Chapter 8 - Chapter 8- Helping a friend

Star City

John Constantine got out of the elevator with Oliver Queen as it opened, both of them walking into the Team Arrow lair, and this was the second time Constantine had been here.

Looking around at the lair, Constantine quipped. "Didn't say it last time but mine's better."

He then turned to see Sara Lance, Laurel Lance, Thea Queen, Felicity Smoak and John Diggle all standing there, having anticipated him.

"I'm not bringing a peacock feather again", Felicity said with a raised finger as he snickered.

"Good to see you too, pet", Constantine shrugged as she sputtered.

"I can say the same", Thea told Constantine with a sultry look as Oliver sighed and groaned.

"You brought me back, didn't you?" Sara asked Constantine.

"I did, luv", Constantine confirmed.

"Thank you."

"No problem."

He turned to face all of them, looking around. "So now, the exact reason for calling me, because I am sure something really bad has happened if my expertise is needed."

"Just don't do anything too weird", Diggle requested the conman.

"If you don't want to see it, feel free to let the door hit your arse on the way out", John shrugged as Diggle sputtered now.

"Constantine, my son was taken by Damien Darkh, and I think you can find him", Oliver begged Constantine, who simply nodded, as he could see the desperation in Oliver's eyes to find his son. "This is his mother, Samantha." Samantha Clayton stepped forth as Oliver made introductions. "Samantha, this is John Constantine, he is a powerful magician."

"Occasional dabbler actually, luv", Constantine shrugged.

"Really? You can do magic?" Samantha asked.

"I was dead and came back to life feral, I'm normal because of him", Sara said with a shrug as Samantha's jaw dropped at how much she really did not know yet.

"How can you help me find my son?" Samantha asked as Constantine walked to the display containing suits, and took out one of Oliver's arrows from his quiver.

He then walked back to the group and said to Oliver. "Hold out you hand to me."

Oliver did as John pricked it with the arrow, getting a slight wince, then he turned to Samantha. "You too, luv."

Samantha didn't even hesitate and held out her hand, and so Constantine pricked that too, as Samantha gasped a little.

Constantine then did a motion with his hand as a map of Star City flew out and onto the table there. "Put your hands on the map."

Oliver and Samantha exchanged a look, then did as told, putting their bleeding hands on the map as Constantine grasped their hands and chanted. "Sanguinem eorum sumite, et invenietis ubi sanguis eorum sit."

The blood that was seeping onto the map from their hands glowed now as the lights flickered and the lair shook.

"Think it was creepier last time", Laurel whispered to the others.

"OLIVER!" Samantha screamed.

And then it was over as Constantine let go and both staggered back, Samantha falling down. Looking at the map, Constantine said. "I know where he is."

A while later, Oliver had his line towards Damien's place and he zipped down on it, Sara following him as both landed behind 2 HIVE soldiers.

Oliver smacked one with his bow and he fell as Oliver shot him while Sara trapped the other's neck in her bo-staff and killed him too.

The two lovers were a deadly duo of vigilante heroes and were proving it once again.

As two more arrived, Oliver shot them down swiftly before they could do a thing while Sara flipped and trapped a third one's neck between her feet, throwing him down and snapping his neck.

One more tried to strike but Diggle shot him down from above.

A door opened inside and both Thea and Laurel walked in via emergency stairs, some HIVE soldiers walking in their front, their backs to the two.

Thea nocked an arrow and managed to shoot one down as the rest turned. Laurel grabbed one's gun and then his collar, using him as a shield as she pushed him, the other two shooting him instead of her as she managed to push him off.

Thea decked one as Laurel struck the other one with her batons in a spin motion, and then Thea shot hers down as Laurel kicked her opponent to the wall, managing to daze him, and as he tried to attack again, Thea shot him as Laurel turned to her.

"You know, you should train better", Thea simply commented as Laurel sighed, knowing she was the least skilled of all the fighters in the team.

Damien stood in his room as the glass behind him shattered, and Oliver and Sara rolled in, Damien laughing at both.

"Ha ha ha! I wondered how long it would take for your buddy Oliver to drag you lot into this."

Damien turned to them, holding his drink and pacing as both stood up.

