Summary.
The story begins in a small, remote forest, where an alpha king, his queen, and their young son, Zayne, live peacefully, rulling a small village with wisdom, and kindness. But, tragedy strikes the village when it gets attacked by a mysterious and savage force claiming the life of many including the alpha king and his queen, leaving Zayne as the sole survivor. Forced to flee, he escaped into the city, determined to uncover the truth behind the destruction of his family and village.
In the city, Zayne meets Aria, a strong and mysterious lady who captures his heart in a way he can't explain. One night, Zayne stumbles upon a horrifying scene: a pack of wolves feasting on a body. This shocking discovery changes everything. He tried to leave the scenes quietly, but, unfortunately, he was seen by one of them, they pursued him, but Zayne was lucky enough to escape. So, they began hunting him relentlessly.
Unknown to the both of them, Aria is a member of the very pack hunting Zayne, while Zayne hides his identity as the rightful Alpha. As their love deepens, the truth about each other comes to light. Zayne got to find out that the pack's ruthleseader, Draven, his Father's distant brother, was behind the downfall and attack of his village. Usurped Zayne's rightful place as Alpha and forced him into exile.
When Draven discovers Zayne and Aria's relationship, he kidnaps Aria to lure Zayne into a final confrontation. Zayne must fight to protect his love, reclaim his birthright and save himself at all cost.
Resolution: In a dramatic turn of events, Draven got betrayed and poisoned by a member of his own pack. With their leader gone, the pack disbanded, and many wolves pledged their loyalty to Zayne. Zayan returned back to his birthplace with Aria, where they rebuilt the village and established a new life under Zayne's rightful leadership as Alpha.
Characters & Characterization
Zayan: the male lead.
Age: 24
Appearance:
Zayan is tall with broad shoulders and muscular features. He possesses a keen jawline, penetrating blue eyes and voluminous dark hair that carries an aura of effortless charisma. Besides all of the above, he has a scar going diagonally from his left brow, which he received from the tragedy that broke his village. His movements are quick, and in a predatory fashion, which suggests an underside alpha character in him.
Personality:
Zayne is reserved, calm, cautious, kind and mysterious. He's fiercely loyal, intelligent, and resourceful, with a deep moral compass despite his thirst for revenge. He is also impaired on vulnerability and it is a characteristic to keep people at bay rather than to share it with them. Lastly, when he loves, he does that with everything within him, with the whole of him.
Backstory:
Zayne was born into an alpha bloodline, and was raised with the expectation that one day, he'd make a successful Alpha and lead his pack. He grew up getting his father's lessons in leadership and loyalty. However, the sudden tragedy that struck his village and family, changed everything, forcing him to flee as a child. He managed to slip into his native city under cover of secrecy and learned to conceal his authentic self in the world of man.
Motivation:
The propellant of his action is to expose the [perfect truth], and to reclaim his alpha status. At first, he was motivated by vengeance, but over and over, his passion for Aria, and a love of the innocent, gradually began to direct his attention toward justice and helping people heal.
Aria. (Zayne's lover) the female lead.
Age: 23
Appearance:
Aria is a small but fit girl. She possesses an attractive personality which goes well with her figure. Her full, glossy, dark brown hair enshrouding her rounded face in such a delicate way, and her dark brown eyes has the power to give the eye centre the direct focus of the viewers attention unyieldingly. She has tattooed the shape of a wolf's paw on her wrist, symbolizing her commitment to her pack. Her wardrobe blends effortlessly into city life, but her confident posture hints at her hidden strength. ( A werewolf)
Personality:
Aria is bold, independent, and a sharp-witted lady. She is faithful to her pack, however, she is also a critical thinker as regards the way they live and be. Beneath her tough exterior, she's compassionate and longs for a life free from violence, and killing. She's highly observant and uses her intelligence to stay ahead of danger.
Backstory:
Aria was brought up in the pack of Draven and was under strict control of Draven. Though she admired his strength as a leader, she always felt uneasy about the pack's ruthless dealings with the people of the city. She was conditioned to be a hunter/enforcer within the pack, as well as an expert fighter and philosopher. It is the first time Zayne begins to doubt where she fits in, what loyalty is and what that should be.
Motivation:
Initially, it is Aria's loyalty to her group that drives her actions. However, when she met Zayne, everything changed. Her increasing affection for Zayne tests her convictions and brings her to reexamine her values. She's got no desire to be stuck in the cycle of violence and wanting to make a living for Zayne, even better if it means breaking the one and only family she's ever been part of .
