Leo's POV
I could feel the air flowing around me, and my clothes trying to fly up with the warm air around my body. I somehow knew I was falling, but my brain never comprehended it until I hit the hard, hard ground.
"What in the world," I mumbled as I slowly sat up.
There was a soreness in my body, but I wasn't in pain. In fact, I felt strong as if I could actually do things myself and take care of my younger sister again. A feeling I hadn't felt ever since I couldn't afford my treatment.
"Stella," I practically yelled as I stood up; I looked around the area concerned for my younger sister, as she was my only family.
I was in a normal neighborhood, but there was one house that stood out to me. It looked as though it was abandoned; well, at least the bottom area did.
The bottom floor had many panels and bricks chipping off, but the top floor looked exactly like all of the other houses; it was clean and put together.
"I and my father were two opposites," a girl said, walking up behind me.
I turned around to see a girl with dark brunette hair pulled back in a braid. She was wearing a pink t-shirt and jean shorts.
"Who are you, and where am I?" I asked, meeting the girl's soft brown eyes.
"Your name first," the girl said as I ran my hands through my dark curls.
"Leo Maximoff," I responded, looking up at the girl.
"As in Wanda Maximoff?" the girl asked, looking at me confused.
"She's my aunt; the Maximoff siblings were a set of triplets," I responded, looking at the girl with no name.
"Which is your parent?" the girl asked, looking at me softly.
"Ella," I responded.
She nodded her head, and then I asked, "My younger sister, Stella, is she okay?"
"I'm not sure," the girl responded, giving me an apologetic look.
"Okay," I whispered, looking down at the paved road I was standing on.
"Naomi Starlight, you're currently in Berkeley, West Virginia," the girl, Naomi, said, causing me to look up.
"What?" I asked, looking at the girl confusingly.
"You asked me for my name and where you are," Naomi said, smiling.
"Oh yeah," I responded, almost laughing at myself.
I could already tell this girl was going to be like a sister to me; I wasn't sure why; I just had that feeling.
"Come on, let's get you inside," Naomi said, leading me to the weird house.

November's POV
Just as I was about to pull to try to lift the magical hammer, my phone started to buzz in my pocket.
I sighed as I let go of the hammer and pulled my phone out to see Naomi calling me.
"Everything okay?" Stephen asked me.
I looked up at him and said, "Yeah, Naomi is just calling me."
He nodded his head, and then I answered the call.
As I put my phone up to my ear, I heard Naomi say, "Just a friend."
"Hello," I said into my phone.
"Hey, it's either you come to me or I come to you," Naomi said, confusing me.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"There was this guy on the street, and he came back from the dead. I would've called you tomorrow since you're probably busy right now, but he said his name is Leo Maximoff—" Naomi said it so fast that if she talked any faster, she would've had to repeat it.
"Did he say who his mom is?" I asked Naomi, looking over to meet Stephen's eyes.
"A girl named Ella Maximoff. Apparently they're triplets, or they were," Naomi said, trailing off.
"I know," I responded, "Get him here now."
"You sure?" Naomi asked.
"Yes, if he doesn't cooperate, tell him I know where his sister is, but only say that if he refuses to come," I said.
"Alright," Naomi said, "We'll be there in several hours."
"Okay, see you then," I said.
"See you then," Naomi said, hanging up the phone.
"Is everything okay?" Stephen asked, standing up.
"Yeah," I mumbled, calling Jeff.
"Everything okay?" Jeff asked when he answered the call.
"Get Stella to the training base now," I demanded into the phone.
"Why?" Jeff asked.
"Naomi is on her way with Leo," I said.
"Leo, as in her brother Leo?" Jeff asked.
"Yes," I responded.
"Okay, we'll be there soon," Jeff said, hanging up before I could respond.
"Who's Leo?" my dad asked, standing up.
"Ella Maximoff has three kids: the eldest, Leo, with Nick Fury; me; and the youngest, Stella, also with Nick Fury," I said, looking at my father. "Leo died from leukemia a year ago."
My dad nodded his head.
All of a sudden, an alarm started to go off over where all of the security radars were.
"What the hell," I mumbled as I rushed over to the area.
When I got over there, I saw that there was a plane not prohibited from flying over the training base or landing at it, flying closer and closer to our property. The plane was flying extremely fast, breaking the speed monitor on the radar.
I instantly pulled out my phone and called Jeff.
"Everything okay?" He answered almost as soon as I called.
"Don't you dare bring Stella or come here," I said into the phone.
"Why?" Jeff asked as I heard concern in his voice.
"Promise me you will do as I just said," I responded to his question.
"Okay, I promise," Jeff said, even more concern showing in his voice.
I was about to respond when the plane crashed into the training base.
I groaned in pain as I sat up. The training base was completely destroyed. I reached my hand up to the side of my head to feel a horrible amount of pain when I touched it.