Oliver, his voice distorted, demanded. "Where's the boy?"

Damien put his drink away and shrugged calmly. "Oh, he's fine. I had him moved about two minutes before you two and your posse disturbed my evening in."

Oliver and Sara shared an angry look as Damien told Oliver. "You know what? You might want to learn to be a little bit more discreet like your girlfriend here. Have you considered black instead of green like she has?"

Oliver growled in anger. "You tell me where you've taken him."

"Or what? You'll fire an arrow at me? I think we've seen that movie before. I win, you lose, rinse, repeat."

"This time, it's different."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, really", Sara said with a smirk as both jumped away and Damien was hit telekinetically, being sent to the wall as John Constantine stood there, holding out his hand.

"Oh ho ho, John Constantine the conman, you are their source now?" Damien demanded with a laugh as he waved his hand and managed to free himself. He looked at Oliver and Sara. "You two have some very interesting friends."

Damien then held out his hand and trapped Constantine telekinetically while tossing Oliver and Sara away, and brought Constantine towards himself, trying to absorb his life-force.

Then suddenly Damien gasped and staggered back, letting Constantine free, and coughed up black blood while falling to his knees, feeling weakened.

The Demon-affected blood due to when Pazuzu was in Constantine was having a horrible effect on Damien due to trying to absorb his life force.

"What's wrong there Damo?" John snipped as Damien staggered back to his feet. "Am I too much for you?"

He threw a right hook to Damien's face, making the dark sorcerer fall over on to his back as Oliver and Sara picked themselves back up.

"Hoc magus est fons virtutis ad me voca."

Damien's Khushu idol flew out and Constantine grasped it, absorbing the magic within until the idol shattered and Damien screamed, losing all of his power.

"Now, the boy I will find, and you-" Constantine chanted. "Aperi infernum et trahe hunc obscurum et malum peccatorem intus ad puniendum pro omnibus peccatis suis malis."

His eyes glowed red now while he held out his hand which glowed with flames as a portal opened underneath Damien, hands coming out of it as they grabbed him from everywhere, his legs and his hands.

Thea and Laurel came in as well in that moment, witnessing the sight as Damien screamed in pain and agony, feeling burnt already, and was then dragged down into Hell by the hands as the portal closed, Constantine coming back to normal.

Laurel asked first. "Did you just-"

"Yes."

The conman then turned to Oliver and Sara, as they were the leader and second-in-command respectively, so their opinions were the only ones that mattered in this scenario. "He's not just another looney to throw away with the rest of the sods you've locked up. Damien Darhk is centuries old, with resources and connections more numerous than you can imagine. Let's also not forget that the man is a bloody sorcerer, he may have lost the idol but magicians always have another trick up their sleeve. A human prison is a playground for the likes of him."

Oliver nodded. "You're right, he needed to go."

"Thanks for the help, John", Sara added.

"Now I'll find your boy and be on my merry way."

And find the boy he did, with Damien gone it was even easier, and now it was much easier to defeat HIVE as well as Damien was the most powerful board member (literally due to his magic) and with him gone, they wouldn't be able to stand for long, as now they were just another big organization, the likes of which had been dealt with before.

Constantine took the thanks of both Oliver and Samantha, and was now back in Hogwarts as he walked to the castle, only to see Umbridge glaring at him, along with some old git, the Minister of Magic! And two more people.

"What's the matter, wankers?" Constantine inquired.

"We have sacked Dumbledore because he hired a teacher as dangerous as you", Fudge immediately said, glaring at the conman alongside Umbridge. "We were taking him to Azkaban but he escaped."

"And?"

"You won't my dear", Umbridge sneered at him, as students and various teachers had gathered to witness the whole thing. "We know about Newcastle as well! What happened to that little girl Astra-"

"Don't say her name!" Constantine roared, and for the first time, the whole of Hogwarts had seen him angry.

"Why? Can't live with your shame in freedom? Don't worry, we'll take you to Azkaban where you can wallow in your grief, your carelessness cost a girl her life and now you're teaching so many children?" Fudge sneered at him. "You deserve to be there."

The black and broad-shouldered Wizard called Kingsley Shacklebolt looked at Constantine and gave him a wink and nod as Constantine realized Kingsley was on his side.

