Daniel is standing with the others in the cavern, lit flashlights in their hands.
"It's good to see you both," he whispers. "I thought…well, you know."
The group discusses what happened in the painted cave in hushed whispers.
The Beast was on Cormac's heels for a long time, but according to Cormac it suddenly and abruptly seemed to cease the pursuit and let him escape.
"It's still out there somewhere, though," says Daniel. "Whatever it is. We can't go back the way we came. It could be waiting for us. I think we should follow the draft. If air gets in here, there must be another way out too."
"Anything's better than staying here."
"That's good thinking, Daniel. You've kept your head."
I nod, and begin walking.