I groaned in pain and quickly pulled my hand away from my head. I almost wanted to vomit when I saw the amount of blood on my hand.
I didn't hear or see anyone until I suddenly felt intense pain coming from my stomach. I looked down to see a pool of blood coming out of a bullet wound in my stomach.
I stood up as quickly as possible, and I turned around to see Nick Fury holding a gun and a lot of others standing behind him dressed exactly as the ones me and the Young Mice fought.
I saw Nick's lips moving, but I heard no sound come out of it.
Then all of the guards started charging at me.
I instantly conquered my purple mist and began to fight even though I was weak and possibly dying. I kept fighting knowing something beyond repair could happen if I didn't.
I wasn't sure how long I had been fighting, but it was a while, and I knew I was bleeding out, but I could not stop. Even though there was a chance the other Avengers were dead, there was also a chance they were alive, and so I fought for them even if it cost me my life.
Sometimes I would hear a gunshot if a person was closer to me, but other than that, I couldn't hear a thing.
Suddenly I felt a presence beside me, and I turned to see the person who looked after me fighting beside me.
Stephen looked beat up, but he was able to fight and wasn't bleeding out.
He said something to me, but I couldn't hear him. I turned to keep fighting, but he grabbed my wrist and said something, but I couldn't read his lips, so I pulled away and kept fighting.
After another moment of fighting, I turned to see my father run into the crowd to fight. I wanted to yell for him to stop, but I wasn't sure if I could.
Soon the entire team was fighting while the people who couldn't hid. People kept trying to talk to me, but I couldn't hear; after a while, they stopped trying to tell me whatever they were trying.
Soon my powers began to fail, and I couldn't sense many things coming my way when a knife just barely skimmed my neck.
I turned around to see Nick Fury, and I punched him on the nose.
He stumbled backwards, gripping his nose, when he suddenly punched me in my stomach, causing me to try to cry out from the pain.
Even though I'm Captain America's daughter, combat has never been my best skill.
Suddenly Fury shoved me onto the ground and started to kick me, but somehow I was able to find the strength to grab his ankle and flip him to where he was on the ground and I was on my feet.
I backed up, giving him the chance to stand up so that we could have a real fight.
Once he stood up, he threw a punch at me, but I was quicker, and I ducked and almost immediately threw a punch and jabbed him in the stomach.
He and I went on fighting with our fists and legs for a while until I punched him in the jaw hard, causing him to fall to the ground and drop his gun.
I was about to bend down and pick the gun up when my father ran over and picked me up.
He brought me to a ship that the rest of the team was running to; it must be one of ours.
When we got onto the ship and I was in a seat, everyone looked as though they were screaming and yelling, but I couldn't hear a thing.
"Dad," I whispered, using the little power I had to use my voice.
He turned around to look at me concerned, and I removed my hand from the spot on my stomach that Fury punched me at, the spot I was shot at.
I saw immediate worry come over my dad's face, and he called out to someone, most likely Stephen, for help, but for some reason I still couldn't hear a thing.
Stephen's and my dad came rushing over. My dad sat beside me and grabbed my hand while Stephen got a medical kit to patch me up. Then everything went black.

Steve's POV
I sighed as I looked at my only child lying in a hospital wing of the ship. Natasha's com didn't break, so as soon as she was able, she alerted S.H.I.E.L.D. of the situation, and they got there as fast as they could.
No one was sure how long Ember had been fighting, but it had been longer than I did, and I fought for over an hour.
I grabbed my daughter's hand, thinking about how, for some reason, she didn't hear through the COMS or the ship itself that it was there, so I ran to grab her away from Fury.
I didn't realize how badly she was injured until she said, Dad. I had turned around to see my daughter paler than the day that I came back, with blood rushing down the side of her head and stomach and many cuts all over her.
I immediately called Stephen over, and just as he was coming to help, she blacked out and hasn't been awake since.
After she blacked out, she was taken for thirteen surgeries to keep her alive, and now I had to wait for her to wake up to see if my daughter would be okay.
"I'm so, so sorry," I whispered, tightening my grip on her hand. "I should have listened to you that day, but I didn't, and now here I am at your bedside, not knowing if you're going to be okay for the 2nd time in two months."
"She's going to be okay, Steve," Bucky said, walking into the room and sitting beside me.
"I know I just can't help but worry," I responded, looking over at my best friend, who became my brother after years of friendship.
"I know," he responded, looking down at the child he helped me raise.
Suddenly November groaned.
"Ember," I whispered, letting go of her hand.
"What the fuck?" She whispered hoarsely as her eyes opened.
"Your dad doesn't like that language, little train," Bucky said, causing me to whack him on the head.
Ember tried to sit up but groaned in pain at the motion.
"Careful," I whispered, grabbing the cup of water on her bedside and giving it to her.
"Ember?" Bucky asked, but the girl didn't turn his way.
"Something's wrong," I said, turning to look over at Buck. "She can't hear us."
