Oliver's P.O.V
"What does it mean to love someone?" I thought, with me walking down the street on my way to school. While walking down the street I looked in a window seeing my face. I had a mixture between blue and green eyes, but one eye was a brighter shade of blue than the other, my hair was black with the tips dyed red as I wore a black jacket, and a grey shirt, and black pants and shoes. Cars would drive past me as I sighed knowing that today would be a long day. I would rub my arm, rolling up my jacket sleeve, revealing a few bruises and some cut marks. "They really didn't hold back today…" A few memories of my parents beating me flashed through my mind as I noticed a few people looking at me, mostly my arm, so I just covered it back up. "I really should hurry up, I really can't be late on the first day.." I would start walking again going around a corner as someone walked up to me. "Hey Oliver!" I turned to see my 'friend'. I sighed and responded. "Oh hey Mark." Mark smiled, but it wasn't a friendly one, almost like he was expecting something. "So Oliver my friend, you know since it's a new school year…" He started as I knew where this was going so I reached into my pocket. "Yeah yeah I know." I pulled out my wallet, pulling out around two hundred dollars, handing it to him. He smirked a bit while taking the money. "Thanks you're a lifesaver, I promise I'll pay you back!" I sighed knowing that he would in fact not pay me back. Mark looked at his watch and acted like he had somewhere to be as he turned to face me saying. "Ah, Oliver, gotta run!" Mark smirked, clutching the money as he darted off, leaving me standing there, empty-handed as usual. My phone rang as I looked at it, seeing my boss call me. I sighed once again answering the call. "Yeah?" I said as my boss spoke. "We need you to come in, the original person for the shoot canceled on us." I groaned a bit knowing that if I do this I'll have to deal with my parents once I get home.
"How urgent is this shoot sir?" I asked hoping that it wasn't too urgent. "We have to get this shoot done by the end of the day." He paused as I heard him sigh. "Look I know today was your first day of school and I wouldn't ask unless I had to but you're the only one I can rely on." I just stood there, thinking for a few minutes before answering. "Ok fine, where's the shoot at?" My boss thanked me and gave me the address as I knew what was going to await me once I was home, but I knew I couldn't abandon my boss and co-workers. I started to walk away from the direction of the school rushing as fast as I could to the location of the shoot. It took about thirty minutes or so to get there since it was closer than I was expecting. I looked around seeing a few people here, that were either the staff or my co-workers for the shoot. I looked around not really caring but forced a fake smile as people greeted me. I tried my best to seem enthusiastic to be here, but in reality I really could care less. I walked up to my boss who turned to face me smiling a bit. "Oliver you're here, and just in time." he said as I could tell he was glad I showed up. "I knew I could count on you, you ready to start." I forced another fake smile as I nodded. "Of course let's get started!"