Draven: Secret head of the ruthless pack.
Age: 55
Appearance:
Draven is a middle aged man with a strong and menacing aura. He has some white hairs scattered in his hair and his sharp, deep sea green, penetrating eyes shine with awareness. He is a permanent fixture in black clothing and a black hat, in order to vanish in the night darkness and blend with the shadows, as he does not leave or go out but only at night.
Personality:
He is cunning, ambitious, and ruthless in nature, he is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants without counting the consequences. It is out of deep hatred and jealousy he holds towards his brother, Orion, that he takes action (killing Orion and destroying his pack). Lastly, he is a master manipulator.
Backstory:
Draven and Orion grew up in the same pack as brothers, but he always felt overshadowed by his natural sense of leadership, and the love the pack had for him. This intolerance grew year by year, in his heart as an untreated wound and forcing him to conspire with the outside world to bring Orion down and take over the alpha role. Following the desired attack on the village, Draven became the head of a rogue pack, imposing a terroristic rule and spreading terror while remaining protected behind a screen. He instantly lost it the instant he realized that Zayne was not only alive, but also had the key to revealing his pack's secret. He started looking for ways to get and kill him.
Motivation:
His primary motivation is power and control. He is at least attempting to maintain control by obliterating any form of opposition to him, especially the case of Zayne. His behavior is fueled by an unhealthy cocktail of ambition, envy and an absolute compulsion to make a case for himself as better than his brother's legacy by any means necessary.
Orion (The Alpha King)
Age: 46 (at the time of his death)
Appearance:
Orion was a notably tall man with an electrifying presence that garnered him so much admiration. His thick, dark brown hair, often swept back, framed his chiseled face, and his deep blue eyes seemed to glow with endless wisdom and warmth. He possessed a very well maintained beard which complemented his jawline, and his strong physique and plumb composure showed his physical power as a fighter and a leader.
Personality:
Orion was an example of both strength and empathy. He ruled with a firm but fair hand, always placing the needs of his pack above his own and family. Although he was driven by rationality and justice, he was not inflexibly against showing compassion where it was right. He was an exemplary husband and a caring father to his family, teaching Zayne with great hopes.
Backstory:
Born into a lineage of revered alphas, Orion carried the sense of leadership from a young age.He successfully maintained peace and prosperity in the village for years, earning the love and trust of his people. Although a successful apparatus, he relied on his brother, but he betrayed him. Orion, blinded by familial loyalty, never suspected that Draven's envy would lead to a betrayal that'd cost him his life.
Motivation:
Orion's drive was to defend his troupe, and create a peaceful future for his family, most especially, his son Zayne, was the driving force of all of his decisions. Right until the very end, his focus was concerned with Zayne's survival.
Damien:
Age: 23
Appearance:
Damien is slim with a casual and friendly appearance. His dark brown hair, as of a boy who lets it hang loosely at the very least, and most certainly in good measure, is always falling a bit over the side, and his blue eyes reflect not only curiosity, but also a touch of mischief. He is agreeable and can be trusted and has a cute and endearing smile. His style leans towards urban casual—hoodies, jeans, and sneakers. A small scar runs across his left eyebrow, a mark of a rough past he's never fully shared with anyone.
Personality:
Damien is resourceful, street-smart, and fiercely loyal. He is quick of mind and quick of tongue, and not infrequently resorts to humour to bring some levity into spots of strain. Despite his easy going nature, he's deeply empathetic and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. On the other hand, when he is in the background of too large a crowd, he is able to hide his sensitivity under a thin layer of cheerfulness, the effect of which is to keep him enigmatic.
Backstory:
Damien grew up as an orphan in the city, learning to survive on the streets from a young age. Over the years he mastered the tightrope walk between the city's underbelly, consuming any contract just to stay alive. He's seen the darker side of humanity, which fuels his desire to protect others from experiencing the same pain. Lost and disoriented, when Zayne entered the city, Damien realised his plight and gave him shelter, but had no idea Zayen is a wolf.
Motivation:
Damien is driven not only by a deep sense of loyalty and by the need to build transcendent bonds and a meaningful life for himself. He sees Zayne as a brother and he's determined to assist him in the risks that come with living in the city. Even though he has no complete understanding of Zayne's past, he stood by him. His unyielding devotion serves to make him an indispensable partner in Zayne's adventure. Most significantly when Zayne returned to rebuild his pack.
