Chapter 2
He jolted awake, the snug confines of his cozy bed beckoning him to embrace the day. Memories of yesterday's unsettling escapades flooded his mind, vibrant and electric, confirming they were anything but figments of his imagination.
With a big stretch that seemed to awaken every muscle in his body, a thinking and focused expression began to form on his face.
"Was it the wish?" Bruce thinks to himself.
He shuffled into the bathroom, feeling the cool tile sending shivers through his bare feet. After a quick, invigorating shower, he stepped out.
He figured out why he suddenly felt so deeply about protecting people. He basically had Batman's whole origin story, but he didn't seem to mind whether because of Batman's part or his own will, he would now always protect the innocent even if it kills him.
The refreshing taste of mint lingered on his lips from brushing his teeth with enthusiasm. A splash of cold water on his face felt like a burst of life: "Kill me.... like anyone could stop me now". He thinks to himself arrogantly, rejuvenating him and banishing any lingering doubts.
Stepping into his sunlit living room, warmth poured in through the large windows, filling the space with a golden glow—a perfect backdrop for the day ahead. He grabbed his trusty iPhone 7, a well-worn but dependable companion, and checked his bank account. When the numbers appeared on the screen, his heart raced—90 billion dollars!
"A substantial amount perfect for the mission," he says to himself. He dialed his boss's number.
"Hey, Henry," he said, his voice steady. "I just wanted to let you know—I won't be coming in anymore. I quit."
There was a pause on the other end before Henry responded, "Wait, what? You're serious?"
"Yeah, I'm serious. I feel like it's time for a change," he replied, ending the call with a sense of quiet resolve. "This was so I could move more freely; how could I prepare to be Batman with a 9-5? I would be too busy". Bruce says to himself leaving the living room. Preparing to leave, he goes to his room.
Dressed for exploration in a snug tan long-sleeved t-shirt, dark black jeans, a warm puffer jacket, and his trusty Air Jordan 1 Retros, he felt a comforting sense of purpose. Today's first order of business? Car shopping.
**At the Dealership**
As he wandered through the brightly illuminated dealership, the polished floors shimmered under the kaleidoscope of vibrant cars. Excitement buzzed in the air, mixed with the throaty growl of powerful engines. His gaze landed on a breathtaking sight: a sleek black 2011 Bugatti Veyron, its aerodynamic curves enchanting him like a dark jewel among common stones.
"Now that's something special," he muttered to himself.
"This will be my civilian car unfortunately I can't drive around in the Batmobile everywhere," he thinks to himself
A saleswoman with green eyes, red orangish hair, and a green dress that accents her curves approached, her smile wide. "Good morning! Interested in taking the Bugatti for a spin?"
"Yeah, I'd love to," he replied, his eyes steady and focused with a slight wandering eye(not that he'll admit it if u ask)
"Right this way, then!" she said, not noticing but still looking at his muscle chest, leading him to the car.
After a thrilling test drive filled with casual conversation and sunlit highways, they returned. "What's the price tag on this one?" he inquired, already envisioning himself behind the wheel.
"Just 2.5 million," she replied nonchalantly.
"Let's see what we can work out," he said, a relaxed smile on his face as they began to negotiate. After what felt like an eternity, a sense of achievement settled within him as he sealed the deal.
As the engine roared to life, vibrations coursed through him. The wind whipped through his hair, and a content grin spread across his face, the embodiment of true joy. "This is nice," he thought, appreciating the freedom of the open road.
With the thundering roar of the engine echoing in his ears, he began to plan his next grand adventure. A quiet idea sparked in his mind: creating his very own superhero hideout—a legendary bat cave—was next on his list!
**House Shopping…**
Fueled by anticipation, he made his way to an open house that he had looked into. It turned out to be a perfect cave deep underground for a sprawling manor nestled on the picturesque outskirts. As he crossed the threshold, he felt the weight of history envelop him, mingling with the fresh scent of polished wood and elegant furnishings.
"This place has character," he murmured, taking it all in.
"Well, that wraps up our tour! I didn't think anyone else was still here!" said the tour guide, her dark black hair -blue eyes sparkling with intrigue as she looked at him.
"Uh, sorry! I guess I arrived a bit late," he replied, scratching the back of his head, a slight smile on his lips.
"But I'm really interested in this manor. If it's still available, I'd like to move in as soon as I can," he said, his voice steady as images of transforming this house into a legendary hideout filled his mind.
"Um, sure! Just need you to sign a few things, and you'll be all set to move," the guide said, a surprise flickering across her face. "It's not every day someone expresses that kind of interest!"
"Really? That would be great for me then," he replied calmly. As she walked him to a quiet room in the manor, he envisioned all the possibilities.
After what felt like an eternity of paperwork and a few signatures, he emerged from the room with a sense of contentment. "I can't believe it. I'm now the proud owner of this sprawling manor, but this is only the beginning," he said quietly, with calm satisfaction.
"Congratulations! Not many people can say they own a manor at such a young age," the guide said, raising an eyebrow.
"This is just the beginning," he thought to himself, a smile hinting at the corners of his mouth as he began to envision the creations that awaited him.
In the context of home design, Bruce's living room exemplifies a blend of modern elegance and personalized decor. The space is enhanced by warm lighting from a nearby lamp, which creates an inviting atmosphere conducive to productivity. His workspace is organized, with notes laid out on the coffee table, hinting at ongoing projects that require careful thought and planning.
As Bruce engages with an online marketplace, he explores a variety of materials and tools essential for his innovative projects. This exploration is strategic, as each decision must prioritize strength, durability, and functionality to ensure the success of his designs. Bruce is aware that his unique magical abilities can enhance the capabilities of the materials he chooses, enabling him to push beyond the limitations often encountered in traditional craftsmanship.
One material that stands out to him is titanium alloy, known for its lightweight yet strong characteristics, making it suitable for ambitious projects. He appreciates its resistance to corrosion and stability at high temperatures, both of which are critical for his innovative designs. After careful consideration, Bruce confidently decides to incorporate titanium alloy into his inventory and places an order.
The cumulative cost of the selected materials, tools, computer components, and machinery totals $30,000. This investment reflects his confidence in the potential of his projects, which he believes could lead to significant advancements in his field. The anticipated delivery is scheduled for the next day, signifying the beginning of a new phase in his creative endeavors.
In preparation for the upcoming delivery, Bruce takes time to refine his magical skills. He ventures into his backyard, intent on the exploration of the medium-sized cave that is under his manor he intends to expand. Utilizing his abilities, he reshapes the rock to create a larger cave and six distinct islands.
"I need to train my magic more," Bruce said to himself. He could use magic, although the effort proved to be exhausting due to the challenge of manipulating a large terrain. Consequently, he decides to rest, ending his productive day in his new room.
