In the middle of an unknown street, with only the dim light of the moon and the flames coming from the two wrecked cars illuminated the dark surroundings. If you would describe the whole area it would probably be described as a disaster.
However, this wasn't a deed of a natural disaster but all of this mess came from Wu Xiuxin. Hereafter knowing that numerous men trailed her and started showering her with bullets, with no hesitation prompts her to face them.
She tried in losing them but her patience was tested, didn't even think twice to instantly turn her car to their direction, and decided to blow up both of the cars without thinking it might end her life.
While the car was running towards the other, she slowly opened the driver's door and rolled out.
Wu Xiuxin perceived how the collision turned out bad, making her satisfied. The fire instantly brightened the whole dark place temporarily making her eyes squinted and raising her hand to cover her from the debris.
Few people from the inside of the trailing car had survived, making them jump out instantly, realizing it would crash them off after a few seconds.
Despite it, she still wore her stoic calm expression. She then took her gun out from her holster, clutching it confidently and stood.
From a distance, she could clearly spot men in a white and black suits.
Those were the people who had an intention to capture or kill her the last few weeks and now they're back to keep pestering her around.
Gunshots echoed in the night. She swiftly moved to avoid the rapid bullets.
One after another, whatever grasped her eyes moving, she pulled the trigger. Six men were down and thought she successfully deplete all of them but one of them had survived who was basically catching up his breath.
Wu Xiuxin went near him and grasped his hair behind his back. His arm was covered with blood.
"Who sent you?" she demanded as she knelt down and grasped his hair aggressively. The man, barely able to breathe, cried out in pain.
"Arrghh! I—I don't know!"
"Tell me." Despite having fought an intense battle and killing multiple men in this unknown place, Wu Xiuxin's expression remained her stoic calm. Yet her voice carried a cold, authoritative edge.
"I'm telling you the truth!—"
The man couldn't even finish his sentence, paralyzed by fear, as Wu Xiuxin pressed the barrel against his head.
"I promise, I—I have no idea what you're asking!" he stammered. Every time she pretended to pull the trigger, his eyes squeezed shut in terror, his body trembling. "W—we were only told to kill you! That's it!"
Wu Xiuxin's patience wore thin. She pressed the gun harder against his head, her finger hovering over the trigger.
"P—please! S—spare me! I still have a daughter waiting at home!" the man pleaded, his voice breaking, making her pause momentarily.
But as Wu Xiuxin hesitated, the man sneaked his free hand into his pocket, searching for his swiss knife. She was too preoccupied with his words to notice.
When he finally gripped the weapon, he twisted it expertly and lunged at her. The sudden attack caused her to drop the gun to the ground.
Wu Xiuxin immediately snapped back to her senses.
The man stood quickly, blocking her from reaching her weapon. He raised the sharp edge of his knife, his stance signaling that he was ready for a fight. Confidence gleamed in his bloodied eyes, as if he believed he could overpower her now.
The gun lay near him, and with a swift movement of his foot, he dragged it closer without taking his eyes off her, maintaining his defensive posture.
When he finally took the gun, a smirk played across his bloodied lips and shoved his knife. "Looks like the tables have turned," he sneered, raising the weapon and aiming it squarely at Wu Xiuxin's chest.
But she didn't flinch. Her cold, piercing eyes bore into him, sending a chill down his spine.
The confident facade he wore cracked as he realized she wasn't trembling, wasn't pleading. Instead, she moved her hand slowly to her waist, where a small, concealed blade gleamed under the flickering moonlight.
"You think you've won?" she said, her voice calm, almost mocking. "Men like you never do. You never know me."
The man became apprehensive and without hesitation pulled the trigger and it shot on her shoulder. Although she screamed in pain she didn't pay any attention to it and in one fluid motion, she hurled the knife straight at him. It found its mark, sinking deep into his shoulder, forcing him to drop the gun as he screamed in pain.
The blood dripped on his shoulder making her more aggressive once again. She didn't stop. She lunged forward, her movements swift and precise, like a predator pouncing on its prey.
Before he could even react, she slammed him against the wrecked car, pinning him there with her arm across his throat.
It was as if her vision became blurred and her movement was only relying on its own without her knowledge.
An image of an unknown scenario keeps on replaying in her head but she couldn't decipher it.
Although she already overcame it earlier but now that she was getting mad at this guy it came back.
The man gasped, blood trickling from his shoulder and mouth.
"I told you I didn't know what you're asking—"
The man repeatedly pleaded and couldn't properly speak when his blood kept spurting out of his mouth. Even though Wu Xiuxin was so done asking him about their ambush, he intuitively pleaded out of fear.
But what thrilled him the most was her stoic expression as though he knows he's at the brink of his death.
With one final, brutal twist of her arm, the man's body went limp and slumped to the ground.
She couldn't handle herself anymore but another scenario flashed in her head once again, leaving her to scream uncontrollably.
"Enough! That's enough!" Her scream kept repeating numerous times while grabbing her hair.
With no one stopping her, she keeps on hitting the guy with her foot, blood drips from his head down to his face until it becomes hardly recognized.
She was like a psycho who wants to kill people without mercy.
The man became unconscious but that was when she realized what she did.
She snapped back to reality and scanned her eyes around her surroundings and to her hand gripping with her weapon covered with blood.
She realized the opportunity to answer her question was wasted.
