Chapter 6 - SIX

"CAN YOU RECALL any details about the individual or people who attacked you, Lady Cassandra?"

I pondered how to answer.

"What did they look like, and did they say anything during the incident?" The old man continued questioning.

"Male. Tall, above 6 feet. With white skin, blond hair and purple eyes." I wondered if I should tell them about the other things but decided against it.

"He attacked me within my room an hour ago. I escaped by the forest."

Havana gasped, reaching her hand to her side where a sword rested.

The old man nodded before turning his head to the four individuals behind him. "Dean, gather all Frost Guards and make your way to Lady Cassandra's quarters. Sweep the area— the villain could still be lurking nearby. Joan, check the database for anyone matching the description and see if any others fit the bill. Terop, Gehi, stand guard at the door to Lady Cassandra and see she's protected."

He faced my gaze again.

"We will now leave, my Lady," He bowed to me slightly. "Rest well."

The group of five left the room, leaving only me and the green lady inside.

Fuck. Language. Who cares? Not me obviously. My life is to crazy to care about manners. Really? Yes, you whore.

The green woman approached my side and kneeled. She grasped my hands, making my eyes widen.

"Cassy." Havanas eyes burned ferociously as she vowed, "I will find who did this to you, and I will execute them under the name of the Opal House."

Her grip was tight and calloused, gaze terrifying like a predator.

I grimaced slightly.

I debated telling her not to interfere with the Academy investigation, but I realised that would be dumb as I had no clue as to what was going on. I was still clueless and pretending to be someone else.

"I trust you will, Havana," I responded, patting her hands delicately. "Do not let them go unpunished."

She nodded, as if the weight of the world settled on her shoulders before standing and bowing.

"As commanded, my Lady. I will defend the honor of our House and uphold your name, no matter the cost."

She marched out of the room and closed the door.

My body sunk in relief into the sheets, finally, I was alone.

Just me and my thoughts.

"How unsurprising. Your intelligence is exactly as lacking as I'd imagined—utterly predictable."

I froze. That voice.

My eyes tweaked.

Floaty lunatic was back.

The blond man stared at me, his body directly floating above me arms crossed.

"You seem to have forgotten I've said that our souls share a link." His eyes narrowed, lips curling upwards.

I snickered, opened my mouth and roared, "Guards!"

"…"

"Guards!"

"…"

"Help! Anybody!"

"…"

"Somebody!"

The floating man snorted, drifting to the chair by the window and sitting down. He crossed his arms, mocking, "No one will hear your screams, Kana."

He flashed a devilish smile. "I've sealed off the area."

All tiredness left my body, rage bubbling up like a active volcano.

"Who the fuck are you?"
