps forward, placing a hand on Parker's shoulder. His voice is quiet but firm, attempting to defuse the tension.

Agent Lawrence:

"Sir, please... be calm. He's young. We can't do this."

Agent Lawrence moves toward the suspect, his posture less aggressive but still authoritative. He sits across from the boy and speaks softly, trying a different approach.

Agent Lawrence:

"Hey, tell me, what's the point of all this? Why make a scene? You don't realize how dangerous Parker is, do you?"

He reaches for a burger and coffee on the table, offering it to the boy as a peace offering, perhaps to coax him into speaking. The boy reaches out and grabs the food, his movements deliberate. He begins eating the burger slowly, savoring each bite, his eyes never leaving Lawrence. After finishing, he holds the cup of coffee with both hands, his fingers wrapped tightly around it. He starts drinking, his gaze drifting to the ceiling once more.

The Boy (murmuring):

"Cold shadows on the fractured glass,

Life is but a dying laugh.

Hollow hearts in silent streams,

Chasing echo, chasing dreams.

Fingers reach for empty skies,

Lips are sealed, no more lies."

He repeats lines over and over, each iteration deeper than the last, as if the words are a mantra of despair that only he truly understands. Agent Lawrence listens, trying to make sense of the cryptic verse, his brow furrowing in confusion.

Agent Lawrence (quietly, to himself):

"What is he saying...? What does it mean?"

Lawrence stands up, clearly unsettled by the boy's recitations. He returns to Agent Parker, who is standing by the one-way mirror, his fists clenched at his sides. The other officers in the room are watching through the glass, unsure of how to proceed.

Agent Lawrence (whispering):

"He's... repeating something. Something It's almost like... a riddle, but I can't figure it out."

Suddenly, an officer bursts into the room, delivering urgent news.

Officer:

"Sir, there's been a break-in at the Mayor's house. Robbers have taken the Mayor and his family hostage. The situation is critical."

Agent Parker's expression hardens. He glances at the monitor on the wall, which is displaying a live news feed from outside the Mayor's residence. The camera zooms in on the front door of the house, where armed robbers are seen standing guard. Media trucks are gathered outside, cameras flashing, capturing every moment of the developing crisis.

Character Description:

1. FBI Officer 1 (Name: Agent Parker - Age: 35)

Agent Parker has a square jaw, his face tight with impatience. His eyes, though dark, are sharp and calculating, a feature that has served him well in his many years in law enforcement. His hair is cropped short, streaked with gray at the temples. His broad shoulders and imposing stature make him appear like a wall of anger and authority, yet his fury now feels uncontrolled. He wears the standard black suit of an FBI agent, though his tie is slightly loosened—an indication of his mounting frustration. He glares at the suspect, veins visible under the skin of his neck.

2. FBI Officer 2 (Name: Agent Lawrence - Age: 29)

Agent Lawrence is more youthful, his sharp blue eyes betraying a calm demeanor in contrast to his older counterpart. His suit is impeccable, his posture rigid but empathetic, always ready to deescalate a situation. He has been with the FBI for only five years, but his experience with psychological profiling makes him invaluable in moments

like this. Despite his outward serenity, his grip on the folder in his hand tightens with every passing moment of silence from the suspect.