"So you're gonna take me then", Constantine asked in a dangerously calm tone, producing a little fire in his hands for just a second as all four pointed their wands at him while surrounding him, including Kingsley to maintain his cover.

"Let him go!" Harry screamed.

"Silence boy!" Fudge snarled at him.

"But he's a great teacher!" Ron argued.

"His methods are unapproved!" Umbridge snapped back.

"They work though", Hermione spoke from her end.

"You can't take him", Cho said as well. "He hasn't done anything illegal technically."

"Yes, there are no laws about Demons here", Neville added.

"So you have no grounds", Ginny said.

"Besides, I'm pretty sure this incident would not reflect well on the Ministry", Luna added cheekily.

"Silence! This is Ministry business! You are all children!" Fudge said angrily, the four wands still aimed at Constantine.

John shrugged. "I leave you sorry lot alone for a minute and the whole bloody country's gone mad."

"It is you who is mad, Mister", Umbridge sneered at him.

But there was a very dangerous glint in the conman's eye now as he smirked almost cruelly.

"Do you really think this is enough for me? I'm insulted." They all looked at each other nervously as John flashed his cocky smirk. "You wand waving wankers haven't been paying attention. I'm John Constantine. There's no one on Earth, Hell, or any other plane of existence who's dumb enough to fuck with me. Now, you're about to find out why."

And then there was a wind spell that threw them Umbridge, Kingsley and the other Auror back, Kingsley knowing he needed to be attacked to keep his cover, while Fudge cast a shield charm to protect himself, and managed to as John wasn't going all out yet. Umbridge staggered back up.

Then John then transmuted both of their wands into snakes that attacked them as they gasped in horror and screamed, the students watching and actually clapping at the sight as the snakes tied both Umbridge and Fudge, hissing at them, making them pale.

Then finally the wind turned into a hurricane surrounding John, and they could see him within, opening his lighter, then the hurricane ignited into a pillar of fire that reached up to the clouds, and when it dissipated, there was nothing left but ash and a note.

All of the students screamed happily and gave a standing ovation at this point, and even Draco had joined, though he was restrained compared to the rest.

The snakes turned back into wands as Umbridge and Fudge rushed to the note and picked it up-

'Anyone who has a problem with me staying can come to my office.'

"Oh the insolent fool", Umbridge sneered as she rushed towards the office with Fudge, Kingsley and the other Auror slowly following them.

In her anger, Umbridge forgot about the charm on the door and as she and Fudge rushed to it, both screamed as they were sucked into the other Dimension to fall for one hour.

Kingsley whispered to the other Auror. "He's got even more style than Dumbledore."

And so Constantine stayed, because the Ministry was nothing in front of him, but Umbridge wasn't going to let this go so all the students who had applauded, they had the punishment of writing this line 100 times- "I will not be a troublemaker again." With Black Quills!

Constantine then appeared in the area, glaring at Umbridge.

"Oh you cannot save the students here, Mr.", Umbridge sneered at him.

"Eh, we'll see", Constantine shrugged, then snapping his fingers, walked off, telling the students. "Write your lines so you remember it all."

The students were horrified he was just letting them be tortured as he walked off, and Umbridge gave a victorious smirk as all began writing.

Then suddenly Umbridge let out a high-pitched squeal as she looked at her hand, and it had been cut open, the line carved into her hand with her own blood.

The students realized what was going on and smirking, continued writing.

"NOOOO! STOP! PLEASE! AAARGG-" Umbridge's other hand was cut open too with the line carved.

"But we take our punishment seriously, Professor", Harry said to her cheekily.

"BUT-"

"Yes, if we do this, we will know not to misbehave again", Hermione added as they all continued writing lines.

"We are very sorry for our former misbehaviour, Professor", Ron added as all wrote lines and Umbridge screamed and cried, her whole body being carved with the line.

By the end of it, she was a pathetic, sobbing mess, with some students having even gone past 100.

"I think we get the point now", Luna flashed the sobbing Umbridge a smile.

"We will not do it again", Ginny said sarcastically, and with that, all the students filed out, leaving the pathetic and scarred woman sobbing on the ground in pure agony.
