I open my eyes to a bright sunlight coursing through my window. Birds chirping, and the coldness of the mourning.
At the same time, my senses expand. Reaching far and wide; from the depths of the ocean to deep space. In less than a second I am aware of all that is happening in nearly the entire galaxy.
I get up from bed slowly and turn off the alarm clock that would start screaming in a couple of minutes 'I should probably get dressed before mom comes fussing'
Some spots around Earth tried shielding from me in futility. I broke through their defenses in an instant 'Hogwarts? I am in Harry Potter? Should I sign myself up to go? Should be interesting at least.'.
I finish getting properly dressed for school in only a couple of minutes. I made sure to make some changes to the regular outfit.
"Kevin, wake up before I get up there," the voice of Mom came from downstairs. I do not blame her ignorance of my stellar sense of time...that I just acquired this morning.
"I am already up," I shouted back at her with childish glee, joy apparent in my tone.

Delilah Andres was a 38-year-old divorced woman with 2 children in the 80s/90s. Not a position you would want to be in. She had to work since the alimony wasn't much at all and take care of two boys at the same time.
Soon, her eldest son, which is not saying much since he is only 11, came downstairs, yet this morning, he was dressed...oddly.

His dark brown hair seemed to have suddenly become pitch black as well as his eyes. He wore the same school uniform as usual, with two noticeable differences.
In his hand was a blueish-black book that shined faintly. In his right eye a monocle made from glimmering crystals unfit for a child yet somehow seemed perfect on him.
"Where did you get that?" Delilah asked with concern "Did you steal it?"
Such concerns were warranted, after all, where could he have gotten it from? That thing looked expensive.
Seemingly unbothered, Kevin smiled gently and adjusted the monocle as he said, "What are you talking about, mother? I was born like this"
"Born?? What are yo-" Did this brat want to make fun of her? She will surely tea-.
"Yes, of course, forgive your poor mother, it seems like work has been getting to me, haha." Delilah laughed and went to pack some lunch food for Kevin.
Kevin's smile widened.
