Chereads / My Mafia Partner / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Encounter

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Encounter

Ashwin's POV

This is what that betrayer deserved for trying to steal my everything. Who did he think he is?! My boss?! Huh, he couldn't even be in the level of dust mites, and he wanted me to go down? It's not as simple as he thought because I'm the King here.

My name is Ashwin Kumar, and I'm a mafia leader. However, there was a twist. I'm kind of a good mafia, meaning that tracking down criminals who harmed the innocents in the town and give the punishment they deserve for their sins. I'm actually someone who would seek justice, and it's not that easy to take away my identity from me.

"Ashwin, what happened?!!" My partner in crime, Rakshan opened the door in panic, I guess he might have heard the sound of me shooting that dead person. He looked at me before at the dead guy, letting out a huge sigh. "I thought that guy might have hurt you." He walked into the room and checked on the dead body.

I let out a sarcastic chuckle when I stood in front of a mirror. "Huh, as if he was strong enough to even touch me." I adjusted my clothes as it was a bit messy from the conversation I had with the dead guy. Rakshan called out the guards and told them to dispose the body.

Rakshan stood next to me and watched me adjusting my weapons. "So, what's your next plan?" He said after I put my guns back of my pants and inside my suit. I sighed heavily as I knew where was he heading to.

"Dude.....can you just...not to talk about it? I.....I can't...." I was stammering for no reason, but probably because I'm nervous or something. "What do you mean not to talk about it? You were so determined to find her. I mean, this was your lifelong mission." Rakshan frowned and got closer to me with a doubtful face.

I simply ignored him and walked away from the area, leaving Rakshan behind who called my name out loud. I walked past some assistants as Rakshan followed me behind. I finally reached to my room and threw away my suit on the bed in frustration. "What's wrong with you, Ashwin?! Why are you acting so weird?!"

I tapped on the ground and turned towards Rakshan who had a concerned face. "Why are you talking as if you had no idea about anything, huh?!! Did you perhaps forget everything?! Like, literally everything?!" I was not able to control my anger if someone kept annoying me. Rakshan scoffed sarcastically and raised his eyebrows in turn.

"How can I forget everything when I was also part of this 'everything' like you said? I'm sorry to ask this, but are you nuts? What do you think you're doing?" Rakshan kept throwing questions on me for nonstop, I groaned in irritation and looked at him with a slight angry face.

"Rakshan! This is not just something that came today, or yesterday. 10 years!! 10 years of searching, 10 years of vengeance, pain and loss. I know how much I suffered at that time, so you don't know anything about it!!!" I said while kicking the chair beside and knocked it down. Rakshan sighed again and held my left shoulder and patted lightly.

"Look, I won't say you didn't suffer a lot in the past, however.....I think you should find a way to sort out the mess now. You need to go and find her in this town, protect her from all the dangers. I mean, it's already 10 years, are you planning to extend your mission countdown or what?!" Rakshan did make some sense, I was the one who actually creating some unnecessary problems here, perhaps I need to learn to be a better person.

I leaned against the dressing table and looked at myself in the mirror's reflection. "You're right.... it's already 10 years, but....it feels like it all happened yesterday, or maybe even just now. Time went so fast I think." I didn't want to but my brain kept reminding me about the memories I had with HER.

"And you'll continue to extend it even more if you won't start finding her. She might be facing thousands of dangers outside the world, and our enemies are dying to take her life as revenge." Rakshan said with a tint of worries in his voice. I glared at myself and kicked a chair next to me.

I breathed rapidly as my heartbeat went up, I took out my gun and reloaded it. "She won't..."

Rakshan squinted his eyes and looked at me in confusion. "She won't what?"

I smirked intentionally at Rakshan. "She won't face any danger or encounter with those fools, I will bring her here soon. I will protect her with all I can do. Just wait and watch for yourself."

I left Rakshan alone in my room to carry on my biggest mission. The mission which I have been doing for a decade. This time, I will not mess up, I will plan it well and make sure that she will come back to me.

She is my everything, literally.

Sivaangi's POV

Boring boring boring. The only word that I could describe about my boring life. No fun, no family, no experience, nothing at all to understand the real definition of LIFE.

I was walking down the street to go back to my hostel again after having a relaxing conversation with Linda. I have told her about my weird dream so many times but still couldn't find an explanation. However, it made me feel fishy at first, because it looked like I had been in that situation before, but I couldn't remember what.

I'm starting to get tired of thinking about that dream over and over. I guess I should take a break from being so stressed.

I was about to walk across the street when I heard some gunshots coming from a distance, and I heard some vehicles' sounds that were getting closer to me. I started to freak out and tried to find a way to get out of the area.

As I was thinking of a way to exit, someone grabbed my shoulders behind and dragged me into a huge black van. "Hey, let me go!!! Let me go!!!" I was shouting for help when a man who was sitting next to me covered my mouth with his palm.

I got a closer look at his face and I can sense some aura from him, even his dark orb eyes made me feel something new. It's like.....something from the past just came back to me. He dressed up like a mafia but he looked more than just a mafia.

His face began to soften as he looked directly into my eyes. He got closer to my face and whispered in a husky voice.

Sivaangi.....

Wait a minute. That voice.....why does it sound familiar to me? Have I heard this voice before? I couldn't recall it but I definitely heard it before.

What is going on here? Who is this man and why did he kidnap me?
