Chapter 7 - Blood and Moonlight

Days pass, and as Jisso spends more time around Subaru, Rai, and Kanata, she learns bits and pieces about their lives. She discovers that they're brothers and that they shared a mysterious bond with her late father, though none of them seem keen to share details. There's an unspoken tension between them and the villa, as if they, too, are bound to it in some inexplicable way.

One night, the full moon casts an eerie glow over the villa, and Jisso finds herself restless. Memories of her father and the strange, fragmented visions swirl in her mind, filling her with unease. She gets up from the couch and steps onto the balcony connected to her room, hoping the fresh air will clear her thoughts.

As she gazes up at the silver moon, a sudden gust of wind whips around her, rustling the leaves and stirring the shadows below.

*Jisso*: "The nights are so cold here…"

Suddenly, her eyes catch movement in the garden below. Her gaze sharpens as she spots the three brothers, standing in the moonlight. Her heart stops as she sees them hunched over a lifeless deer, each of them drinking from it, their expressions fierce and hungry, blood staining their lips. Her blood turns to ice, and an involuntary scream escapes her.

At her scream, the brothers snap their heads up, their piercing gazes locking onto her as she stumbles backward, slamming the door shut.

In her room, Jisso paces, clutching her head in disbelief.

*Jisso*: "H-how is this possible…"

Kanata's words echo in her mind: *"Just thinking about how fragile you humans are…"*

A chilling realization dawns on her, filling her with both terror and awe.

*Jisso*: "Could it be… are they… vampires?"

In the garden, Rai wipes his mouth, a smirk curling on his lips as he glances up at her darkened window.

*Rai*: "Well, well, how are we going to explain that to her?"

*Subaru* (his tone stern): "Rai, control your thirst. We can't hurt her."

*Kanata*: "Why not? We could if we wanted."

*Subaru* (casting a sharp look at Kanata): "Because Jisso is the rightful owner of this villa. If anything happens to her, we're all going to be dragged down with her. Understand?"

He pauses, his tone dropping to a deadly seriousness. *"Now, stop wasting time here and come. We need to go up and explain ourselves to her before she runs."*

The brothers exchange glances, and even Rai's usual smirk fades as they gather themselves, readying for the confrontation ahead.

Suddenly, there's a knock on her door, loud and insistent.

*Subaru*: "Jisso, open the door. We need to tell you something."

*Rai* (with a teasing tone): "Yeah, hurry up and open it, or I'll have to suck your—"

*Subaru* (cutting him off, sternly): "Jisso, open the door, or I'll have to break it down."

Inside, Jisso clutches her knees, backing away from the door as tears run down her face. Her voice trembles as she responds.

*Jisso* (crying): "I won't open it! You're monsters... I've been staying here with *monsters!*"

Her voice falters, but she continues with newfound resolve. "I'm not staying here for one more minute!"

*Kanata* (his voice softer, almost pleading): "Listen, Jisso… we're not monsters. We're just… vempires." His tone holds a note of sympathy, almost as if he's trying to comfort her.

*Subaru* (calmer, yet firm): "Jisso, Kanata's right. Please… trust me. We'd never harm you. I promise."

After a tense silence, Jisso slowly approaches the door, her fingers hovering over the handle as she gathers the courage to let them in. Finally, she unlocks the door and steps back, allowing the three brothers to enter. As they step inside, they see her standing there, visibly shaken, her eyes filled with both fear and confusion.

*Jisso*: "Why didn't you tell me?" Her voice is strained, hurt, yet desperate for answers.

*Rai* (sighing): "We thought… if you knew, it might be too much for you to handle. We didn't want you to be afraid."

*Subaru*: "Rai's right." He steps forward, his gaze steady, though his voice softens. "We were only trying to protect you. Please believe us, Jisso."

Jisso lowers her head, fighting back fresh tears, as she tries to understand the strange reality she's suddenly found herself in. The room falls silent, each of them standing in the quiet tension, waiting for her response.
