Chapter 3 - Hall of Threads

The Hall of Threads was a building full of old magic. It was deep inside Orindale. The building was huge, made of marble and glass, and glowing runes were carved on its walls. People said the hall had a giant tapestry that showed the world's history and all its possible futures.

Kian and Nessa walked carefully toward it, remembering the shadow beast they had faced before. The air felt heavy with magic, and the ground made a quiet humming sound.

"Are you sure this is the place?" Kian asked as he looked at the big entrance.

Nessa nodded seriously, looking worried. "If the Veilkeepers are real, they're in here."

When they went inside, Kian couldn't believe how big the hall was. There were glowing threads everywhere—on the walls and ceiling—twisting and crossing in amazing patterns. In the middle of the room was a huge golden loom that shone even in the dim light.

But the hall wasn't perfect. There were cracks in the marble floor, and some threads were broken, hanging loose with no life in them.

"This place feels... wrong," Kian whispered.

Nessa walked up to the loom and touched the broken threads gently. "The balance is broken," she said softly. "The Void is getting in."

Kian was about to say something when a loud roar shook the hall. A giant shadow beast smashed through the far wall. It was bigger and scarier than the one they had fought before.

"Of course," Kian said, pulling out his dagger. "Why can't anything ever be simple?"

The beast ran at them, swinging its shadowy tentacles. Kian jumped out of the way while Nessa created a magic shield around the loom.

"Kian, keep it away from the threads!" she yelled, sounding desperate.

"Sure, no problem," Kian said sarcastically as he barely dodged another attack.

While they were fighting, the threads on the loom started glowing brighter, reacting to the chaos. A deep voice filled the hall: "The first Veilkeeper must awaken."

Kian froze for a second, shocked. He looked at Nessa, who was busy chanting a spell. "What does that mean?" he shouted.

Before Nessa could answer, the glowing threads started weaving together. They formed a bright, shining figure that stepped forward. The figure became solid, looking like a person, and its glowing eyes focused on Kian.

"You have been chosen," the figure said in a loud, echoing voice. "The Veilkeepers must rise."
